This is one of the nicest well restored Beetles we have seen in years. The people we got it from bought it in this condition so we don't have much history. The only thing we can find that does not work it the horn and we will go after it given some time. The trim, interior, seals, handles, carpet, liners are all tidy and working. We are installing a new muffler and giving it a tune up. It drives, shifts and handles beautifully. This is the first year of the 12 volt system, stock seat belts, 1500 cc engine, vertical headlights the last year of the andiron bumpers. It is a repaint and there is orange peel on the passenger side if you look close in the right light. Check the pictures out and ask any question you want. Appears to be completely rust free.

1972 VW Super Beetle, 43,625 certified miles, 2nd owner. All original - not restored. Interior and exterior immaculate. Seats and carpets look brand new even though they are original. Owned for 40 years by elderly couple in Pennsylvania then moved to Florida. Always garaged. Absolutely perfect original condition. Not a bit of rust anywhere. Only thing updated was the radio. Engine features:-1641 cc professionally built by Ken Jensen Enterprises in Belmont, CA and still under warranty. -Mild Cam (Engle 100), stock crank and heads, bugpack headers and a quiet exhaust system.-Dual 40mm kadron carburetors set up by The Kaddie Shack of Pasadena, CA. -Electronic fuel pump and Bosch 12v alternator conversion-009 distributor, Petronix electronic ignition, coil and wires-New ignition switch and starter-Interior heat for those chilly days Drivetrain:-Stock IRS transmission and new clutch-Replaced the shift rod coupler with a urethane one: now shifts positive and smooth in every gear-Stylish old-school empi trigger shifter--works great Brakes:The entire brake system was replaced about four years ago: drums, pads, cylinders, lines and master cylinder. In the future, it may need an adjustment with pad replacement. The emergency brake is, of course, functional. Replaced all rubber with urethane in the front end suspension and added new bumpstops in the rear. Sitting on a topline adjustable versa strut kit with stock height sport springs for a nice ride even at extreme low.New tires all around: stock tires in rear, smart car tires in front, port-a-wall whitewall inserts and a full-size new whitewall spare. The car’s original color was Clementine Orange, then red at some point.- New rubber seals all the way around with older 60's bumpers, functional foglamps, pop out windows. -Custom black vanity plate and roof rack. (I have the original year bumpers to go with the car and other miscellaneous parts.) History and overall condition:I am the third owner of the car, purchased in Sacramento 4 years ago. I have been restoring and driving it ever since. Before that, the car was located in Chico with the original owner. It has a clear title.Pans are rust free, though the driver side door hinge will need some attention. I live less than half a mile from the beach-- any exposed metal or cheap chrome will rust. Though I diligently keep up with prevention, occasional small rust bubbles happen in the rear near the corner vents. (An issue with all VW Beetles that possess said vents.)I have addressed the small rust bubbles, but internal foam insulation needs to be removed to prevent the rust from returning. Otherwise the car is solid and free of rust. Over the years, I invested over $11,000 into the vehicle. She drives well and is a real head-turner! Welcome to our listing for this Really Cute Classic Volkswagen Super Beetle. This Beetle is in great condition with only 83,107 miles (the title reads exempt) on the body, has been owned by the same person for the last 14 years, and has been restored for you to enjoy. It has a great color combination of Glossy Brite Yellow exterior and has a Black Velour cloth interior. This Classic Beetle is powered by a 1600 CC Dual Port engine with a 4-Speed manual transmission. The engine was completely rebuilt, had a NEW Clutch installed, and has about 5,000 miles since the overhaul. Everything on the Super Beetle (including the factory AM radio) is working except the horn. The body on this Classic Super Beetle is in really good condition. My mechanic couldn't find any rust on the car and the floors are all solid, good, and ORIGINAL! He claims that is a BIG DEAL! The body is straight and paint shines nicely. It is what I would call a driver quality paint. I am picky and would give it a 7 of 10 overall, good enough to take to your local cruise nights or most outdoor Car Shows. The chrome including the bumpers is all good. The glass is original (excepting the windshield which has one rock chip that has been filled) and is in excellent condition. The interior is "really cute" with the comfortable Velour Cloth seats, new carpet kit, and classic "beetle" floor mats. On the exterior the Wolf Bra keeps the front of the Super Beetle protected from rock chips and adds a nice touch to the overall appearance. I purchased this Super Beetle from the lady who owned the car for the last 14 years. She purchased the Beetle is 2001 and at that time they did a restoration. They did the body and paint, did the interior, and installed a rebuilt engine. I drove the Super Beetle home and it drove great and was a BLAST to drive. When I got home I noticed some oil leaks that concerned me, (the Super Beetle had not been driven since 2011 and it was in inside storage the last 4 years), so I called my mechanic (who happens to be a classic volkswagen guru) and he recommended we pull the engine and "reseal" it properly. The engine was far enough apart that we could verify the low mileage (approximately 5,000 miles) on the rebuild and while we were at it we installed NEW FUEL lines, a new belt, and new spark plugs. Now, this Super Beetle runs out SUPER, shameless pun intended! The final thing I did was install a Brand New set of 165/80R15 tires and a set of Chrome Stainless Steel Trim rings. FINAL THOUGHTS: For the amount of money most Classic Cars are commanding the Beetle and Super Beetle are one of the best values on the market. Don't be mislead by the LOW LOW Fall Close-Out price. At $6,998 this Super Beetle is a Great Buy! This is a very good example of a solid, well cared for Beetle. The mechanics are all nearly NEW and the body and paint are above average. Typical 40 year old car. It is a project, but the engine runs very well. Drives but does need steering, suspension and brake work- driving on the highway is sketchy. It has a few rust spots on it; floor pans are solid and original. Tires are new, less than one year old with less than 200 miles on them. Car comes with a new head liner and front door panels, black in color... not installed. The cars also comes with a new center link not installed as well as a few other parts. Over all the car needs restored. The green paint is not original and looks as if it was possibly sprayed on in the 1970's. Everything electrical works except the turn signals. The plumbing for the defrosters is missing but the fresh air box is present and working. No bumpers. I am not the original owner, the odometer shows ~90000 miles but very well could have rolled over several times. If sold for $2500 I will be willing to ship within 250 miles otherwise local pick up only; payment due before delivery. Open to offers.

I have a 1973 VW Super Beetle that my daughter and I started to restore for her first car. Well we did not get really far on it and now it just sits in the garage since she went away to college. Car has all the parts and many original parts. 1600cc engine was rebuilt but I have not tried to start it. Manual transmission included as well just have not had the car together to use it. Interior is in good condition with no tears. Great project car! This car is for sale locally and have the right to end auction at anytime due to local sale. Will consider trades! This is one of the nicest Beetles you’ll find anywhere. Exterior is very shiny and clean, absolutely no dents or scratches. Interior looks very nice as well, leather has no rips or tears. Full service was just completed and there are no warning lights on the dash and no mechanical problems guaranteed. Tires and brakes are almost brand new as well. Please note – This beetle has clean CARFAX report that shows no accidents, however, upon close examination it does appear that the rear bumper and trunk were repainted from a minor accident.

Zero or low feedback bidders, please contact me PRIOR to bidding to discuss your intentions. You are bidding on an amazing, completely rust free (matching number pan, no replacement or repairs!) European "gray market" 1958 Volkswagen Beetle. This very special Beetle features the small rear "Snowflake" brake light/reflectors, original B-pillar Semaphore flip-out turn signals, headlamps with the turn signals inside the glass headlamp covers, locking steering column, full reclining front bucket seats, clock, and fuel gauge. She is fitted with the more attractive US high chrome bumpers (I think better looking than the lower Euro bumper). Everything on the car is still labeled in German... VIN info, air cleaner instructions, labels, etc. Very cool. A beautiful car, she's undergone an extentensive and gorgeous extended restoration over a number of years, including a rebuilt correct 36HP Type I 1200cc engine, rebuilt four-speed transmission, new clutch, new brake lines and associated components, repacked wheel bearings, etc. She runs beautifully and is very reliable. Original 6 volt system throughout. The undercarriage has been cleaned and sealed in a durable clear, NOT painted... you can see it is all original and perfectly rust-free. The VIN on the pan matches the VIN number on the ID tag. The suspension, wheel wells, and wheels have been restored and repainted. Brand new shocks all around, brand new tires all around, she drives very nicely. Rare parts such as the fuel cap, oil cap, rear ash tray, one-year-only sun visors, etc. are all present. There currently is no radio or speaker in the uncut original dash. The exterior has a newer and beautiful repaint in the original Agave Metallic gold/green color, done in high-end 2-stage RM Diamont urethane enamel and clear coat. She's got a few minor nicks, etc. but still shows wonderfully, even up close. The only body blemis to really note is a small crack in the hinge side of the hood... they only have one hinge and are notorious for this. The glass is the original German Sekurit glass and in great condition, with new rubber, felt, etc. Side windows roll up and down smoothly. Doors are hung perfectly and open/close with ease. The interior is also gorgeous, and features the original headliner and door panels (fantastic condition), new carpet, new seat upholstery, and new dash paint to match. Original green plastic sun visors, front and rear ashtrays, unrestored original steering column, shifter, brake lever, pedals, etc. Very nice speedo showing the original 85k miles. Rare options include the locking steering column, auxiliary fuel gauge, and matching clock, as well as the fully-reclining front bucket seats on original frames. The lights, heater, wipers, locking steering, starter button, charging system, etc. all work as they should... wiring is all original 6-volt generator system with wires changed only as needed. It does come with the original spare wheel and tire, as well as the original jack. The original Semaphores are present but not connected; one works, one does not (bench tested). The fuel gauge works (bench tested), the sending unit does not. The clock is not currently running. Bob Koch (among others) offers rebuilt exchange units, and rebuilding services. The horn works (bench tested), but does not blow from the center steering wheel button... I have not trouble-shot this. The speedometer, lights, front turn signals, brake lights, wipers, etc. are all in proper working order. The heater works properly, as does the parking brake. Again, tires and shocks are brand-new, and the car runs and drives extremely well. This is a turn-key running and driving classic that will only go up in value. This Volkswagen Beetle is a pretty solid 1974 that has had a lot of work done to it and still needs some TLC, I have a lot of time and money(Over $ 2000.00 over purchase amount,) I just had the ball joints re-packed and sealed, the front end still needs work.
