This 1967 VW beetle has been a daily driver for the last few years. Before I purchased it in 2012, the drivers side floor pan was replaced and a 1973 1600cc engine w/ 87mm pistons was installed. For a Beetle it has kick and is fun to drive. It is mechanically sound. Since 2012, I have worked through the body, removing dings and fixing surface rust and re-priming/painting. The exterior of the car looks great. The lights and windshield wipers work. The original radio will be sold with the car but doesn't work (for unknown reasons).Ignition key cylinder was removed and replaced with a switch and slightly hidden starter button (no alteration were made to the dash so a standard key cylinder can be easily re-installed). As the car needed typical mechanical repairs, they were made. So the following items are new / new since 2013:brake shoes and drumsclutchpertronics distributer shocksalternator (placement for generator and regulator) However, the next step in it restoration is the replacement of the passenger floor pan and although the heater channels are not completely gone...if the body is off the frame, the heater channels should be replaced. To the best of my knowledge the chassis is intact, healthy, and without rust through. The cost and logistics of shipment is the responsibility is buyers, however the Seller will work with the selected shipper to make sure the transfer is as easy as possible.

This is the enhanced 190hp 1.8L Turbo, 6-speed version of the Beetle that is essentially a Beetle body put on top of an Audi TT chassis/engine/suspension so I would not recommend it as a kid's first car. It is very peppy, fun and comfortable to drive for long and short trips and is surprisingly roomy inside. Two-tone (black/gray) leather seats are in excellent condition with no cracks or tears. Includes original floor-mats as well. Includes 6-CD changer in the armrest also. Important repairs/updates:- Transferable lifetime rotation and alignment program from national chain- New, professionally installed headliner - Premium interior wood trim package- Tinted windows and windshield top tint strip (lifetime warranty)- New AC Compressor and AC service- Timing belt service done at 63K (good for 75K miles)- Regular synthetic oil changes every 5,000 miles- H-rated, low-profile tires have 13K miles (40K mile warranty)- Valve cover gasket replaced 10/2014- Sunroof and window visors for added ventilation- New battery installed 5/2012- Added a switched bank of 3-12V plugs so radar detector/GPS/etc. (not included) turn off with car The pictures speak for itself but of course it is 13 years old so there are a few scratches to the bottom of the bumper. Rust free classic Super Beetle. Looks and runs great. Has new battery with strong clutch. Interior was re-upholstered before I bought it. Looks new inside. Bought it from a dealership for my daughter as a High School Graduation present but she does not want to learn to drive a manual. That is why I am selling it. The odometer was stuck at 95934.7 miles when I got it. Only put about 1900 miles on it myself. NOTE: I forgot the decimal point when putting in odometer reading before so I rounded up this time. I am sure with the age of the vehicle it has over 100,000 miles. Buyer responsible for shipping. $500 deposit due within 24 hours of sale. You are looking at a 2001 Volkswagon New Beetle 1.9 Liter Diesel engine with manual transmission. I have been driving this car some since I bought a couple of months ago. It runs great. This 1974 VW Beetle has been a California car since new. Previous owner was literally little old lady from Pasadena. I picked it up from the family after she passed away 8 years ago Recently repainted , new window rubbers, body trim and a long list of other goodies, it is a very clean and attractive and impressively solid example that runs and drives very well. Totally stock and un-modified it has been adult owned and driven its whole life. Located in Southern California we have been doing the restoration in past few years. Very cleanly detailed in every corners New Carpet and floor mats new trunk liner. Very straight body with no accidents or damage. Super solid floor pan with battery panel replaced. New taillight & park lamp lenses. New headliner is excellent. New door panels. The original 1600cc engine runs very good and the car is an excellent driver. Fresh fuel lines and gaskets Odometer reads 118,000 miles...this is thought to be original. Nadaguide.com values it at $11,000. In closing this is a nice car.
