I am the proud second owner of this 2006 California Cayman S. It has several unique features, the most of visible of which is the clear engine cover which shows off the beautifully painted intakes and IPD competition plenum. This one-off modification makes this 987 stand out from any other Porsche regardless of price. On the spirited drive to your destination you'll never feel the understeer common in Caymans thanks to the GMG lower control arms and superbly grippy new Bridgestone RE-71R tires. Meanwhile, the other performance upgrades should help you pull away from any other Cayman (except for the GT4). Should you need directions, or a desire to listen to something other than the flat six directly behind you, this Cayman has a Pioneer AVIC head unit with Bluetooth, traffic-enabled navigation, Pandora, and an iPod connection. It was installed by Walnut Creek Customs who made a custom surround for it with full color and texture match to the original interior. I have many of the original parts including the stock aluminum engine cover and carpeting, fog lamps, and yellow side markers. Unlike many other modified cars for sale this Cayman will pass CA smog without a problem, and in fact just did with registration good through January 2018. The car got a clean bill of health at its last service done by GMG. There is, of course, the regular wear and tear one would expect on a 2006 car but it is in otherwise great condition. Weve driven this car for over 240 miles since we got it, runs and drives withtout problems, no pulling, no dash lights, no leaks, everything works fine. Interior is super clean, very well maintained by previous owner, no signs or smell of smoking. Temperature controls have some visible wear and tear, typical for Porsche, can be replaced upon request. This is an 08 CAYMAN S purposed TRACK CAR up for sale. One previous owner, CARFAX Clean that I did an Interseries Spec build for the most part. +/-. You can see from the build sheet. (Still has Air Conditioning) I have had the car for about 2 years and used it as a track purposed DE car. I put around 1k miles on it since its been in my possession. No accidents and garage kept. Although the car has 76k miles it is in very good condition and LIKE brand new as I just had a dealer purchased NEW OEM Short Block from PORSCHE installed w/ 2 year warranty. I can provide the receipts from Porsche. Vehicle has NOT been driven or Tracked since the install last month. It is still considered street legal here in FL and can be registered like a normal passenger car. I left the radio/electronics/air conditioning so that it "could" be driven to and from the track or to the mechanic, gas station etc. This is a commodity with close to zero miles on the motor.. Most all these cars have either high mileage engines, swapped used ones with unknown conditions or tracked/hard driven miles...... It is a perfect DE car. As most people know this is a perfectly balanced car on the track and I have had the most memorable time in. If it was a PDK I'd be keeping it. Attached is the build sheet probably close to $50k aftermarket invested before the new short block last month. Add another approx. $18k for that. So approx. total invested included what I paid for the car is around $100k. Asking $55k obo no insults please. Reason for selling I have been taking my 458 to the track lately and really prefer to get a new gen with PDK. I do have most of the OEM parts that were taken off with the exemption of the seats, and wheels. Those are included in the sale. SAVE your TIME and your MONEY and get on the TRACK NOW without the wait. It took me 3+ months to build this car and a considerable amount of cash.. Sourcing, waiting on parts and finally building it seems like it takes forever. I had a 997.2 GT3, most recent 991 GT3 and by far this car is more fun to drive on track than either of them. At close to $100k total invested $55k is a very fair price point considering the engine is like new. Like I said this cars set up is very close to an Cayman Interseries Spec Build. I build it off their spec sheet for the most part.
