1991 Mercedes 560SEC Coupe, AMG Wheels, 5.6L V8, CA Car, Cold A/C, Updated Sound Final Year Big Body SEC in THE Best Color Combo Nearly $3,000 just spent in recent maintainance!! This week Canyon State Classics is proud to bring to market one of our favorite automobiles here at the shop. The beautiful and powerful 1991 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEC Coupe. This was THE big boy car to own in the 80's and 90's and 1991 was the end of an era of overbuilt, zero compromise engineering from the Silver Star. The following is a list of options as this 560 SEC is currently equipped: -5.6L 299hp V8 Engine -4 Speed Automatic Transmission -Ice Cold A/C -Posi-Traction Rear End -Cruise Control -Power Windows -Power Door Locks -Power Antenna -Heated Seats (VERY RARE) -Dual Note Horn -Fog Lamps -Automatic Climate Control -Hydraulic Rear Suspension -Original Leather Interior -Power Sunroof -Power Seatbelt Arms -Upgraded Alpine Premium CD -Upgraded MB AMG Monoblock Wheels -Brand New Radials The body on the car is in very good condition and was extremely well maintained. The paint on the car is finished in its original color of Arctic White and is in very good condition. The car has been completely inspected underneath from front to back and is solid as a rock as any well cared for garaged car should be. All chrome trim, glass, and rubber seals are in great shape. It just had a full detail done at a cost of over $500 so this car looks spectacular! The car has a deep throaty sound thanks to very well built dual custom exhaust finished off by real AMG exhaust tips. The car has a mean stance thanks to a set of H&R lowering springs and sporty original 18" AMG Wheels with brand new tires. The interior is in very nice original condition all around. The dash and door panels are in very nice condition with zero cracks or damage to be noted anywhere. The creme beige leather seats are all in very good condition and look great for over 100k, which shows the quality of leather used in this car. All wood grain is in excellent condition with absolutely no cracks, and only some waviness on shifter surround. The carpets are all very nice are not worn or damaged. The car also still has OEM Mercedes floor mats. All dials and controls function as they should, power windows and antenna also are fully functional. The sound system is also very nice with the Premium Alpine sound system. All lights, gauges switches, and accessories work as they should. The trunk compartment is very clean and does have the original jack, tools, and the original spare tire and wheel. This car is all there and in excellent shape with all functions and accessories working as they should. Mechanically, this SEC runs GREAT! I have owned nearly 20 80's and 90's era Mercedes vehicles, and this car is definitely in the top tier! This car has all of its recent service as well as special attention to problematic items like the hydraulic suspension, steering box, valve covers and automatic seat belt guides! The car has also been lowered all the way around via aftermarket springs to improve handling and give the car a more "aggressive" look. The car starts right up and shifts smooth as silk. The V8 engine is very quick and responsive. It is reliable, easy to fix, and parts are readily available. The 5.6L V8 has been Mercedes workhorse engine for nearly 30 years, so you know it is just plain reliable. The suspension is very tight and feels solid even at autobahn speeds above 90mph, and is claimed to have a top speed of 156 MPH!The car is tight and right as many other even lower mileage cars are, with no leaks or current mechanical issues. Nearly $3000 was just spent bringing the car back up to snuff including multiple seals replaced, new lower oil pan, new power steering box, new lines to hydraulic system in rear, new flex discs in drive line, complete inspection and repair of climate control system, inspection of brakes and components, and new transmission cooler lines. At least 10 hours of seat time has been recorded behind the wheel and the car was driven back across the Mojave Desert from CA to AZ where we are located. All in all, this is one of cleanest and nicest SEC's that I have had the privilege of being associated with. It has been professionally maintained and truly loved by its previous owner. This Mercedes is a fantastic car for the price and includes every option offered in this car. The car also has a clean California Title. Any further questions please call Jon at 480-703-2337. The car is located in Sunny Tempe, Arizona. This 1988 Mercedes 560SEC is a beautiful example that has been cared for and pampered it's entire existence. Non smoker or pets car in one of the rarest colors I have ever seen on a SEC. I have no extra fees. The vehicle runs strong with lots of power and get up. The engine sounds quiet and runs smooth. It stays cool running in every temperature. The transmission is shifting properly in every gear. The car runs and drives as if it has 50, 000 miles. The exhaust system has the proper components and is solid as a rock. The heat works properly and the air conditioning is and has worked properly. The heated seats are fantastic on cool nights with all 4 windows down and the sunroof open. The pilliarless coupe look of this old school SEC is an icon for style and class. The factory chrome wheels are shiney and bright. This car has 4 brake dust shields that keep dust off the wheels. The tires are 4 matching Michelin tires that are fair condition. The brakes are four wheel disk brakes that stop the car on a dime. The suspension is all working properly. Front end has just had $350 sent on tie rod and alignment upkeep. The rear end is not sagging and feels as it should on the road. Here's something you are going to enjoy about the SEC. When you are stopped and you accelerate, the front end stays down and the rear end stays tight and does not dip so the car feels like a bullet out of a gun. This is common from a proper SEC. You will really enjoy it. The seatbelts have arms that make it easier to reach. They are not working (27 years old). The paint on the car is NEW 4 or so years ago. The enitre car was repainted and it looks FANTASTIC!! There is not evidence of accident damage on this car anywhere. The car has a new windshield so it is clear and mark free. Keyless entry, alarm and built in bluetooth are some great features that were added to make this car a bit more modern. Factory radio works. I purchased this car a few years ago in an exotic car sale. Sold it to a friend (so you know it was good). The friend had it for a few years and 15,000 miles used on special occasions in nice weather. He recently traded it in on another Mercedes Classic. I was happy to take this one back since it is a true beauty. The cruise, horn, wipers, windows, locks, sunroof, emergency brake, telescopic wheel, power antenna, power mirror, radio, WORKS!! The engine bay is nice and clean. The car is not leaking and the air conditioning system will make the nice water puddle on a warm day as it should. The car is ready for a long road trip and daily driving. I put 250 miles on it this week and it was GREAT!! I love the attention it receives. Hagarty antique insurance insures these and shows the value at $7600 with no dip in value ever. The pictures show small bubbles down low on the front drivers side fender near the front corner. There is some bubbling on the chrome bumper as well. Overall a super sharp car! I am Mike at 585-645-5009.

Rare model only 5500 produced. Could use a little TLC but an overall good investment. Ive seen some sell in the upwards of $30,000+ recently. Could use about $4,000-5,000 invested to restore properly.

Normal 0 false false false EN-US ZH-TW X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Up for sale is my 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SEC. This car is decent condition and is a great basis to start with as a project. I bought the car with the intentions of fixing the car up further, but I have too many other projects at the moment, so this one needs to find another good home. The W126 body style was a great design this car surely doesn’t disappoint in the looks department. Although it will need some work to return the car back to its former glory, it has a lot of good things about it that make it stand out from the rest. Below is the quick rundown on all the pros/cons of this car. Specs: 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SEC 5.6L V84-speed automatic transmission179,315 milesBlack exterior on black leather Positives: Normal 0 false false false EN-US ZH-TW X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Paint in good condition (has a few scratches, chips and dings with some swirl marks) – could easily be buffed again to make it look even better. No fading areas.Car has full front and rear European bumpers that are in great shape, along with the European H4 headlights with glass lenses Has the flat face AMG Aero I post-merger wheels (basically identical to the pre-merger AMG Aero I hammer wheels). All wheels have a little curb rash, but nothing that isn’t fixableRuns and drives pretty wellRides smooth down the road and the brakes feel good. Front end and suspension still feel nice and tightCentral locking still worksCrack-free dashboardOverall, the interior is in great shape for the car's age (has typical cracks in some wood trim and slight fading. Also needs C-pillar trim and rear parcel tray to be re-wrapped in new fabric) Original Becker radio that still worksOdometer and tripometer still workBox A original miles and clean/clear Arizona titleBattery is in good shape and doesn’t have any sort of slow drainHeadliner in good shapeCar has never failed to start and run since I’ve had itHas a fairly decent amount of records with it. Unfortunately, there are no records for any major service (i.e. timing chains, tensioners, suspension work, brakes). There are good records of it having oil changes done regularly and receipts for little miscellaneous parts needing replacementEngine runs well and doesn’t appear to have any major leaksCar comes with two keys and the original owner’s manualsHas the rear spare tire, tool kit and jackI have the front license plate filler trim piece and the radiator fan shroud, but they aren’t installed Negatives: Alternator bearing gets a little noisy after running for a while (not bad though)Motor mounts are getting a little worn out, so the motor shakes a little at idle. Smooths out once you accelerate. Transmission shifts a little hard. However, it gets better once the car warms up. Potentially changing the fluid should fix this. Car goes into all of its gears as it should though. Car leaks a few drops of automatic transmission fluid (haven’t had it up on a lift to see exactly where it is leaking). Very minimal leak.Car doesn’t have functioning A/C. Still is the old R12 system. As one can imagine, the original Becker radio isn’t the bestClimate controls don’t appear to change the direction of airflow. Stuck on defrost. Blower motor still works though and the car has warm heat. All of the gauges function as they should, however, sometimes the gas gauge doesn’t work very accurately so it is definitely necessary to monitor the miles.Driver’s interior door panel has a little damage from coming unclipped No third brake light, so there is a “light out” warning light on the cluster. All other lights are perfectly functioning. Windshield washer reservoir has a hole in it so it can’t hold fluid. Warning light for low washer fluid is illuminated. Check engine light is illuminated, however I haven’t looked into what exactly is causing the light.Passenger front window needs help to roll it down (apparently because it slightly came off of its track), but rolls back up just fine. All other windows function perfectly. Radio antenna needs a new rubber grommet to hold it into the rear quarter panel (the antenna assembly is in the trunk and isn’t missing)Quarter-sized rust spot under the trim of the rear window. Not bad at all and there isn’t a spec of rust on the underside or anywhere else on the car. Was probably a southern car its whole life. Car has obviously been in a slight wreck in the front end. Radiator support on the driver’s side is a little crumpled, but the car looks to have been repaired well enough to make the panel fitment pretty good and to make the hood latch as it should. I do not know the details of the accident, but there is no other damage that I can see, so it had to have been a very minor accident. Small amount of body-filler cracking on the driver’s doorTires have tread left, but they are mismatched sizes and are starting to have slight dry-rot. They aren’t flat spotted and still roll smoothly down the road though. Replacement is recommended if you’re planning to daily the car with these tires.Cruise control not operational Overall, this is a very good basis to start with and the car is in good enough shape to be driven as-is. The European bumpers and headlights along with the AMG wheels give the car a great look and it still turns heads. With the rising values of these cars, this is a perfect one to enjoy for a price that won’t break the bank. Again, this car doesn’t need a full overhaul or a complete restoration to make it useable as-is. I purchased the car locally in Phoenix from a gentleman who bought it out in California. I’ve tried my best to describe all of the aspects which I know about the car, but please feel free to message me or call/text me at the number below if you would like any additional information on the car: Alex @ 952-215-5026 I have included a decent amount of pictures, but please message me if you would like all of the complete detailed photos of the car and all its blemishes.
