As a specialist in 107 body Mercedes, we are always looking for premium quality examples. We recently purchased three cars from an estate in Palm Beach where the owner had passed away. This beautiful, low miles, 560SL was the third of the three cars we purchased. While it does not have any service history, we do have it's Carfax history. This Mercedes spend its entire life in California until the beginning of 2016 when it was purchased by the previous owner. This 560SL is in immaculate condition. It is completely rust free, has an absolutely gorgeous body, beautiful chrome, and a nearly perfect convertible top. Inside the gray leather is all original, has no seat dye, and is in highly impressive condition. This is an absolutely stunning looking car. We believe the paint is all original and there are virtually no flaws or imperfections on the body. The wheels have a Chrome Mercedes star on the center caps. It is highlighted by a two-tone black over grey painted pin stripe. The black convertible top is virtually flawless and is believed to be original. The hard top comes with a car and it is in the same condition as the body. Inside the gray leather is beautiful. There are no cracks or warping on the dash and the wood is equally impressive. Every instrument works, and every light on the instrument panel works. This car still retains its original Becker radio and it's working as it should. If you are looking for nice and presentable 560 SL under $10,000, this is the one! This Mercedes is a beautiful white over blue interior with the factory equipped hardtop. The interior is in clean condition and it runs very well. It had the same ownership from 2005 until now and has been maintained as needed. Mechanical - This car drives straight and smooth. It does not hesitate or blow any smoke. The transmission shifts smoothly in all gears and the engine is quiet as designed. The brakes seems to be in average condition and it brakes quickly and accurately. The handling is good and the suspension is firm. All of the electrical items seems to work including the windows and all the lighting. The air conditioning does not work. The tires are in average condition. Body - The body is straight and I believe the paint is original. There is a dent on the passenger's side door. The paint was not damaged and it could probably be removed with paintless dent removal. The black door trim should be replaced. (on the middle of the door to protect from dents) All of the panels fit well and all the gaps are straight. The heat shield under the hood was removed because it was sagging. The chrome looks good and there are no issues. The lighting lenses are crack free and operable. I'm listing the car for my customer. I'm the mechanic. The car has been in her family for a long time. She decided to treat herself to a new E-class. This is the last of the true Benzes. It's built like a tank! Safe and reliable. I have maintained the car for about 12 years. During that time, some of the more significant repairs were made at my Mercedes only repair shop: Throttle actuator, A/C evaporator and condenser, timing chain and guides, transmission frictions and seals, repaint complete exterior, re-dye front and rear seats. The car is very clean inside and out. The car runs and drives excellent. The bad: Closing assist 'suction' for doors and trunk not working (needs assist pump) Rear shocks a little noisier over some bumps with the 18" wheels, we have the original 16" 8-hole wheels with good tires if preferred. The seat leather is a little stiff from the re-dye. We are motivated to find a new home for the car, but please be reasonable with expectations, questions and offers.
