This was THE big boy car to own in the 80's and 90's and 1991 was the end of an era of overbuilt, zero compromise engineering from the Silver Star. The paint on the car is finished in its original color of Arctic White and is in very good condition. The car has been completely inspected underneath from front to back and is solid as a rock as any well cared for garaged car should be. All chrome trim, glass, and rubber seals are in great shape. It just had a full detail done at a cost of over $500 so this car looks spectacular! The car has a deep throaty sound thanks to very well built dual custom exhaust finished off by real AMG exhaust tips. The car has a mean stance thanks to a set of H&R lowering springs and sporty original 18" AMG Wheels with brand new tires. The interior is in very nice original condition all around. The dash and door panels are in very nice condition with zero cracks or damage to be noted anywhere. The creme beige leather seats are all in very good condition and look great for over 100k, which shows the quality of leather used in this car. All wood grain is in excellent condition with absolutely no cracks, and only some waviness on shifter surround. The carpets are all very nice are not worn or damaged. The car also still has OEM Mercedes floor mats. All dials and controls function as they should, power windows and antenna also are fully functional. The sound system is also very nice with the Premium Alpine sound system. All lights, gauges switches, and accessories work as they should. The trunk compartment is very clean and does have the original jack, tools, and the original spare tire and wheel. This car is all there and in excellent shape with all functions and accessories working as they should. Mechanically, this SEC runs GREAT! I have owned nearly 20 80's and 90's era Mercedes vehicles, and this car is definitely in the top tier! This car has all of its recent service as well as special attention to problematic items like the hydraulic suspension, steering box, valve covers and automatic seat belt guides! The car has also been lowered all the way around via aftermarket springs to improve handling and give the car a more "aggressive" look.The car starts right up and shifts smooth as silk. The V8 engine is very quick and responsive. It is reliable, easy to fix, and parts are readily available. The 5.6L V8 has been Mercedes workhorse engine for nearly 30 years, so you know it is just plain reliable. The suspension is very tight and feels solid even at autobahn speeds above 90mph, and is claimed to have a top speed of 156 MPH!The car is tight and right as many other even lower mileage cars are, with no leaks or current mechanical issues. Nearly $3000 was just spent bringing the car back up to snuff including multiple seals replaced, new lower oil pan, new power steering box, new lines to hydraulic system in rear, new flex discs in drive line, complete inspection and repair of climate control system, inspection of brakes and components, and new transmission cooler lines. At least 10 hours of seat time has been recorded behind the wheel and the car was driven back across the Mojave Desert from CA to AZ where we are located. All in all, this is one of cleanest and nicest SEC's that I have had the privilege of being associated with. It has been professionally maintained and truly loved by its previous owner. No issue was ever overlooked on this car. Major recent repairs include rear main seal and transmission reseal, valve cover reseal, new stainless exhaust, new brakes and ABS sensor, and new antenna. Used as a "sunny day cruiser" its entire life, it was never driven in bad weather. No rust or accidents ever. Desireably optioned in Signal Red with Palomino leather and chocolate top. Paint and body in excellent condition with only very minor wear from age/ use(ie small chip touch up etc) There is one small dime sized ding in the center of the hardtop that I attempted to capture a picture of. No dings or major scratches on body. Paint shines like a new car. Interior shows virtually no wear and still looks like new. The leather seats are still supple and soft. Wool carpets are in amazing shape and have extra footwell mats for protection. Convertible top has a tear in it from not being used, however I will replace the top with new german canvas in the color of the buyers choice free of charge with purchase of the vehicle. (original color was chocolate brown) . Trunk retains the never used original spare and complete toolkit still in the plastic bag. Runs flawlessly and everything operates as it should. 1992 Mercedes-Benz 500E VIN # WDBEA36E3NB671972 For sale is a beautiful 1992 Mercedes-Benz W124 500E. The 500E was hand built for Mercedes-Benz by Porsche. Originally, dubbed by automotive journalist as a "Wolf in Sheeps Clothing", the 500E is one of the first in what has now become Mercedes-Benz legendary Super Sports Sedans! This 500E is a two owner, low mileage car with only 99,000 miles! It has never been in an accident or modified. There are not many 500Es like this left! This 500E was purchased by its original owner off the showroom floor of Park Place Motorcars in Dallas, Texas on March 28, 1992. With the only options available on the 500E being a dealer installed phone and CD changer, the out-the-door price was just over $95,000. Accompanying the 500E are extensive service records that document the car’s history from that time forward. The 500E is in excellent condition and will surely please! Click to enlarge This 500E is finished in its original Black Pearl Metallic paint and is rust free. The car has always been garage kept and the black metallic paint is extremely vibrant and looks stunning. All of the rubber seals are still in great shape, the glass is all original, and the car retains all of its original VIN stickers. The 500E wears a like new set of 225/55/16 Michelin tires. The paint is all original with the exception of the left rear quarter panel that was repainted after a parking lot incident with a shopping cart. The repair was completed by the factory authorized Mercedes-Benz body shop in Dallas, Texas. A terrific job was done and is not noticeable, even when told the quarter panel has been repainted. This is documented in the service records. The 500E does have some minor rock chips on the front end and a few minor scratches, none large in size and nothing out of the ordinary for an 99,000 mile car. The hood does has some minor checking, which is common on original paint 500Es. The windshield shows a little pitting and has one small star. The very bottom of the front bumper shows a little wear. I have done my best to photograph all of the blemishes on the car. Overall, the exterior of this 500E is in excellent condition and is truly a rare find! The interior of this car is in superb condition! The 500E retains its original black leather interior that shows very well. The dual power seats are very supportive and show minimal wear on the bolsters, the carpet is in excellent condition, and the dash shows little to no wear at all. The door panels are in very good condition with the only wear being the door pockets are pulling up a little bit. The headliner in in very good condition and it not showing any signs of discoloration, it does say a small amount in the rear. The A/C system is original and still blows cold. The power moon roof and windows operate as they should. The factory radio works as it should with the exception of the dealer installed, when new, CD changer. This car still retains the dealer installed, when new, cell phone mounted in the center console. Overall, the interior is in superb condition. Mechanically the car is exceptionally sound. The M119 5.0L V8 engine fires right up and is a blast to drive! This engine was derived from the 500SL and was rated at 322hp and 354ft-lbs of torque. The engine is mated to a 4 speed automatic transmission that shifts great through all the gears. The cooling system is in great operating condition and keeps the car cool in Arizona’s heat. The steering is very tight and the car handles extremely well. The factory brakes came from the 500SL and feel great while stopping this sports sedan with ease. Overall, this car is mechanically sound and ready to be driven and enjoyed. This 500E is an excellent weekend toy or daily driver. The new 2 door was called the SEC and was met with huge success. For the US there were two engine options, the 3.8 liter V8 or the rarer 5.0 liter V8 engine known as the 500SEC. These ultra- luxurious Coupes were one of the most advanced cars on the road and was also one of the most expensive cars on the market at the time. At the time the SEC was in production, the 126 line was given the award for the safest car in the world and Mercedes also took home J.D Powers and Associates highest customer satisfaction award. The SEC offers a stunning pillarless look design and Teutonic quality rarely found on cars from that era. European Motor Studio is proud to offer this exceptional all original 1985 Mercedes-Benz 500SEC Coupe finished in Classic White over Palomino leather interior. This SEC left the Mercedes-Benz production line in October of 1984 and was invoiced to Mercedes-Benz North America where it was then shipped to Norman Scott. INC. The car then sold new to its first owner on November 21, 1984 in Houston Texas in the amount of $60,805. The car stayed with the first owner until 2009 when the car was moved to Oklahoma City, where Mercedes-Benz of Oklahoma took care of all the cars servicing until moving to Santa Fe with the second owner where it has been since. The car is finished in its original Classic White paint and showing almost no signs of age. The paint finish is beautiful, with only a few small stone chips in the front nose and some small dime size discoloration areas on the right hand side of grey portion of the lower bumper. There are no signs of any paint work anywhere on this car. The interior is absolutely stunning, aside from the driver bolster where some very light wear is visible; the rest of the interior is exceptional. All of the carpets are unmarked and all of the wood is in excellent condition free from any cracks or discoloration. There are no cracks anywhere on the dashboard or any shrinkage of any kind. All of the switchgear is in outstanding condition showing almost no age. The engine starts right up and runs beautifully. The car does not smoke under start up or acceleration and the engine pulls strong through all of its gears. The gearbox is nice and smooth and free from any issues. The steering and suspension have an excellent feel and free from any noises or known issues. The brakes have an excellent positive feel and free from any grinding. The tires have about 80% tread life left and the brakes have at least 50% life left. All of the electronics appear to be operating as designed. The power windows, door locks, power seats, power headrests, mirrors, sunroof, antenna, seat belt arms and cruise control are all functioning as designed. The AC blows cold and heater is blowing hot. All of the lights are functioning as they should including the trunk light door buzzer. The original Becker radio is still functioning as well the as seat belt arms when the doors close. This is an exceptional, all original 500SEC Mercedes and rare to find in 500 form. There is no rust anywhere to be found on this car and absolutely no signs of accident damage or body damage anywhere. The undercarriage is clean and damage and rust free. The car comes with its original tool roll, spare tire on its original tire with the original hang tag, the original jack, all of the original books in their pouch and a Mercedes Huff key along with a clean Carfax and numerous maintenance receipts. Nicknamed de Panzerwagen for weighing in at more than 3,400 pounds, the new SL for model year 1972 was a completely new body, with new luxury and safety refinements. A completely redesigned engine was housed underneath the hood, a 4.5 liter SOHC V8 mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. By the late 1970's and early 1980's Mercedes-Benz had to meet constant changing emissions controls, therefore, causing lower compression and lower horsepower. For 1985 Mercedes-Benz upped the performance of the SL by placing their new 5.6 litre V8 engine into the car, bringing performance back to where it should have been. Introduced in Summer of 1985, the 560SL’s new 5.6 litre aluminum engine gave more horsepower and higher compression and smoother power output. The SL was given the performance it needed and with sales exceeding expectations the 560SL continued to be the reigning king of the luxury roadsters. 5,900 original miles. European Motor Studio is very proud to offer this exceptional 1989 Mercedes-Benz 560SL Roadster finished in Arctic White over Grey leather. This SL left the Mercedes-Benz production line in May of 1989 making it one of the last 560SL’s off the line. This SL was delivered new to Marlin Imports, INC in FT Lauderdale Florida and sold new to its first owner on July 18, 1989. The car then made its way to AZ sometime in the late 90’s early 2000’s with the second owner and then moved again to CA just a few years ago. The car has had 2 owners in its life and has traveled just 5,900 miles since brand new. The paint on the car is near perfect and shows like new. The interior of the car is in like new condition with the smallest mark on the drivers bolster. The dash and center console are near perfect and show like new. The convertible top has been replaced with a Navy blue top and is brand new. The car starts right up and runs and drives like new. The engine does not leak and the car does not smoke on start up or acceleration. The transmission is smooth with no signs of any issues. The suspension and steering are near perfect without any faults and the brakes feel excellent and responsive. The car has just had a recent service and brand new Michelin tires on all four corners. All of the original weather seals are in excellent condition including the original plastic rings on the upper windshield railing for the tops. All of the power options and lights are operating and designed including the original Becker radio and the antenna. Accompanied with the car are the original books, service books with the dealer stampings, tool roll, original spare, first aid kit, keys, and hard top keys. Nicknamed de Panzerwagen for weighing in at more than 3,400 pounds, the new SL for model year 1972 was a completely new body, with new luxury and safety refinements. A completely redesigned engine was housed underneath the hood, a 4.5 liter SOHC V8 mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. By the late 1970's and early 1980's Mercedes-Benz had to meet constant changing emissions controls, therefore, causing lower compression and lower horsepower. For 1985 Mercedes-Benz upped the performance of the SL by placing their new 5.6 litre V8 engine into the car, bringing performance back to where it should have been. Introduced in Summer of 1985, the 560SL’s new 5.6 litre aluminum engine gave more horsepower and higher compression and smoother power output. The SL was given the performance it needed and with sales exceeding expectations the 560SL continued to be the reigning king of the luxury roadsters. European Motor Studio is proud to offer this beautiful 2 owner 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL Roadster finished in Signal Red over Palomino leather with a dark brown top. This 560SL roadster was invoiced to Viti INC Mercedes-Benz in Rhode Island where it sold to its first owner on March 3 25 1987. The car has traveled a mere 96,640 miles from new and has been exceptionally well cared from by its two owners in its life. The beautiful Signal Red paint shows beautifully still retaining a beautiful deep luster and shine. Other than a few small stone chips in the front nose the paint shows well and the body is free from any dents or dings. All of the trim is in excellent condition and showing only minimal wear or age (some of the aluminum finish is just starting to haze and there is one small scrape on the driver side rear bumper). The interior is in exceptional original condition. The leather is still soft and supple with almost no wear on either of the seats. The original dash board is in excellent condition and completely untouched. There are no cracks or shrinkage anywhere and the center console is in excellent condition as well. All of the wood is in beautiful condition retaining a nice color free from any major discoloration. All of the gauges are in excellent condition still retaining a nice orange color on all of the dials and all of the switchgear on the dash and center console are all in excellent undamaged condition. The softop is the original German canvas and in beautiful condition free from any fade or damage and retaining its original marking and logos. The engine starts right up and idles smoothly and freely. There is no smoke under start up or acceleration and the engine pulls exceptionally well. The gearbox is smooth and shifts into all of its gears with ease and without any hesitation or clunking. The steering is nice and tight and free from any drifting or movement in the wheel. The brakes are excellent and free from any fade or grinding (brand new front pads). The suspension is nice and tight and free from any rattles or noises. All of the electronics are operating as designed. The interior and exterior lights are all working including all of the dash lights and courtesy lights. The original Becker radio is operating as designed including the power antenna, the AC blows ice cold and the heater is blowing hot. The power windows all work as designed and the door locks and mirror are working as well. This is an excellent running and driving 560SL that has been exceptionally well cared for and has been stored properly. There are no signs of rust anywhere on the car and the undercarriage is very clean and well cared for. This wonderful car still has had only 2 owners since new (not completely true, but I'll detail, if you like). This Mercedes-Benz 560SEL represented the penultimate Mercedes offered for model year 1988. The new price for this car was more than $90,000--in 1988 Dollars! The only way to spend more money on a M-B car in that year was to buy the limousine. If you have seen the movie "Beverly Hills Cop", please watch the scene where the villain is being driven away from his mansion in a black Mercedes. This guy is supposed to be richer than Croesus, but you can see clearly on the trunk that it is a 500SEL! In my opinion, the reason it was a 500 and not a 560 was the rarity of 560's. This example has always lived in Phoenix, has no accident history, and no rust. All of the glass is original, including the windshield. Its original owner (an older doctor) drove it mostly from his garage to the hospital garage and back. Needless to say there is absolutely no evidence of smoking having ever been tolerated either in or near this marvelous machine. The sunroof works perfectly and doesn't leak. The interior is wonderful. It still has its original rear-seat foot rests, and they are perfect, as is the carpet and the leather. In fact, the front seats have never been sat in! That's right. The doctor ordered sheep skins when the car was new, and he took delivery that way. They've never been off! I added the dash carpet and changed the tires, which had plenty of tread left, just because they were so old that they were becoming dry-rotted and cracked from sheer age. The car has done light duty its whole life. Very few people realize how really quick and fast this top-of-the-line Mercedes is, but it never fails to impress - all the while, getting better than 16 miles per gallon in city driving! Although cruising at the highest legal speed limit is effortless (this is truly an Autobahn rocket), there is rarely the temptation to exceed. One feels relaxed, (dare I say... regal?) traveling in this magnificent machine, and the cares of the world, the pressures of schedules, the oppression of demands on your time, seem less urgent. You are already where you want to be. Recently; I decided to do a mechanical and cosmetic refresh, since it seemed like I would be driving it for many more years. I bought (and have receipts for) more than $800 in brand new pieces; including: New top-of-the-line, cross-drilled and slotted Disc Brake Rotors and Ceramic Pads--all 4 corners New top-of-the-line, Inner and Outer Wheel Bearings, Races and Seals, Front and Rear--FAG Brand New rear suspension gas accumulators--the good ones--not the cheap ones that don't live more than a year or two New blow-proof rebuilt Cruise Control Module--correcting one of the few weaknesses in this model I had located a painter (a true artist) who could re-spray the top-side paint fading (it's a 27-year-old car, after all) for a reasonable price, and was about to have the new mechanical bits (and more installed) by my Mercedes tech, when I was presented with the opportunity to purchase a really outstanding, newer car for a super price. I bought it. My 10-year love affair with this S-Class classy classic must now come to an end. I need the room. My 560 starts and runs beautifully. The climate control functions as it should. I spent $750+ last year for all-new air conditioning, including a new climate control panel. The price has been made such that this car will be irresistible to the right buyer. The effective price for the car is less than $1200, once you consider the $800+ in new parts that come with it. If you have the ability to get the repairs made reasonably (I have a very professional Mercedes Tech), or you want to do the work yourself, it will make you a really outstanding deal. I bought it as a classy real estate car, and it has been that and more; but now it is someone's else turn. I am retiring, too. Just driving it makes one feel somehow like a better person. The legal stuff: This is a 27-year-old car. There is no warranty of any sort (except possibly for the new parts included), either expressed or implied. This car is as I have described it. However; everybody has a different idea about the meanings of one word or another. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that the would-be buyer come and inspect the car prior to auction end. It is an old car. The repair costs that it does need will be virtually all on the labor side of the equation, since I am including most of the (brand new - top of the line) parts that will be needed to complete the renewing. However; someone might think that I didn't do a good enough job of describing some specific thing or other that they find isn't to their liking. Fair enough. I will hold nobody to their offer, if after a belated inspection before delivery they decide that they either cannot or will not complete the transaction based upon my claimed misrepresentation. However; I will require that person to pay my eBay fees, in order to withdraw their offer. Otherwise; everyone reading this knows the drill... your offer is a legally binding contract, and you should expect to be required to perform. I will help with loading for those who want the car shipped. All arrangements are the Buyer's responsibility. It seems silly to state that scammers are not welcome, for obvious reasons. Nicknamed de Panzerwagen for weighing in at more than 3,400 pounds, the new SL for model year 1972 was a completely new body, with new luxury and safety refinements. A completely redesigned engine was housed underneath the hood, a 4.5 liter SOHC V8 mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. By the late 1970's and early 1980's Mercedes-Benz had to meet constant changing emissions controls, therefore, causing lower compression and lower horsepower. For 1985 Mercedes-Benz upped the performance of the SL by placing their new 5.6 litre V8 engine into the car, bringing performance back to where it should have been. Introduced in Summer of 1985, the 560SL’s new 5.6 litre aluminum engine gave more horsepower and higher compression and smoother power output. The SL was given the performance it needed and with sales exceeding expectations the 560SL continued to be the reigning king of the luxury roadsters. European Motor Studio is proud to offer this exceptional 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL Roadster finished in Anthracite Metallic with Grey leather interior. This SL left the Stuttgart production line in June of 1987 and invoiced to Mercedes-Benz North America. The car sold new to its first owner on October 15, 1987 at Park Place Mercedes-Benz in Omaha Nebraska. The car has only 2 owners from new and was purchased by the 2nd owner in 2012 when the first owner traded the car into Mercedes-Benz of Omaha. The car then made its way to Scottsdale AZ where it has been ever since. This beautiful SL has traveled a mere 81,930 miles from new and is fully documented. This car comes with a clean and clear title and Carfax and a Box A actual miles title. The beautiful original Anthracite Grey paint shows remarkably well with very few flaws. There are a few small stone chips in the front nose of the car and in the front hood by the Mercedes badge. The rest of the paint has a beautiful shine with no fade or damage. All of the rubber and chrome are in excellent condition only showing minimal wear. The aluminum door trims around the windows are showing some hazing. All of the original Mercedes glass shows very well without any cracks or damage. The interior is in outstanding condition showing almost no signs of wear. The leather on both the drivers and passengers seats are still very soft and supple and only show very lite creasing on the bolsters. All of the carpets are in excellent condition and show only lite wear, the dash in excellent and does not have the typical cracking or separation. The wood is very nice showing lite fade in color but no signs of cracking or damage. All of the gauges appear to be working and reading correctly. All of the electronics in the car are operating as designed including the original Becker radio, power antenna (sometimes does not fully retract) windows, power mirror, cruise control, all of the interior and exterior lights are operating and the AC and heater are operating as designed. The convertible top is original and in excellent condition, free from any tears or rips. The hardtop is in excellent condition and does show very lite damage to the two chrome pieces on the edges where it meets the body of the car. This SL starts right up and runs and drives superb. It idles with ease and does not smoke or leak. It accelerates very strongly through all of the gears and is very smooth through the RPM range. The transmission shift with ease and free from any issues. The brakes and suspension feel excellent and do not squeak or rattle. The steering is nice and tight and does not drift or vibrate. The car has brand new Michelin tires on all four corners. This SL comes with its original factory tool roll, original key for the hardtop and softop, original Huff cut Mercedes-Benz key, all of its original factory books, service books, warranty books, dealer books and care books including the original data plate and build card. The factory spare tire is present with the car including its original Mercedes tag for the spare tire. This is an outstanding running and driving 560SL that has been exceptionally well cared for throughout its entire life.
