The 560SEL (W126) was the last of the big body Mercedes and the last two years of production were the best in terms of fit and finish of this model. This car is straight with no rust or accident damage. Interior is very clean and all power accessories work. This car has the optional rear foot rests, known as “diplomat pads” since many of these cars were used for heads of state, diplomats and other VIP’s. It also has the optional burled walnut wood treatment rather than the more common zebrano. Original radio. Included are the original owners manual and MBZ shop manuals. This car was owned by a family member until it was passed to me several years ago. This car is in a climate controlled garage and has had only three owners since new, including myself. This car has not sat in a parking lot, in the street or in the backyard under a tree. I have a full file folder of receipts for the work completed on the car. The A/C needs to be recharged. I have a Carfax report for this car, please email me and I will send you a copy. I am selling the car since I have moved out of state. What has been done: This is just a sample of the major repairs. ?Complete front end rebuilt with new upper and lower ball joints and bushings. Tie rods and drag link replaced. ?New radiator with water pump, thermostat, hoses and expansion tank. New fan clutch and MBZ antifreeze. ?Alternator, starter and power steering pump replaced with new belts. ?Steering box replaced. ?Heater monovalve, plus new relays. ?Replaced power antenna. ?Two new Bosch fuel pumps with new control relay. ?Cap, rotor and ignition wires replaced.

UP FOR SALE A 1988 MERCEDES BENZ 560SEL IN A VERY GOOD CONDITION 123600 MILE This car is a beautiful DARK GREY METALLIC (black) with GRAY leather. The vehicle runs and drives beautifully with great power and silky smooth acceleration. All power options function 100% A/C is ice cold (converted to 134A) The Mercedes factory glass is crystal clear and unblemished. This vehicle wears Michelin tires on all four corners and the OEM 15" wheels show very well. The interior of the car is in great condition. The leather is still butter soft and shows no signs of fading. The driver side seat has a little wear shows. This car has been in garaged most of its life. The engine still wears its original decals and factory markings and the engine's metal components and plating look generally clean. It comes with all the Booklets in the Glovebox 2 original keys, Still has the Factory Radio, The car has never been in an accident. Once had a very minor fender-bender. Up for grabs is a 3rd owner, 1991 560SEL. This car has been in our family since 2006 where my dad purchased this car from a used car dealer specializing in Mercedes & BMW automobiles. My dad handed this car down to me 2 years ago when he purchased a newer Mercedes. The car is overall in good condition but not perfect as you can see in the pictures. The bumpers have scuffs and the Driver rear door is a different color as I had it replaced with a donor part when my neighbor backed into it. The sunroof also does not operate because the cable snapped but the motor is operational. Also, during my diagnosis of the sunroof cable I was not able to properly reinstall a small headliner trim panel because the clips had broken off it. Where this car shines is the mechanical aspect since THOUSANDS have been spent in repairs to keep the car in excellent running condition. The engine operates great! It does not smoke or overheat. The transmission shifts excellent! Air conditioner & Heat work great! All power windows work. All heated seats operational. All power seats and front power head rests are operational. Cruise control also operational. Please see list below for all major repairs: 2015: -Complete front end suspension rebuild with Heavy duty Bilstein shocks and all new bushings -Replaced Engine Mounts -Replaced rear hydraulic suspension shocks (2) accumulators (2) & lines (2). 1990 500 series 560 SEL EDITION. Starts up and runs. One window only functioins, sunroof does work, seats are all powered front two and rear. All seats are heated. Cd player displays "wait", not sure why (have not researched), Ac blower does not blow air out.Tires are nearly new, has new oil, new brakes, new fuel filter, new spark plugs.Nice Benz with plenty of potential.
