From Casillas de Coria, Spain. Marine Blue with Alaska White safari roof and wheels over gray cloth. 2.25L diesel, 4-speed manual transmission. 87,000 original miles in the care of just one owner. Used regularly as a bread delivery truck (and occasional ambulance) in a small village in western Spain near the Portuguese border. Starts easily, and runs and drives exactly as it should. No structural rust anywhere, and no rust in the chassis. All the upper bodywork (white painted part) can be removed, allowing the truck to run fully open, with the windshield either in place or folded flat. In unrestored and largely original condition, wearing extremely charming patina. Some dings and dents, and some cosmetic rust in hinges and bolts and such. Recent wing mirrors, battery, front brake pads, brake master cylinder, and brake fluid flush, and ready to drive anywhere. A wonderful, evocative example of the well-loved Series IIA Land Rover, with a truly unique history, ready to write the next chapter of its story on this side of the pond. Conveys with clear Virginia title. Our story and history with the vehicle can be found here: '1971 Land Rover 109 Santana' 1971 Land Rover 109 Series-IIA Santana - 2.25 4-Cylinder Diesel - 4-spd manual transmission, high-low transfer case - 2-door truck, seats 3 - Removable bodywork (see photos) lets you drive open-air - Clear CBP, DOT, and EPA paperwork conveys - Located in Richmond, VA Interior: The original seats had met their match after 44 years, so the previous owner had them reupholstered in the fabric you see in the shots. Seats three across the front, with the rear wide open ready for it's next great adventure. There's some light surface oxidization on some of the interior of the upper bodywork as shown in the photos.  Exterior: The wheels and white upper bodywork are both recently repainted, and while there's some spots of over-spray evident, when taken in context along with the original blue bodywork, it looks just fine. The logo from their bakery remains on the door.  Drivetrain: It just received a new battery, which I mention as you reference Montana - we put in a big-'ol-honker of a battery, rated for 1000 CCA at 32-degrees / and 850 CCA at 0-degrees (Far). The truck fires up quickly and without holding the glow plugs here in Virginia. We just put on new front brake shoes, and replaced the master cylinder.  Misc: It'll need tires sometime in the near future if you're going to go offroad. It does include a spare, 5th wheel.

The rear of the seats are not upholstered, but the seats and backs are, and look good. The truck seats three across the front, with the rear wide open ready for it's next great adventure. There's some light surface oxidization on some of the interior of the upper bodywork as shown in the photos. The interior is otherwise just as any other Series-IIA; spartan, but absolutely functional. Exterior: The wheels and white upper bodywork are both recently repainted, and while there's some spots of over-spray evident, when taken in context along with the original blue bodywork, it looks just fine. The logo from their bakery remains on the door. It'll need tires sometime in the near future if you're going to go offroad. It does include a spare, 5th wheel. The white roof / bodywork is removable, leaving a two-door, open cab pickup. Takes a couple people to get it done, but none of the bolts are siezed, nor is the top painted (stuck) on. Drivetrain: The truck has the same 2.25L four-cylinder diesel as every other Landy, mated to a four-speed transmission. 4WD engages smoothly. It just received a new battery, which I mention as you reference Montana - we put in a big-'ol-honker of a battery, rated for 1000 CCA at 32-degrees / and 850 CCA at 0-degrees (Far). The truck fires up quickly and without holding the glow plugs here in Virginia. We just put on new front brake shoes, and replaced the master cylinder. Administrative: Truck was legally imported through the Port of Baltimore, and conveys with copies of the approved import documentation if requested. Vehicle is currently registered in Virginia, and is sold with a clear, valid Virginia title from a duly-registered Virginia dealership. I'm a big fan of in-person inspections prior to purchase, and will happily talk anyone through the specifics of the truck as requested. In conjunction, the dealership can also review the truck as requested to help answer any specific questions. We can help coordinate domestic trucking, though that is at the expense of the buyer. We are not selling internationally at this time. Thanks for looking
