Rover's North imported it in the late 80s to early 90s, and ECR, the best in the restoration of Rovers, completed a full restoration during that early 90s period (galvanized chassis, engine rebuild, suspension upgrade). The original S3 grill was replaced with a S2a grill at that time based on owner's preference. The truck has seen little use since restoration, approx 3k miles. It was stored indoors. Condition: Not a show truck that you will trailer on weekends or a modern $100k ECR restoration. Looks perfect from 5 feet away. Looks appropriate without apologies from a foot away. Title: Clean and clear.Current State: I recently installed a new fuel pump and Zenith carb. I primarily have driven the vehicle around the island, Nantucket. Before using it daily, I would recommend adjusting the points and tuning the new carb. Fully tuned, the truck would easily go for $25k. I do not have the time based on other projects to further buff this one. Sold as is. Body: Bulkhead is rust free, chassis is galvanized and rust free, door bottoms are almost perfect accept for surface rust on the very corner of the driver's door (now wire brushed and treated with phosphoric acid), footwells with perfect floor boards and "ok" repairs of the upper section of the footwells (no rust or perforations, but I would simply refinish if I was going to keep). I will include the new, bolt in galvanized footwells for a simple, proper repair.

Restoration Work - completed approximately 3000 miles ago. -300tdi Diesel rebuilt-R380 rebuilt unit-NO or scant rust on the usual trouble areas (bulkhead, chassis, rear cross member, outriggers, battery box, door bottoms)-New springs-New Shocks-New Radiator and hoses-New galvanised frame -New clutch, new slave cylinder, new master cylinder-New air intake assembly-New fuel tank, gaskets, and lines-New throttle cable-New brakes and lines-New Exhaust-New driveshafts-Like New side steps-New rims-Newer Factory Tires (about 70% life remaining)-Rebuilt power steering pump-New Paint, matching inside and out. Complete respray. Factory Epsom Green was and remains the original and current color on this truck. A few imperfections here or there.Use: This was my daily driver during summer months on Nantucket. I have put 1,000 trouble free miles (26-28mpg) on her this summer since purchase; my 2013 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon saw less than 150 miles of use this summer. I depend on my car for making 5-10 house calls per day, and this car was an absolute blast to drive and a hit with the clients. I checked and change all fluids regularly. Condition: Fully restored, ZERO rust on chassis, outriggers, footwells, and bulkhead. Mechanically working 100%. -Door bottoms minimal rust at the usual corners. -Rear door with rust and debris along bottom internal channel. These can be had in factory OEM new, color matched for less than $800 delivered from the UK. It does not need to be done, but being a perfectionist, I priced it.-Headliner is OEM with a sag here or there. Sunroof is leak free.-This is NOT a better than new, $100k trailer queen. It is, however, the nicest Defender 90 that you will find on eBay below $60k and is far and away much nicer than the usual polished turds in the 40-60k range with the substandard and unreliable 3.5l V8 or 2.5 NA/TD engines.-Front bumper has surface rust (see photos); easily replaced for fresh, new galvanized unit for $150. Again, not needed.Reason for sale: I have a 1993 110 restoration project and a 1994 conversion project in the works, both of which I would like to complete over the winter for island work next summer.
