Why pay the higher prices in the states when it is so easy to have one imported. I have exported around 100 Land Rovers to the states with all export data to hand to prove this. I have never had an issue with anything I have sent. All my vehicles are 100 per cent exportable with all requirements met in that they all have standard chassis, engine etc and are all over the 25 year threshold. I work closely with a very good shipper and I can arrange shipping for the winning bidder. Included in the agreed price is road transport to the UK docks. Approx shipping is 2000 usd to the east coast and 2500 usd to the west coast. The shipper I use can also arrange for it to be delivered to your door at extra cost. So on to the landy. It is a Land Rover Series 3 featuring a 2.25 petrol engine. It is a very rare safari station wagon and is as it left the factory. It underwent a restoration a few years back and is in very good shape. The whole body is excellent and it is a very solid example. The doors are all in good order. The frame is rock solid as is the bulkhead. All in all very good indeed. The interior is also clean and tidy as you can see from the images. It has the genuine safari roof with the vents in. The floor pans are all very good indeed. The dash is also in very good condition. It does not need anything and is ready to use as it is. Mechanically it is excellent. It starts up great and thr motor runs strong and quiet. It accelerates well and all the gears change smoothly with no issues. The clutch is excellent also. The brakes all work well and the steering is nice and precise. All the electrics work as they ought to. The 4wd and 2wd selection as well as the locking front wheel hubs all work. You are bidding on a very rear collectable diesel powered Land Rover 109 l l A Station Wagon. I bought this vehicle with the intent of totally restoring but just lost interest due to lack of time. Mechanically this Rover is solid and runs and drives as you would expect! Please note that mileage shown on listing my not be correct. I have documented receipts for over $6250.00 in new parts for this Rover and wouldn't hesitate taking it on a lengthy trip! This might be the nicest Series 3 in the states. Full frame off restoration with way too many parts to list.During the restoration the engine was upgraded to the highly desirable defender 1989 200Tdi that increases the horsepower from the original 51HP to 111HP. This Landie now has the power to break 60mph, although the gearing limits highway speed to around 63mph max with the current final drive ratio. We're getting around 25mpg with mixed city and highway driving. It drives perfectly. Runs like a diesel powered top and accelerates strong with no hesitation or lagging. Shifts well into all gears both in and out of overdrive. 2nd-3rd requires a slightly slower shift or a quick tap double clutch as is typical with this transmission. Brakes are strong and even with no noise. All lights (including back spot) work. Mechanically and cosmetically this is a 99.9% perfect Land Rover.The restoration was not intended to be an "off the assembly line" restoration, but it took the best engine and accessories and makes the nicest looking and driving series you will ever see. It gets an incredible amount of attention and admiration everywhere you go, both in Europe and the States.Mileage: 17,875 Kilometers or 11,107 Miles. We checked with the Netherlands DMV when we purchased it to make sure there were no mileage discrepancies or "rollovers". It's a legit incredibly low mileage Land Rover that looks brand new.Title status: Clean Maryland Title showing 11,301 Miles with no asterisks. Historic Maryland plates as well.
