It is the same as the cars imported into the USA except the odometer is in kilometers. See attached sheet for specs. Very rare and special and you will bond quickly. There were only about 7000 Defenders brought into North America and now that production has stopped, this could be a serious collector, or your favorite weekend adventure truck for fishing or off-roading or adventuring. Ready to go. The previous owner has had 3 Defenders and treats them as a project and improves reliability and capability. Some Defenders sit in garages and don’t get much love, but this one has been well maintained by our shop. When you get in a Defender it feels like you are going on an adventure every time you drive it. Just looking at it makes you feel like you own a piece of automotive history, and you do. Features, improvements and service items (all done at Land Rover Roaring Fork) in the last 5 years include but not limited to: Suspension upgrades: 2-inch OME lift with Nitrocharger shocks and steering stabilizer, lower shock mounts, 33 inch (255/85R16) BFG Mud Terrain tires, Heavy duty castor corrected radius arms, HD trailing arms, HD drag link and tie rods, extended bump stops. Drivetrain: Stock 3.9 liter V8 with R380 5-Speed manual transmission, ARB air-locking differentials front and rear with 4.43 ring and pinion gears, Ashcroft heavy duty CV joints and axles front and rear. Interior: replaced transmission tunnel and bulkhead rubber, new seat bases, ARB compressor under passenger seat with air-hose fitting, 2 custom locking storage boxes in the rear, custom Tuffy box center console with Alpine stereo and amp and new speakers, Garmin Montana GPS mount on dash, the rear cargo area is rhino lined for sound deadening and durability and covered with factory load space mat and has a Powertank CO2 bottle mount in the left rear. Exterior: set up Camel Trophy style with a Mantec front bumper and bull bar, Mantec rock sliders and raised air intake. Alloy front skid plate. Superwinch Husky Bill Burke Edition winch with Masterpull synthetic rope. Rockware frame and pinion sliders. Custom aluminum fuel cradle and skid plate. Rear mud flaps. Dixon Bate recovery points front and rear, Hella 550 driving lamps, Red LED light strips under both side rock sliders for night spotting. It has a custom lightweight tonneau cover that snaps and covers the whole interior when the door tops are off. This one has a surrey top only because it was only used in summer only. This is a rare Canadian Spec, 1994 Defender 90 Soft-top. 1994 was the first year that Land Rover imported the D90 into North America making this a very collectable car. I bought it from the original owner in 2002 and then promptly moved overseas. I left the Defender in secure storage, and it was not registered, taxed, insured or driven from 2004 until 2011. Because these cars are so versatile and capable, they are often used for Off-Roading, for races or competition. To be clear: this defender has seen none of that activity and in fact, may NEVER even have been driven in the rain. And it has been stored in dry, secure storage for more than a decade. This car has never been in any form of accident. In June, 2011, it was taken to MCL Motors (The authorized Landrover Dealer for Vancouver) where it received C$5,631 of attention. This included: Full serviceNew BatteryAt this time, the Odometer was recorded as 35,715 KM (or approx 22,500 miles) only. The 10 page service invoice is available. This Defender was then immediately put back into storage. In August, 2013, it was taken to Rovalution, a Vancouver Land Rover specialist. Odometer was recorded as 35,735 KM's. Works included: Full service5 new BF Goodrich Mud Terrain Tyres 265/75SR16 BFDoor sils removed, repaired and refittedRadio head unit replaced/upgraded Installed Hella Rally 4000 Xenon lamps (look like the originals but considerably brighter).Replaced front windscreenReplaced fuel pumpReplace wiper switchClutch Master & Slave Cylinder replacedDrop arm or balljoint replacedTotal cost C$13,000. A copy of this invoice is available. This Defender was then driven for a couple of days and then immediately put back in storage and has not been above ground/outside since -- Odometer reading is now 36,044 KM's only. That's a documented 329 KM's in the last 11 years! However, make no mistake: This Defender will start first time and is ready to drive right now. This car comes with the soft-top and an additional Bikini Top. Both are like new. In short, this car has had whatever needs done to it done by Landrover specialists, but has not really been driven in more than a decade. Radio, head lights and flood lights have been upgraded, Tuffy lock-box installed and tyres replaced and upgraded. Otherwise, this vehicle is exactly as when it left Solihull in 1994. The Defender is in downtown Vancouver, BC and available for viewing. I will be leaving BC at the end of this auction and this car will then be stored until next summer (2016) when it may or may not, be listed again (but at a higher price!).
