This is a SALVAGE titled 2012 Jaguar XJL that is a Run and Drive. The car has NOT been fixed. I have included many pictures and 11 HD videos (and you should watch them in HD to see all the detail) that describe in great detail the condition of the car (both good and bad). I have also written up detailed descriptions of many components of the vehicle below. Please take the time to read the description and watch the videos. It will really help in you making the decision of whether the car is right for you. The car has a salvage branded Arizona title. History I bought this car 4 months ago from an IAAI auction in Phoenix AZ. This was bought from an insurance company. You can see the details in the pictures of the title. My goal was to fix the sheet metal of the car and use it as my daily driver for the next few years. Unfortunately I now have to travel outside the US, and I can’t justify the large amount of money locked into this car. Condition Body/Chassis The accident is in the front of the car only. The Hood, L/H Fender, Front Bumper and Grill and all its components (headlamp washer, front parking sensors etc.), Crash Bar and Support, Radiator Support (where the hood hinges attach) are all destroyed. The R/H Fender is untouched. Everything from the windshield backwards is untouched. All the other body panels are in excellent shape with only 1 very small ding in the right rear door. The paint is super clean. The undercarriage of the car is untouched (see video under suspension). The chassis rails all seem straight except the Left Hand front Shock tower might have moved because one of the support bars is very slightly bent compared to the other side. I have highlighted this in 2 pictures with the Red circles to showcase the difference. I am told that when fixing the car if you pull back the Right Hand fender support (which you must do as it’s clearly bent in the video and is easy to do because its aluminum sheet metal) it should pull back that shock support to its original position. Engine/Transmission These are in perfect working condition. The video shows the car being driven. I have not included a more detailed drive because I was running the car with no radiator. This is no cause for concern, because I ran the car for less than 30 seconds and the engine was stone cold before running. There is a check engine light on because the thermostat was destroyed and the fan sensor is disconected. I have a new thermostat that I purchased and will come with the car. There are no issues with the drivetrain what so ever. There is one broken air filter box that can be seen in the videos above. Suspension/Wheels The car in the videos can be seen as riding high on one side. The Right hand side is sitting at its correct level but the left hand side is high. The Jag has air suspension in the back and when in an emergency the suspension goes to maximum height and firm mode. I believe that the sensor for the front left wheel was disconnected in the accident (which I have since re-connected) and because of that the computer gave the emergency ride height order to the left airbag. Re-calibrating the ride height and erasing the error requires that the car visit a Jag shop with the Jag diagnostic computer. This video shows that the undercarriage is super clean and there is not a single scratch on any suspension components. Even all the plastic cladding underneath is perfect. The wheels are in excellent shape, not scuff marks or anything. The tires are Pirelli P Zero and are practically brand new. Cooling System/HVAC The radiator is broken. The Fan is in working condition with a few cracks in the shroud (see video). The mounting points of the fan are still strong and I am certain the fan could be used as is. The A/C condenser looks slightly bent, but there is no visual break or crushing. It needs to be tested but also looks salvageable. The thermostat is broken and I have bought a new one which will be sold with car. The radiator hoses are all in good shape. The A/C lines are crushed in some places and 2 or 3 will need to be replaced. The transmission cooler looks bent but I can’t tell if it leaks. Should be replaced as a precaution (not an expensive part). The radiator support bracket on top; where the hood attaches; (see video) is destroyed and needs to be replaced. Electrics The headlamps are destroyed. The front parking sensors are missing and so the rear camera system will not work if parking sensors are not attached. All other electrics on the vehicle work perfectly. Rear lights, automated trunk opening (see video), sunroofs, seats, stereo, windows etc work perfectly. There are no issues whatsoever with the electrics, except for a dead battery. The car comes with both keys (very rare for an auction car and replacement keys are expensive). All manuals and spare tire kit etc are stock factory and come with car. Interior The interior of this car is super clean, except for 1 flaw. There is a crack in the driver side door wood panel (can be seen in video). Everything else is perfect. The leather has no cracks, everything works. The headlining is super clean. The trunk area is perfect. The console area is perfect. This is also the long wheel base version so there is plenty of space in the back. I have included 3 videos for the interior. Some is redundant but I wanted to showcase how clean the interior is. Airbag/Safety The dash shows an airbag sign but no airbags or seatbelts have been deployed. This is because I took off the radiator support bar which has 2 front accident sensors attached and the car logged the sensors as unplugged so is throwing that warning. Once the car is fixed, you can erase the airbag light using a Jag computer. In the video you can also see all the error messages showing on the dash. Steering The steering fluid reservoir is broken (I have bought a new one and it will come with the car). No other issues with the steering at all. Brakes In perfect working order If you have any questions please call me at +1.480.559.9988
