Jaguar XJ6Series II1974 4.2 straight six sedan in spectacular condition & presentation This a really pretty XJ6 Jaguar sedan out-fitted in Sable (which I affectionately like to call "UPS brown"!) with honey tan leather interior. The overall combination presents very elegantly indeed. This particular Jaguar was delivered new in California where it resided for about half its life, then about 10 years in Texas and the last remaining years in Seattle with a senior British car enthusiast. As a result, she is completely "dry" without even a spec of rust or scale. Her condition is quite amazing. The body on this car is very straight and never been in any accident. Looking under the hood and trunk is very evident of its originality. Its hard to tell with the exterior paint but it too appears to be mostly original and, if not, only subject to small touch-ups. There are marks & chips here and there from normal use and you can see in certain light evidence of 70s style adhesive side mouldings having been removed on the doors. Otherwise, the paint is consistent and lustrous. There is no fading or major blemishes. There are no signs of rust at the typical places below the front and rear windows. The underside is clean and dry. The interior of the car is in fantastic condition with excellent Connolly hide leather upholstery finished in the Biscuit tan which is perhaps better described as a "warm ochre" colour. The leather is in outstanding condition with just the right amount of patina giving the car a very nice classic look. The headrests are firmly padded and the back of the front seats were refinished in correct matching fabric as per factory specifications. All the wood on the dash is in superb condition. The wood lacquer is in a satin finish, without any lifting and the wood presents beautifully. Compared to the average example it way exceeds and I would rate it 10 out of 10. There is no typical sagging in the headlining. It appears to have been replaced at some stage. The carpet is in excellent shape and is the original fitment. The satin finish of the light mahogany wood in this example blends beautifully with the tan hides – making the interior of this car very rich and inviting. All interior chrome finishes are nice. Overall she looks wonderful with a great British classic look. Interior features and functions are operational including electrics – windows, gauges, lights etc. The A/C needs recommissioning . Everything is generally very clean and crisp. The chrome, stainless steel and bright work finishes are all good without any pitting and the rubber around the car is fine. Especially the US spec bumpers which are normally all sun beaten and damaged. Mechanically, the car is good condition and the spectacularly clean and original presentation under the bonnet clearly shows that. Exhaust is good with the correct looking exhaust tips fitted. Recent work included a rebuild of the head after an identified head gasket leak (cost: $3,000). The car is fitted with a set of period correct looking Firestone 215/70-15 whitewall tires. These are brand new with 100% tread. This is a Jaguar that appears to be free of their usual nuances and typical issues of its age. The 91,500 miles is not verifiable but everything about the car certainly supports it and, in fact, presents as a much lower mileage example. This is a 9 out of 10 driver example that would make for a gorgeous “weekender” - one that you could take to your next Jaguar meet with pride and joy. You would find it hard pressed to find another in equivalent condition. Please take the time to look at the photo link below to many additional photos where I have endeavored to capture how pretty this car is. Please feel free to ask any and all questions you may have as it is an as-is auction. ~~ Being a significantly well-above average example of an XJ6 Jaguar, this will bring a good value and is priced accordingly. Notwithstanding, sensible offers are welcomed. ~~ Please see additional photos at the link below. Click HERE to see many individual photos Click HERE to see many individual photos **PLEASE read auction terms and conditions below BEFORE bidding.** Please note, the $2,000 up-front deposit is a key part of the auction terms and must be paid within 24 hours. If not paid, or if no contact is received within that period, we reserve the right to cabcel the purchase or offer the car to any other party without notice.~~The vehicle is being sold "as-is/where-is" with no warranty expressed, written or implied. Any descriptions or representations are made with reasonable judgment and all efforts are made to ensure fair assessment and accuracy but they are for descriptive and identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. The seller shall not be responsible for errors in description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein and makes no warranty in connection therewith. If any aspect of the description contradicts what can be seen in the photos, then the photos shall prevail as the reference point. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, unforeseen imperfection, defect or damage. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have satisfied himself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgment solely. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects at the buyer’s request prior to the close of the auction. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any written or oral statements about the vehicle. Being a classic car in excess of 10 years of age, in most US states, the mileage may be recorded as “exempt”. In this regard the seller makes no warranties as to the accuracy of the mileage indicated or shown. I can hold the vehicle up to 30 days while you arrange shipping but you must immediately insure it. I will not bear any responsibility for any additional costs including storage, transportation, or repair after the close of the auction. Whereas I am happy to store the car in excess of 30 days from auction end, a cost of $35 per day shall apply beyond 30 days of auction end. Also, you must remember that this is a 42 year old vehicle, and while it is up to you, I do not recommend you just “hop in and drive it across the country” until you have familiarised yourself with the car. At least, I have never done that. I have always professionally transported the cars in enclosed carriers from where I bought them to my home. This Jaguar is part of a private collection. Although licensed and bonded, I am not a main-stream retail car dealer or broker; I am a professional car collector of some 35 years with considerable experience and knowledge of British cars. I have a long standing reputation being associated with the Rolls-Royce marque which I take seriously. I take pride in my cars and have fun in collecting and restoring them. However, auctions are not a game so when you place a bid or offer, and you are the winning bidder, please understand you have entered a binding contract. You cannot bid and win the auction and expect not to meet the terms and conditions. Bidding and/or winning does not mean you are expecting me to “hold” the car until you have the opportunity to inspect it. Any inspection contemplated should be undertaken BEFORE you bid or make an offer and I openly welcome any potential buyer to come and personally inspect the car. Once you bid or make an offer, you are doing so to buy WITHOUT conditions. Your bid can not be subject to anything. A $2000.00 deposit (non-refundable) is required within 24 hours of the close of the auction and payable by PayPal. The balance of funds are required within 7 days of the close of the auction and must be provided by cashier’s check or bank wire. I cannot accept PayPal for the balance unless you are willing to meet the cost of transfer fees. Full payment must be made (and payments cleared) before the title and/or the vehicle is released. All payments are non-refundable. Payments as described above form an important part of this purchase contract and so, if all the funds are not received as outlined above, I reserve the right to terminate the transaction without notice. If there has been any deposit or other part payments received and I elect to terminate the contract, I reserve the right to keep any such deposits or payments and resell the vehicle to another bidder or interested party or re-list the vehicle at any time. To be clear, if you change your mind for ANY reason and do not complete the transaction in the time-frame required, you will forfeit your deposit. I am happy to assist with shipping arrangements on a national and worldwide basis but the winning bidder takes full responsibility for pickup and/or shipping and at his cost. As a collector and experienced restorer of a range of classic cars, I make every effort to bring my cars to a high standard. By comparison, my cars are generally superior to others available but they are by no means perfect. You must expect some issues. Unless specifically stated, the car is not of show standard but of nice "driver" condition. Please understand, show cars cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to achieve and sell for prices commensurate, so the sale price of this car reflects its relative condition. You are buying "condition" accordingly. Buyers should not expect to receive concours quality or "perfect" cars at these prices. Please also understand it is not always possible to attend to every item, or perhaps I may have inadvertently overlooked items. Further, and very importantly, these cars are not new. So this means a 42 year old car is predominantly comprised of 42 year old parts. And old parts will fail. All buyers must understand and expect that things can or will wear out, break and/or stop functioning without notice. This is even more likely with hand-built English cars of early technology when compared to the typical American car of the same vintage. Suspension and brakes on these cars are complex. We thoroughly check them and replace things that are identified faulty. But please understand, by example; if we change a brake line because it appears aged or faulty, we do NOT at the same time replace all other hoses because they are of similar age. This is considered "preventative maintenance". We do not do this unless specifically requested and is not included in the purchase price. Feel free to ask for this additional service. Further, a feature or function that is working perfectly one moment, may decide to play-up the next. After all, it is some 42 years old. This is the nature of any used car and especially classic/old British cars. For this reason it is necessary for the following condition: PLEASE; IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ABIDE BY THESE TERMS, CONTACT ME BEFORE YOU CONTEMPLATE DOING SO AS, RESPECTFULLY, THERE CAN BE NO EXCEPTIONS.I am sorry if these terms seem harsh but there seem to be some very unrealistic buyers out there - fortunately, only few of these people exist but those that do can make life difficult, so it appears EVERYTHING needs to spelled out. Very simply put, this is an old car being offered for sale. It is not new and is subject to the perils of age. Further, Jaguars are not without nuances, idiosyncrasies and they are renown for a host of design issues which can make them not inexpensive to maintain. So, please respect the terms and conditions when you bid. ~~oo00oo~~

Selling our 1992 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas Majestic. We have had it for a few years and don't really drive it much. We acquired it from a private seller which basically had it "garaged". We have only put about 5,000 miles on it since acquiring it -- has 40,186 original miles on it. This Jaguar drives very nice, quiet and serene -- a very luxurious vehicle. It is not given the use it deserves and we no longer have the space to safely garage/store it. It has been meticulously maintained and cared for. Very clean interior. Back seats don't look like they have ever been sat on. Smoke free environment. The exterior is good to very good, there is a slight ding on the right rear door. This particular model is a limited edition, one of 250 made for the U.S.A. in this particular color "Black Cherry" -- you can read about this in Jaguar forums.....A very glamorous vehicle that drives like a gem. Fluted chrome grill, suspension control from sport to comfort, headlamp washer, front lft and right heated power seats, sheepskin floor mats, alloy brass color rims, Pirelli P4000 tires, power sun roof, all ivory/tan interior, power radio antenna. Please see pictures to appreciate this vehicles' features such as rear seat fold down picnic tables, and rear window roll up shades. Original owner's manual, original service maintenance book with service records, two remote controls included. Vehicle sold as is, no returns accepted, please feel free to ask questions, request further clarification or request additional photographs. Buyer will be responsible for the cost and arrangements for vehicle pick up/shipping.

This Jaguar XJ8 is flat out gorgeous both inside and outside. I can tell you from decades of experience with cars this is a very solid and strong runner. It’s very hard to find a solid low mileage Jaguar XJ8 like this. This car has absolutely none of the known problematic areas to watch out for -- from lack of rust especially in key areas, to good head studs, to a top end / valve job unneeded because of excellent compression, this car doesn't need any of that and can immediately be put into use without costly repairs and without any repairs period. And that’s a comforting feeling. it's been gone through mechanically and structurally as this one has been and confirmed to be in working order. Brakes are good with no sticking, or pulling, grinding, vibration, shuddering, dragging or leaking. Steering is tight and correct, doesn't wander or pull to one side. No abnormal noises. Nothing broken or inoperative on the body. Windows and doors open and close and lock properly. Factory key included and no locks have been replaced requiring two different keys...one key will operate all locks. Acceleration is appropriate and healthy. Idling is steady and correct. Suspension status is appropriate and correct. All electrics are operational without any bulbs burned out anywhere or inappropriate current draws or discharging. Charging system working perfectly. Compression is excellent and equal on all cylinders. Cold and hot starts are quick and without delays or issues. The car doesn't produce smoke on start up or while running. The very rare black, along with the black interior, really sets it apart from all the other Jaguar XJ8 of this vintage. To top it all off, it comes loaded from the factory with AC, euro style headlights, five matching Jaguar aluminum wheels with good tires, and a very smooth Jaguar 5-speed automatic transmission. The engine is very strong, does not smoke, nor does it leak or burn oil, also pulls smoothly as expected in all gears, and will easily cruise along at speed well above our highway speed limits. This car has has been garage kept. It is a very well cared for vintage Jaguar that is being sold AS-IS due to its age with no warranty expressed or implied. I have the clear/clean title in hand. In addition to describing it as accurately as possible, I have taken many high resolution pictures at many angles and lighting conditions, please make sure to look at them all carefully: If you would like to view the slideshow on anything other than a pc, please click here: Jaguar XJ8 sedan slide show Also, here are some nice videos of walking around the car, looking inside, under the hood, in the trunk, the car running and driving, please click here: videos of Jaguar XJ8 sedan walk around, driving, etc Happy bidding and good luck! Exterior: The exterior of this Jaguar looks absolutely beautiful. It could very well be the original paint, but one can’t be certain. If not originally, it’s clearly definitely a very high-quality paint from several years ago. The body condition is virtually flawless with perfect door and hood gaps and is arrow straight down the sides with no signs of previous damage. The top is beautiful and doesn't need reconditioning, and same goes for the headliner which is in good shape. The front hood, rear deck lid and the rest of the paint are in excellent condition with minor imperfections from stone chips and the like here and there as expected. Interior: The interior is very good. The interior is in excellent condition, including the stitching which hold nicely. The dash is outstandingly great condition with there is zero discoloration or cracking or warping. The seats are nearly perfect as well. The rear seats, rear deck lid area, door panels, carpeting, and headliner are all in excellent condition. Radio is the original, which is yet another good sign that this car is a well preserved original example since the radio wasn't updated. Mechanicals: Runs and drives very well! Shifts flawlessly and runs well because it has been properly maintained and pampered through the years. It has been gone through and to the best of the mechanic’s knowledge and my knowledge of what is knowable by a Jaguar specialist accustomed to these cars, this car needs nothing to make it a better mechanically or more reliable. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it cross country tomorrow. It simply fires up perfectly every time and never misses a beat. Just a really fun and reliable car experience while getting thumbs up along the way! By the way, lights, blinkers, horn work. Everything works. Payment: $500 deposit is due within 24 hours after auction close (if you choose Buy-it-now, a $500 deposit is due immediately after auction close, no exceptions) Payment in full is required within 72 hours of the end of the eBay listing. The required payment method is traditional international or domestic bank wire transfer. Cash in person is also OK. No checks of any kind will be accepted. Deposit is non-refundable. Pickup/Storage:Transport to a port storage facility or transport broker facility within greater Miami area is included in the purchase price, no extra charged. Once the purchase funds have cleared with my bank it is your responsibility to have the car picked up and transported if you are not using the free port drop off offer. When you are paid in full, I am glad to store the car for a couple weeks, but I don’t want the car hanging out after that. Must be picked up within two weeks after auction end or dropped off by us as above, otherwise storage charge is $30/day starting after two weeks after auction end – no exceptions.

As listed above, this car was rebuilt/reconstructed in Texas. I looked under the car and saw no kinks or bending of frame that was evident to me. The engine runs smooth once started. It shifts smoothly. The interior needs a lot of TLC. Power equipment functions: seats, windows, mirrors, and door locks function. The digital dash functions as shown in the pictures. The previous owner installed a modified aluminum boat tank to replace a leaking OEM tank. I would recommend the building of a conformal aluminum tank for 2 reasons: This will give the proper volume of fuel as well as eliminate any future issues associated with leaking gaskets of the OEM tank. I purchased the digital copy of the complete shop manual for this car and it will go with the car when sold. The drivetrain parts alone exceed the value I am asking for the car by a factor of 2X. The car can very easily as well as cheaply be made road worthy. I bought this car as a restoration project. The car has been lawfully titled, registered, and driven in the state of Louisiana. I do not know the criteria for the classification of rebuild as per the report. I discovered this information when I first listed this car a couple of days ago on E-bay via the automobile background report.

Classic cars are timeless, they never go out of style. This impeccable low mileage example was a Florida car until we took it to the summer house in Cape Ann, Massachusetts where it was garaged year round. In fabulous condition this Jag’s interior has all the bells and whistles, including dual zone climate control, GPS Nav, a 12 speaker Alpine sound system w/ Multi-Disk CD changer & a DVD player with 2 screens. Always dealer serviced whether here (Crown Eurocar) or in Mass (Woburn Motors), we promise that you’ll be very impressed with the car’s condition and its luxurious ride. If it were on a dealer’s lot, expect to pay $15K+ dealer prep fees, tax, tag, and title costs. Our price is $12.5K and we’re happy to share our books and records along w/ its recent CarFax report.

1998 Jaguar XJ8L, gold A spare car I do not drive much so I am selling. Mechanically I've done everything and there are no problems. Water pump went out so I put a new water pump in and I replaced the thermostat as well. Two new tires, all tire and spare look nice. Interior leather very nice. Only problems are the radio does not work very well, the cup holder on the center console does not close, and there is a blemish on the rear bumper. The car looks nice and has 59,700 original miles.
