Up for sale is this beautiful 1967 SS 427 convertible Impala. I am selling it for the owner. It is matching numbers throughout and is an original Z24 optioned convertible. It has undergone a meticulous frame off rotisserie restoration with no expense spared. $44,000.00 was spent in NOS parts alone. Restored by Gary Grant of Maple Ridge, B.C. Canada and painted by Sharp Touch Restorations Travis Brown. It has won numerous awards. In 2012 at the MCACN show in Chicago it won the Floyd Garrett best of show award scoring 987 out of 1000 point. The missing points have now been corrected. Then in 2013 at the Crescent Beach Concours D’Elegance show it won first place for post war. The chief judge scored the car 103 points out of 100. In 2014 at the Vancouver PNE car show it won first place for best muscle car. In 2015 at the Crescent Beach Concours D’Elegance it won again but in a different category, first place best muscle car. It has been in several car magazines and newspapers across Canada. There were 2,124 SS 427 cars produced with the Z24 option, 195 convertibles. 20 to 25 estimated to be 4 speed cars. This is the only one in the SS 427 registry Maroon, Red interior and with White top. During the restoration the frame and all components were meticulously media blasted then coated with high solids and blocked out and then painted for a perfect smooth finish. A lot of detail went into making all the gaps as perfect as they could be. The paint has been polished and is laser straight. For options the car has the following: L36 427 385hp, M20 Muncie four speed, power windows, power steering, power top, F41 suspension, wood steering wheel, power disc brakes, rear antenna, front and rear bumper guards, tilt steering, tinted glass all, AM radio, 12 bolt 3:31 positraction, running lights and a dealer installed power trunk release. Since the restoration there have only been 85 miles put on the car. It has all new date coded glass as well as seat belts and still has its DC coded rally wheels. It still retains its original cowl tag showing the option 4D denoting the Z24 option. The owner has the bill of sale and the window sticker. There are many more pictures but eBay only allows 24. So I picked the best. We are only auctioning this car for 7 days then it will be unavailable. The owner has way more money into this restoration than the buy it now price. This is a 1959 Impala convertible that was wrecked in 1967-68 and left in a pasture. Cows would would lay next to the car on the passenger side and push dirt up against it and caused the passenger quarter and door to rust heavily as seen in the pics. The rear passenger side of the frame is also rusted pretty good. this was an early production car one of the first 2000 made with the rare color of Cameo Coral with grey interior. Other options would be the Mae West bumper, power steering and power bakes. What is in the pictures is what you get. The cowl tag is off the car as not to be stolen while in storage the Vin tag is still on the car unmolested. I do not have a title, I had to make a selection to list the car on ebay and picked flood, water damage, it will be sold with a notarized bill of sale. I have a project 65 Impala Super Sport Convertible #'s match. It is a triple white car w/ white and Turquoise interior. Bucket seats with floor console shifter. It has a #'s match 327 with a power glide automatic transmission. I have been buying NOS & reproduction parts for about 10 years. I know the price sounds high but I have all the receipts, and am only trying to sell all for what I paid! I am not including hours upon hours of labor to acquire these rare parts. #'s match: carb, water pump, distributor, alternator, and starter have all been restored. The NOS parts list is endless and are worth as much as 2 times what I paid for them. It now only needs restored. I started this project to show for points, and I cannot commit to that anymore. I could honestly sell all the parts and car separately for more money, but would love to see this gem completed as a stock original. Renovation was professionally done about 5 years ago. The renovation included the interior of the car, and it looks great! New seats, door panels, carpet, top boot, etc. It has been done in its original hounds tooth pattern. This Impala has power windows, and the vent windows are also power! The power top was rebuilt with new pump, lines, cylinders and a black top. All the original stainless was re-polished and the bumpers re-chromed. The transmission was upgraded to a 350 turbo and shifts great. This Impala gets its aggressive stance from a full air ride suspension that was professionally installed. It has all high quality components from Air Ride Technologies, Viar, SMC, ect. The suspension was also newly installed 5 years ago. It is fully adjustable by the press of a button, and can be set at your desired ride height. All the suspension is bolt on. The car has Tublar upper and lower control arms, with poly bushings, etc. A wishbone setup was installed in the rear, which with the air ride, is a huge improvement over the off centered 3 link. The car rides and handles great! This car was fitted with a new set of chrome Torque Thrust II wheels, 18s in front and 20x10 in the rear, wrapped in new z-rated rubber. These wheels were installed when the renovation was completed 5 years ago. The braking system was also completely upgraded at that time. It has 4 wheel brakes, with slotted and drilled rotors, red calipers, stainless braided hoses and a power dual reservoir master cylinder. The car has a 605 close ratio power steering setup, which makes making turns a breeze! Much easier and nicer to drive than factory power steering.
