You are looking at an original IROC-Z that has been well maintained. As you can see some of the pictures in this add are from the add three years ago when I bought it from Encore Motorcars. The photo credit goes to them on those. I will add more new pictures once it stops raining here in Houston. I won't put this car in rain and if you have been watching the news, then you know we have had nearly three weeks straight of rainy days. The car is about as close to perfect as you can get for an '89 IROC-Z. This car does not get driven in rain or inclement weather. Is always stored in a garage. T-tops do NOT leak and I have not removed them since I have owned. Car is solid and beautiful. I am only selling because I will need the garage space soon. I own two IROC-Zs. Hard decision as to which one to sell but I figure this one is worth more money. Odometer shows 5,709 original miles at the time of this listing. I will drive it a few miles in the next few weeks to have it serviced (once the rain stops). I do my own oil changes but I have someone else grease the fittings etc.. Everything works as it should with the exception of a few minor things. The heater does not blow hot. I never fixed that since I live in the Houston, Texas area. The driver door arm rest has the typical bubble that these cars get. Should be an easy fix. I fixed the passenger one two years ago. The headliner does have some "bubbling" between the t-tops" but isn't "sagging". The bubbling is minor but I will replace the headliner prior to shipping anyway. Things that have been replaced such as original alternator, hatch struts, hatch latch/ motor assembly etc.. come with the car if buyer wants them for records. With the exception of battery, alternator, hatch struts, hatch latch/motor assembly and belts, this car is as it came from the factory. The tires still have good tread. However, I recommend changing them before driving fast due to age. The engine runs strong and the transmission works as it did new. I have the original window sticker that shows the decal delete option for the IROC-Z door sticker and ground effect stripes. I do have door decals and stripes for the new owner to put on if they want them. I personally think it improves the look but didn't put them on since this car is in original condition as is. If I were to drive the car regularly then I would have put them on. However, this one I kept as original as possible. I have owned the car for 3 years and have put around 100 miles on it. I kept the oil changed despite not driving much. Always started on occasion and backed out of garage or driven around the neighborhood to keep moving parts in working order. I usually kicked the speed up to 50MPH every few months but not faster. Absolutely no road rash or scratches on the wheels. It just does not get much better than this. Again some of the pictures in this ad are from the ad three years ago when I bought it from Encore Motorcars. The photo credit for those goes to them. I will add more CURRENT pictures once it stops raining here in Houston. However, this cars appearance has not been altered since I bought it. I will be absolutely honest with any questions that you have. If you need a specific picture then message me and I will get you one. . I want you to know what you are getting. So feel free to ask questions. I won't sugar coat the imperfections on anything that you are concerned about. I will also say that it is hard to find any chips in the paint. There are a few but very very very hard to find. Paint is amazing. This car is amazing for a 1989. Again it feels strong and I love it. Wish I had a bigger garage. I am committed enough to this car that I have put off the purchase of a ZL1 simply because I won't kick this car out of it's parking spot until it has a new safe one. Although shipping is ultimately the buyers responsibility, I will assist in anyway that is practical. I really prefer that pick-up be after June 2nd as my availability will be hard pressed between end of advertisement and that date. Although you may have it shipped earlier, If you give me until June 10th then I will fix the headliner as part of the deal. Feel free to text/call. My cell number is 801-660-7601. The number shows Utah but I am in the Houston, TX area. I had some good strong offers on the last ad that I ran but I decided to run it once more since I have 8 weeks or so before I need that space. Also I will feel happier if the car leaves with a perfect headliner. Again the headliner now looks fine but with a few small "bubbles" I want to be sure that won't end up being a headache for the buyer at some point. Thanks.
