'84 VW Scirocco project for sale, not running. 1.8 8v manual. Excellent start for a project car, straight body. Black with a faded cloth interior. 127,000 miles. The good: Almost zero rust (small spots on the rockers seem very superficial) Complete Never disassembled Very straight Clean title All glass in great shape New battery The bad: Stopped running for the last owner a few years ago and was parked since then Most likely a bad fuel pump Mice moved into the interior Sun baked dash and seats More good stuff: Comes with a new fuel tank (don't know that it needed one, just found a good deal on one and it's good insurance) Comes with a new fuel pump Comes with 2 repair manuals $1000 Available for inspection in Watkins, CO (just east of Denver). 1986 Volkswagen Scirocco with a pretty cool history. Check out driversfound.com /scirocco/ profiles/1986_kim/. This car has been very well cared for. Overall this is one of the nicest Scirocco's I've come across. The body is clean, the interior is very nice. Specs... -Fresh 1.8 8v with rebuilt head (JH bottom end with Hydro head), new timing belt, water pump, all new seals and gaskets including head gasket. -Front and rear European bumper (with headlight washer not connected). -Techtonics stainless steel exhaust, K&N air filter. -Neuspeed lowering springs, Factory 16V lower front tie bar, Factory 16V rear sway bar. -Scirocco "16V" body kit. -White gauge faces, Triple gauge panel (not connected), Corrado steering wheel. -Very nice Tear Drops with good tires. -Drilled and slotted front rotors. -New alternator, radio and speakers. The engine is strong and has plenty of power. The car runs and drives well and gets lots of attention. I'm sure i'm forgetting a few things so please contact me with any questions. Again this is a very nice car for its age and its a good driver that can be taken to shows, however its not perfect. I commute about 100 miles round trip to work in it a few times a week. I have provided detailed pics of the cars flaws, however it does looks great in person and these aren't noticeable.
