Amazing turbo diesel. Nice options. Clean inside and out. Built in Germany. Immaculate leather seats. This car has low mileage for a diesel and has been cared for. I have all of the service history. Clean inside and out. The car was previously owned by an uncle who had a minor collision a few months after buying it new. The car has gone over 100,000 miles since then without a problem. Great highway driver. Hugs the road. I put new tires on a week ago. They have zero miles on them. It was garage-stored for six of the last ten years. Minor cosmetic scuffs on door panels that can be buffed out, rear bumper has parallel parking dings from living in NYC, 1/8 inch chip in front windshield. The finest of GERMAN engineering going up for sale. The car was driven by my mother and garage kept. Everything works in perfect harmony. Only used GERMAN mechanic to change oil. I am selling my 2005 Volkswagen Passat TDI. This car is in great condition and only has about 83,200 miles on it. If you know anything about TDIs, these cars usually last beyond 200,000 miles. I am the original owner and the only driver. Recently this car has two brand new front axles put on and just has an oil change ~500 miles ago. There is a small hole in the rear bumper, otherwise the body is in good condition. This car gets upwards of 41 miles to the gallon. I have also just put in a new cabin air filter and a new dipstick tube. The tires are in great condition. I ran over a deer with this car that was already hit by a previous car therefore no body or chassis damage was sustained. The plastic parts that were affected by this have been replaced by a body shop. This car also has a hard drive for the stereo installed called a phatbox. This is a GL model with alloy wheels. There is a small nickel size dent with no paint damage in the passenger side front. Pick-up within 48 hours of end of listing required. Payment within 24 hours of end of listing required. THIS VEHICLE IS NOT RUNNING, PLEASE READ THIS LISTING IN FULL BEFORE YOU PLACE ANY BIDS. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE YOU BID. CAR IS BEING SOLD " AS IS". We purchased this car from Ebay in April with the understanding that the oil pump and balance shaft issues. Vehicle was not drivable, we rented a uhaul car dolly and brought it home. My husband replaced the oil pump, deleted the balance shaft, and replaced the motor mounts. Car drove, but was in limp mode. It did not have any guts to it at all. So, he took it to a Pep Boys and they put it on a scanner for him, the determined the Transmission computer was not for this vehicle. He replaced the transmission computer and it fixed some of the issues. So he checked for air leaks, found a gash in the main turbo hose, so we replaced that. Still was in limp mode, we also replaced the Air mass Sensor. None of this worked. After hooking it up to a scanner, again, we found that the turbo is bad, torque converter is bad, too. We replaced oil pump, deleted balance shaft, replaced motor mounts, replaced main hose that comes off the Turbo, the Transmission Computer, and Air Mass Sensor Still needs to be replaced: Turbo, Torque Converter, drivers side Inner Tie Rod has some play, drivers side window power motor. There is a large dent in the lower passenger side door, as well as other small dents, dings, and scratch's Interior of the car is dirty, seats do show sign of wear, center counsel ash tray is taped closed. Air conditioning does work, it just needs a lot of TLC and we do not want to put any more time into this vehicle. We have all the receipts for the parts that we have replaced. We tried to be as detailed as we can about issues that we are aware of.
