Wow nice unit, now is the time to buy while all this negativity is floating around about tdi's emission.This is the flag ship year everyone wants the 2003 alh motor tdi car. And is not effected by the current diesel gate. My average driving it has been, 42 mpg everyday driving some city and highway mixed driving, people that buys tdi's are usually life time owners of tdi or mercedes diesel's. I drive it daily and miles will grow some.Automatic car, but if you wanted it converted to a 5 speed I can do that too.This is a great entry unit and priced as such for a college student ,contractor or just really stand up reliable transportation.Just got title on car and called previous owner when I received it, there was a wiring harassness issue with transmission so we repaired and it it runs like a dream!! After calling previous owner they said new motor 40,000 miles ago they paid for a total rebuild. They had just had the timing belt done 4000 MILES AGO!! THATS A 750.00 SERVICE! Which is due every 100,000 miles. and upon inspection it looks great!! like new.I told them I fixed a wire and the car runs great they was highly disappointed, LOL! The paint is Great!! tires are really great too.. Interior is leather but needs, seats in the front. Just did service fuel filter and oil change , just so its ready for next owner.Higher miles 307,000 so what lol, Ive owned several with over 450,000 miles on them. TITLE is clean.

Very nice 2003 Golf TDI in Black. Came in as new car trade. Has been completely mechanically restored. New Koni shocks all around, Eagle GT tires, New suspension bushings and align, new brakes, new alternator, new MAF. complete VAG tune and set up. Will be delivered with new timing pump and water pump, best I can tell belt in car has about 25k on it, not taking chance. Trans has been serviced and changed to Red line MTL for smooth shifting. Throughly road test to 90mph, no vibration, handling right on, no rattles, you can let go of wheel and runs perfectly straight. Took on some rough roads, no rattles. All electronics and electric accessory working perfect. Interior of car is very clean, Body has been gone over, buffed and hand waxed ( not perfect but super nice at 15 ft.) Last year of ALH engine, Beat engine VW built in my opinion. 45-50 MPG depending on driving. some of my customers have gotten up to 55 with light foot. Mileage usually scares average buyer but if you know these cars you also know they will go to 500k. Car is as good as it can be for 12 years old, I am master mechanic of 45 years and spend a solid 60+ hours on these cars freshening up. I specialize only in TDIs probally have about 15+ in lot now. I restore one at a time and work alone. I have about 30 I have sold to local customers that are running around and everyone loves them. 100% better economy than gas, more power, better resale. I'm selling my 2003 VW Golf. I've owned it since 2007 and it was just time to upgrade. Any major issues with the car are cosmetic. There are many miles on it, I do a lot of traveling. It's GREAT on gas mileage even now. The stains on the seats will more than likely come out with a good shampoo. There is a white scratch down the driver side passenger door. My neighbor came home drunk and parked like a fool, hitting my car and denying it. I lost the rear passenger side hubcap sometime in the last 7 years and the end of the oil dipstick is cracked. The glovebox's spring for opening and closing popped out about 3 years ago and I just never got it fixed. But, it IS fixable. The light indicating the car "wants new breaks" is on and the winshield has a crack in it. Other than the cosmetic stuff, it runs. Starts everytime but is a little loud. I think there's a hole in the exhaust system somewhere...Anyhow, great car with minimal performance issues. Call or text Lane 616-298-9950. Asking $2900...make me an offer...
