For Sale: 1979 Pontiac Trans AM 6.6L T-Top This car is exceptionally nice! I purchased the car locally from an acquaintance who's father bought the car new off the showroom! It's a one-family car. All history accounted for and no stories! The original build and sales sheet is included with the car. This is an absolutely gorgeous car! Super straight. All original drivetrain (403ci 6.6L). Shows very well and gets a lot of attention on the road! The car was used as a daily driver during the beginning of it's life, hence the higher mileage on the engine. In 1993, the car became the show piece that it is today. The car was completely stripped to the metal and repainted in its original Mayan Red, and still looks absolutely amazing! Since that time, it has been a garage queen making appearances at local car shows and cruises only. This Trans Am is a perfect example of a fantastic driver! PAINT: Completely disassembled and professionally repainted in original Mayan Red in 1993. Not a single issue with the paint. Shines beautifully! Nothing to address. Super straight lines and sides. You may find two or three extremely small rock chips. But honestly, this car is damn near perfect! DRIVETRAIN: All original 403 cubic inch V8. Completely unmolested. The car fires right up on the first try and will take you anywhere. Idles nice and smooth at 700rpm. I don't ask much of it, because theres not a whole heck of a lot of power to begin with, but I cruise 80mph effortlessly. No struggles, hesitation, or complaints. She'll get up and go where ever you point her. The transmission is also the original automatic. No complaints there either. Shifts well and as you would expect. No noises or vibrations from the rear-end either. SUSPENSION: Front suspension has been completely rebuild. The car drives very smooth. No pulls, shakes, shimmies, etc... Perfect. Turns in nice. No slop in the steering. Super smooth and controlled at highway speed. INTERIOR: Carmine Red. The interior is in very nice condition. Gauges, lights, horn are working. The dash is in very good condition. The seats have recently been recovered with covers from Classic Industries. New headliner from Classic Industries. Very very nice. The only interior faults are the side panels in the rear are cracked and showing brittleness from age. Happy to provide pictures. Also, the original radio is in place but not kicking on. WHEELS: Wheels are original and look great. One of them has a few scratches on an area of the beauty ring. But otherwise, very very nice and with good BFG's. This is one really beautiful Trans Am. You can drive it anywhere without problems. Guaranteed to win your local car shows! On top of that, it's a one-family car with original build sheet! And a T-Top car!! Hagerty ratings would put this car probably between a number 2 and 3 car. Great documentation with originality. Hagerty pegs a number 3 car at $23,000 and a number 2 car at $42,000. Reducing my car collection and selling my 1986 Pontiac Trans Am. I purchased the car in 1999, most of the miles are highway miles.The car has been well maintained and garage kept its entire life. The car is an 8.5 out of 10 condition wise and shows normal wear and tear.everything in the car is working except the windshield washer pump. The pump operates but does not spray fluid. The A/C is cold. Tires have 60% tread life remaining.The car is 100% original including the radio which was refurbished professionally 2 years ago. Still has the GM logo floor mats and the T-Top sun liners. 1986 was the last year of the carbureted engine and the only year with the third brake light in the glass. The carburetor was also professionally sent in and refurbished 2 years ago. The catalytic converter is new last year as well. This car PASSES emissions! Can be driven anywhere. this trans am is in good shape and has the multi port fuel injection 5.0 engine . Paint job and new tires is all it needs to make it look sweet. I purchased the car from a customer because we had done all the repairs for the last 5 years and knew it was a good car. The repairs we had done over that time include heater core, air conditioner compressor, clutch, fuel pump, alternator, starter and battery, tune up, and front wheel bearings. It does not have any rust, the only damage is a small dimple on the hood, paint cracking above right wheel well, spoiler is cracking, clear coat peeling front and rear bumper. I do not believe anyone has ever smoked in it, the customers wife drove the car and was very gentle with it. Has some road noise from the tires. This will make a good classic car with very little work.

1994 Firebird Trans Am 5.7 L V8Pros: This is a few years away from being a classic! * Satellite Navigation/DVD Player fully custom installed (works great)* Runs Great (she purrs and rumbles!)* Decent mileage on the engine* 4 Fairly New Good Quality Tires* New Opti Spark* New Fuel Pump (properly installed)* Fuel Injectors Cleaned* New Trunk shocks and trunk release switch* New Hood shocks* Recent Radiator flush and cleaning* All Interior parts have been sanded and painted black with quality vynl paintI have ALL service records since I bought the car in 2012 work guaranteed at a local shop. These repairs alone cost me more than I'm asking for both cars.Cons: This is a FIXER UPPER ideal for someone who has access to a shop lift, tools and time.- Interior is disassembled but all intact and in good condition in either the original or parts car- 2 holes in the passenger side floor board (have a quote of 500 dollars to repair from a local shop)- Some front end damage, not to severe but noticeable (this is from previous owner)- ALL seals need to be replaced (ideally a rebuild to do it all at once)Lots of other little things, again she is a fixer upper, if you have the time and 'know how' to put in, you can make this a dream car.The 1996 Firebird is a V6 that doesn't run and has 4 flats so it needs to be flat bed toed. The car is black with black interior and does have T-Tops.This is a very desirable color combination. I have done a bit to the car over the last couple of months to get it back to primo condition. The underside is as clean as the top of the car. You will be hard pressed to find a cleaner, more original car for the money. To be honest, this is one of the most solid feeling third-gen f-bodies (82-92 Camaro / Firebird) I have ever been in. The car runs extremely well the engine/transmission have never been modified. While not perfect (the car is 26 years old and has its share of light scratches, tiny paint chips and a ding here and there - check out the link to the pictures), the car shows very well. It appears to have been re-painted at some point in its life and the paint is very presentable. I would rate the body/paint an 8.5/10, The mechanics a 9.7/10 and the interior a 9.0/10. Little to no squeaks or rattles with the windows cracked or t-tops off. With the windows all the way up it does squeak a little bit but nothing compared to what most of these cars do. In June, this car won a Top 5 award at the Third-gen Roundup in Waxahachie, TX. This car places in the top 5 of 51 total cars. Show participants were surprised at how clean of an example this car was. I am located in Richardson,TX. I can and am willing to pick buyers up either at DFW or Love Field airports. This car is in excellent condition and still drives like new!!! I bought it in the fall of 2012. This is car #1186 out of 1600 (100 are Canadian). Always garage kept, never smoked in, no food or drinks allowed, and has never seen rain or snow. Still smells new. This has always been a show car and the trophies that this car won will come with it. I do not need to sell this car but a baby is on the way and it makes more sense to get rid of it now. This type of Trans Am has always been a favorite of mine and has been my dream car. Looking for a buyer who will appreciate this car as much as I have over the years. Very fun car to drive. NO modifications were done and the WS6 exhaust sounds excellent. Comes with all promotional leather booklets, original dealer info, etc. Most desired options are: in dash cd player, Traction Control System, Hurst Shifter, and the 12 disc cd changer (still encased in plastic from the factory). It has the deep anodized blue and not the light blue wheels. Do your research on this car if you haven’t already. There’s ONLY 292 cars with this shifter option. This is worth every penny. Car starts right up and drives beautifully. The only "issue" with this car is a chip by the “Trans Am” on the driver’s side door, which was inherited from the first owner. Engine bay, interior, under carriage and paint is spotless. Serious buyers ONLY. NO trades. NO disappointments!
