Up for auction is a beautiful 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. This has been a fantastic car to own and drive. It turns heads wherever it goes and has won many awards. It recently made a trip to Darlington SC without issue and even was able to turn some laps around the track. Car has been garage kept and besides going to Darlington, has only been brought out in good weather on weekends for shows and cruises. Features included on this car: -Reproduction Snowflake Wheels -Retro Reproduction Goodyear Tires -403 Olds Engine -Automatic Transmission -T-tops -Shaker Hood Scoop (opened for air flow) -True Dual Exhaust (Flowmaster) also with electronic exhaust cutouts. This thing sounds like a beast when they are open. -Functional vintage GM factory CB with antenna -Working AM/FM/8 track radio (8 tracks not included in auction). The radio tunes fine but the tuner needle needs to be reattached to the mechanism as it currently does not move. -Power windows Original Stowaway Spare in trunk with inflation can -1979 Pontiac Dealer Product Manual, Car Manual, and other literature included in sale -Pontiac Racing Jacket seen in photos is included in sale -New Door Panels and Steering Wheel installed within last 2 years The exterior paint is absolutely stunning in person but does have some minor imperfections as would be expected with use. The car has been garage kept and well loved. The interior is in good condition but could use some work. There is a dashboard crack which currently has a thermo/clock over it. Some of the interior plastics/surfaces show wear and can be replaced if desired. T-top seals leak and those with the door seals are dry and can be replaced. Engine is in original condition except for plugs/wires/and distributor. The A/C belt is not currently attached so I suspect it does not work but all components are there. I am selling my 1976 Pontiac Firebird Formula in great shape. Runs excellent. Suspension is tight and relatively rattle free. Reliable and dependable. I recently drove it 600 miles round trip with no issues. I sat in traffic and cruised at 70 mph without issue. I would feel confident driving it cross country as is. Tracks straight and smooth. It has a huge engine but do not expect a speed demon. Sounds great. Looks awesome. Turns heads. Constantly get compliments and thumbs ups on the road. Numbers matching original engine and transmission were rebuilt with pretty much stock parts, nothing fancy.Always starts right up with first turn of the key. I let it warm up well before driving it. Shiny paint with clean interior. No rips or tears. Minimal rust, nothing breaking through the paint. Underside is clean. It is a Florida car. Strong engine and transmission. Newer tires on the rear. Front tires are fair. Wipers, headlights, speedometer, tachometer, temperature gauge, and stereo work. The pics appear a bit orange to me but it is red. I am willing to drive it to your local mechanic for a prepurchase inspection. Decent stereo with cd player. T tops are easy to remove and install. They fit nicely side by side in the trunk.
