You can always count on the Pontiac GTO to generate attention, and when you paint it bright red like this 1967 hardtop, you\'d better be prepared to be treated as a 1-car parade! With a stout 400 cubic inch V8, lots of options, and a great stance, this is an affordable Goat that you can drive without worries. Originally Plum Mist, which is definitely a love-it-or-hate-it color, this GTO received a more popular shade of bright red when it was restored a few years ago. The \'67 model was perhaps the pinnacle of GTO styling, with a sleek look, voluptuous quarter panels and handsome stacked headlights, and the makeover does nothing to diminish any of that. Instead, it draws attention to the GTO\'s finer points, starting with good bodywork that looks straight and fits together rather well. It\'s not a show car, so you shouldn\'t be afraid to get it dirty by driving it, but for folks who know GTOs, they\'ll see this one and nod approvingly when it\'s being used as intended. The simplicity of the design is accentuated by nice chrome and stainless trim, including nicely integrated bumpers, wire mesh grilles up front, and, of course, somewhat subtle GTO badges that let the shape speak for itself. After all, the GTO was always from the \"speak softly and carry a big V8\" school of thought. With a red exterior, nothing works better inside than basic black. Sure, you could do white or parchment or something like that, but if you want a no-nonsense performance look, black buckets in your GTO is always the right choice. The seat covers, carpets, and door panels are in fine condition, indicative of a restoration completed not too long ago, and with a center console and woodgrained dash, the GTO offers a dash of sophistication to go with its performance, as always. Round gauges appear to be original and give the dash a vaguely European look, framed by an original steering wheel that is only just now starting to show its age. A Hurst dual-gate shifter (fondly called the \"His-N-Hers\" shifter) allows for gated shifts much like today\'s manumatics, and makes the idea of an automatic transmission in a muscle car a lot more palatable. Options include factory A/C that\'s now powered by R134a refrigerant and a later AM/FM/cassette stereo head unit that\'s probably been there since Regan was president. GTO-logo floor mats and a correctly outfitted trunk with full-sized spare round out a very cleanly finished driver\'s compartment. Pontiac\'s bespoke V8s were always the weapons of choice in the performance wars and this GTO carries a 1971-vintage YS-coded 400 cubic inch V8, so performance issues are non-existent. Chrome valve covers and air cleaner lend a factory look while corporate engine enamel makes it stand out. It\'s nicely finished and fully functional, complete with power steering and brakes and a fresh Flowmaster dual exhaust system that barks out the most amazing V8 burble. A rugged TH400 3-speed automatic transmission never hesitates when all that torque is churning through it and a 10-bolt rear end plants the power without a whimper. Factory Rally II wheels and 215/70/14 Firestone radials ensure that the car looks and sits right. Fresh out of long-term ownership, this is a driver-grade Goat and there\'s no shame in that. Still beautiful to look at and a blast to drive, it\'s one of the most affordable early GTOs we\'ve featured but no less appealing than its more expensive siblings. Call today! Made famous on the big screen by Burt Reynolds, black Trans Ams have been seeing a huge rise in popularity lately due to the disposable income of the people that cherished these cars in their youth. This 1978 Pontiac Trans Am is an excellent, and clean example, of a highly desirable muscle car that delivers iconic looks. Finished in glossy Starlight Black paint with gold graphics, this Trans Am is a nod to the SE cars we grew to love in our youth. Bodywork is very straight, which is critical in a black car, and gaps are good all around. Even the deck lid spoiler fits well, something that was even hard to get right when the cars were new. The unmistakable gold firebird decal on the hood was the car\'s defining styling element, and it is in excellent shape, as are the rest of the decals which appear new. Those decals continue the homage to an SE car with correct German script \'Trans Am\' lettering, gold decals, and gold headlight inserts. Black was the interior of choice with your all-black Trans Am, and it looks simply amazing in this car. The cloth seats are supple and comfortable, and there are no splits or tears anywhere in the interior. Door panels are also excellent, and the carpets are undamaged by the sun or wear. The gauges are all fully functional, and live inside a dashboard dressed up by Pontiac\'s traditional, gold machine turned gauge panel which remains bright. An Alpine AM/FM/CD player, air conditioning, power windows, and a center console round out the impressive list of equipment in this Trans Am, and a beautiful gold, 3-spoke steering wheel tops a tilting column. As a non-T-top car, the structure is stiffer and more rigid, and the interior is largely free of the squeaks and rattles that often plague the open cars. In 1978, the 400 was rated to make 220 horsepower, and could be paired with either the 4-speed manual or automatic transmission, as in this car. The horses are increased by a mild cam and the engine has been coated in Pontiac Turquoise paint that carries chrome valve covers, and a shaker-style hood scoop. The rest of the engine bay is exceptionally clean, and there are no signs of rust or accident repairs, everything appears new and fresh. The 3-speed automatic shifts cleanly, and power steering with front power disc brakes prove that Americans were starting to discover handling in addition to simple brute horsepower. With a rumbling dual exhaust and those gorgeous gold snowflake wheels, this is still a car that gets respect on the streets, even 36 years later. Nearly everything hints to a Special Edition Trans Am, and although it\'s not a true SE car, it could certainly fool the untrained eye. It still has iconic good looks with that highly desirable color combination. Trans Ams rarely come into our showroom in such great condition, clean, and are certainly never as nicely done with the attention to detail put into this one. Call today! Why spend thousands more on a GTO just to get those three little letters on the side? If you\'re a Pontiac fan on a budget, you shop for cars like this 1967 LeMans, which has been quite neatly restored and upgraded without erasing its identity. First off, this might be one of the nicest $20,000 cars we\'ve ever seen. The color is exemplary, reproducing the original code DD Montreaux Blue. On the sleek LeMans profile, it looks outstanding and whomever did the work should have gotten a bonus, because it\'s dazzling. From the stacked headlights up front to the gills in the quarter panels to the chrome-rimmed tail panel, there\'s no mistaking this Pontiac for anything else and while folks are admiring the car, there\'s nothing that will disappoint them. Gaps are good, the paint shines up beautifully, and it just has that look that says this is a very fast car. I always appreciate it when restorers stick to the factory recipe, so it has all the original badges, including the \'326\' emblems on the front fenders (which I\'ll get to in a moment) and the factory-issued grilles up front. No fake GTO stuff, not trying to be something it\'s not, just a well-executed LeMans that can stand proud on its own merits. The bucket seat interior was also restored back to pretty much factory specs. New seat covers, bright blue carpets, and fresh door panels give it a ready-to-use look that needs no excuses. Deep-set round gauges emphasize Pontiac\'s fascination with the European look, and the wood-rimmed wheel looks right in the sporty interior. That Hurst badge on the rear fascia isn\'t just for show, there\'s a \"his and hers\" gated shifter in the console, one of Pontiac\'s more entertaining ideas for those who chose the TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. Extensive servicing means that all the little stuff works like it should, like replaced light bulbs throughout, lock systems that were aligned and lubricated, and all the other stuff that you just never get around to doing but annoys you every time you drive the car. Well, it\'s already done. A digital AM/FM radio went into the dash, and it has the ability to upgrade to a CD changer or iPod interface in the future. And you can take to the road with confidence, since there\'s a full-sized matching fifth wheel in the trunk, complete with a jack assembly. Pontiac\'s 326 cubic inch V8 is a tough engine that likes to run, so they kept one under the hood when the car was restored. It\'s a nice combination of OEM looks with aftermarket flash, and it means you\'ll never shy away from opening the hood and showing it off. Chrome valve covers, an open-element air cleaner, and Pontiac Turquoise paint on the block look dynamite in the satin black engine bay, with an Edelbrock carb and intake adding some much-appreciated horsepower. Everything has been recently and extensively serviced (call us for details), so it\'s ready to run, and the fresh Flowmaster dual exhaust system sounds downright nasty behind the stout small block. The 17-inch wheels are trick replicas of the Rally II and wear 275/40/17 performance radials that emphasize the raked stance. A great-looking Pontiac that isn\'t trying to be anything but cool, and it totally succeeds. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Charlotte showroom. One of the last cars granted homologation entry for NASCAR\'s premier racing series was the 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix 2+2 Aerocoupe like you see here. Approximately 1225 units were produced for one year only and all were considered a \"no option car\", but actually came fully loaded. This 1986 Grand Prix 2+2 is a rare opportunity to own a collectible car that is part of NASCAR history. All 2+2 models came finished in two-tone silver over dark gray paint job that is highlighted with red pinstriping. The headlights are clear and the rear tail lamps are vivid and crack free with \'GP\' logos placed in the middle. Also specific to these models is the aerodynamic front nose, fiberglass trunk with an integrated spoiler, and bubble rear glass that resembles the same profile of Chevrolet\'s NASCAR homologation entry in \'86 and \'87, the Monte Carlo Aerocoupe. Sitting on 15\'\' Rally II wheels, it\'s a very unique shape and features familiar styling of the cars we knew as \'muscle cars\' in the late 80\'s. Being that the Grand Prix was a sport luxury automobile, the cabins on these cars rivaled high end luxury cars of the time. The plush seats are covered in comfortable gray cloth upholstery, and given the \'2+2\' name, you would think there was only room in the rear for two, but there is a bench seat with seatbelts for three that is covered in the same cloth. The center console features an armrest that encloses a large storage compartment, the shifter for the automatic transmission, and an ash tray. Up front, the dash is clean and straight with a classy wood appliqu%26Atilde;%26copy; surrounding vents for the air conditioning unit and the gauges that monitor speed, RPM, fuel levels, oil pressure, water temperature, and voltage. Below the switches for heat and A/C is an aftermarket AM/FM/CD head unit. Other amenities include cruise control, power windows, power locks and a tilt wheel. Motivation for this coupe comes from a Chevrolet 305 cubic inch V8 that is mated to a automatic transmission. That stout transmission transfers the power to the positraction 10 bolt rear end. The engine bay maintains most of the stock components, but there is an aftermarket air cleaner that has been painted red, and so have the fender braces to match. Put this car on a lift and much of it will look very familiar. There isn\'t any fancy hardware, but it\'s interesting to think that if you were to take a NASCAR Cup car from the same era and put it on a lift, it would look fairly similar. Today that wouldn\'t be the case. To assist in driving this coupe in day to day conditions is power steering, power brakes with discs up front, and 235/60/R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/A rubber putting it all to the road. With very few of these \'86 Grand Prix 2+2 Aerocoupes being produced, or surviving, a chance to actually own one doesn\'t come around very often. When you factor in the limited, one year only production then it certainly has collector status. Throw in the fact that it was built for NASCAR regulations, then that status increases. Call today! When a car is the star of a feature film, an instant classic is almost always born. When it\'s a car like this 1977 Pontiac Trans Am that features the famous \'Bandit\' package we all know and love, you can be sure that the demand for it is just as high today as it was back in 1977. What\'s not to love about the appearance package of this Trans Am? The look is simply iconic with the black paint covered by gold decals and pinstriping. That big hood decal sitting in front of the shaker scoop is the feature of this car and it adds a character that will elicit compliments wherever you take it. Outlining the body panels are bright gold pinstripes that lay in a symmetrical fashion, leading to a \'Trans Am\' decal proudly displayed under the rear spoiler. The black paint provides a shiny gloss that compliments those gold accents. Sitting on the factory honeycomb wheels, the \'Bandit\' package is one that will remain appealing for many more years to come. While the correct tan interior on this Bandit Trans Am isn\'t what appeared in the Smokey and the Bandit movie car, it is still a great color combo and is extremely clean. Besides and AM/FM/CD player mounted in the dash, everything appears as it came in \'77. One of the best features of the interior is the cool steel milled panel that surrounds the clear gauges. The vinyl buckets up front and bench in the rear appear fresh. They are firm with taut covers and make for a comfortable ride. The bucket seats flank a convenient center console that features a large storage compartment and centers the gear selector for the automatic transmission. The door panels are clean with comfortable armrests, and the three spoke steering wheel sits on a tilt column. As you would expect, the heart of this Bandit is a 400 cubic inch Pontiac V8. Things remain stock under the hood, but that T/A 6.6 still growls with plenty of power and torque to keep you grinning whenever you hit the throttle. The power is sent to a 3-speed automatic transmission that is cradled by a solid undercarriage. To make driving this Trans Am a bit more enjoyable, Pontiac supplemented the experience with power steering and power front disc brake. The big motor sends gasses through a dual exhaust system that makes a classic, throaty snarl...it\'s the perfect sound for this iconic car! Cars like this Trans Am are seeing a sharp rise in demand and value. When you include the Bandit look like this one presents, you can count on more appeal which result in an even larger demand. If you\'ve been wanting to chase your child hood dreams of owning a 1977 Trans Am like this, now is your chance. Call Today! This vehicle is located in our Charlotte showroom. A fair warning: I don\'t have nearly enough space to tell you all the incredible details of this spectacular 1969 Pontiac Firebird convertible. Treated to a full Pro-Touring makeover that includes big block power, a 5-speed gearbox, 4-wheel disc brakes, upgraded suspension, and a spectacular interior, it\'s perhaps the most amazing vehicle we\'ve ever had in our Dallas showroom (750 cars and counting). Perhaps this car\'s most striking feature is how it looks. Not that it\'s radical, but rather that something so radical can also be so subtle. The icy blue paint doesn\'t have stripes or graphics, but the finish quality is simply spectacular and worthy of a car at this level. However, it\'s only when you get close to it that you realize this is far, far more than just a Firebird with some flashy wheels. You\'ll note that the door handles have been shaved, which is a classic hot-rodding trick that works as well here as it does on a \'34 Ford. The Ram Air hood has been skillfully modified to clear the towering big block engine underneath, a trick so seamless that you probably wouldn\'t have noticed without me telling you about it. The rest is simply beautifully finished to an extremely high level, with laser-straight bodywork, gaps that you can calibrate instruments by, and paint that\'s almost impossibly shiny. The real trick is how they managed to restrain themselves from making this a rolling billboard for high-performance and get it so right in every way. Take your time with the photos, it\'s worth it. The interior got a fairly comprehensive makeover as well, starting with a pair of white leather Cobra Racing buckets and 5-point harnesses. They\'ll hold you in place no matter what you\'re doing. The rest of the interior is pretty much stock Firebird, all beautifully restored and finished. The wood-rimmed wheel is a little fatter than stock but really warms things up and the stock instruments have been restored and calibrated to work with the new engine. A custom center console is both comfortable and practical, and you\'ll note that the Hurst cue ball shifter shows five forward gears instead of four, but we\'ll get to that in a moment. There\'s also a top-flight stereo system based on a JVC AM/FM/CD stereo head unit with HD radio, and it powers a quartet of 6x9 Polk Audio speakers and an 8-inch Blaupunkt subwoofer, so it sounds amazing. The trunk is finished with carpet and a remote-mounted Optima and a white convertible top seals everything up. Power comes from a GM ZZ502 crate engine which features four-bolt mains, a forged crank, a full roller camshaft, and polished aluminum heads to make 502 horsepower and 565 pounds of torque. A fully polished intake manifold, chrome valve covers, and clean routing of hoses and wires makes the engine bay show quality in every way, and thanks to the wonders of electronic fuel injection, it starts, runs, and idles like a production car. A Tremec TKO600 5-speed manual transmission easily harnesses the horsepower without a whimper and feeds it to a stout 12-bolt full of 3.73 gears on an Auburn limited slip, so you know it isn\'t going to break. The suspension is augmented with Hotchkiss components, Bilstein shocks, and a Unisteer power rack-and-pinion steering setup, as well as oversized SSBC disc brakes at all four corners. A gorgeous custom exhaust system tucks the pipes and mufflers up high for great ground clearance despite the lowered ride height. Finally, a set of 18-inch Dale Earnhardt Jr. wheels were fitted with staggered 225/45/18 front and 275/40/18 rear performance radials to keep it stuck to the ground. Like I said, there\'s just not enough room to cover all the awesomeness that is this Firebird. If you\'re big enough to want to play with the best, give us a call for all the spectacular details. We all know that tribute cars are a great way to own and drive a legend without the massive cash it requires to buy the real thing, but this 1965 Pontiac LeMans convertible is one of the more convincing GTO tributes we\'ve seen. It\'s not meant to be an exact duplicate, but with a 389 Tri-Power V8, gorgeous red paint, and a top that goes down, nobody\'s going to be asking questions about casting numbers. The color is Montero Red and if you\'re going to drive a \'60s muscle car with a top that goes down, there\'s really no point in trying to be subtle. GM styling was on a roll in \'65, with stacked headlights making their debut and the Tempest/GTO benefitted from a major restyling to make one of the best-looking Goats of all. Panel fit is pretty darned good all around, particularly for a 50-year-old convertible and those massive quarters are very, very straight. A black pinstripe highlights the car\'s length and forward-canted headlights, as well as the subtle kick-up right behind the doors, adding interest, and, of course, all the proper GTO badges were installed in their correct locations. The grille, hood scoop, and incredibly intricate taillights are all accurate enough to fool most onlookers, and the condition of the chrome will convince people that the big money was spent on the restoration. Black buckets with their distinctive Pontiac diagonal stitching anchor a very correct interior. Reproduction seat covers fit snugly on the low-back buckets and show only very minor signs of use, while the rear bench looks virtually new. The fat wood-rimmed steering wheel isn\'t quite correct, but the three-spoke design has a racy \'60s appearance, and you know they went the extra mile with the correct GTO gauges in the dash. There\'s also an accessory tach mounted on the steering column with the vents for the A/C under the dash where they mostly stay out of sight. The center console and dash are covered in fairly convincing wood appliques that are a good match to the steering wheel, and even inside they made sure to add the proper GTO badges on the dash and door panels. It\'s equipped with a very well-fitted power convertible top with a crystal clear rear window and matching black boot. The trunk is also finished correctly with a reproduction mat and full-sized spare. The engine is a proper 389 cubic inch V8 topped with three 2-barrel carbs under correct individual chrome air cleaners. Pontiac Turquoise paint, chrome valve covers, and other details make for a convincing presentation, although the upgraded Accel ignition system spoils the illusion a little bit. Long-tube headers feed a mellow-sounding dual exhaust system that sounds quite correct. You\'ll note that the A/C system uses a modern compressor and R134a refrigerant, so it\'s reliable and easy to service, even though as a convertible, you probably won\'t use it all that often. The engine is backed by a proper TH400 3-speed automatic transmission and the original rear end, so the drivetrain is pretty tough. Flashy vintage ET mag wheels give it a period performance look and wear 225/70/14 BFG radials all around. A great-looking tribute car that gets all the big stuff right so you can enjoy the legend without the legendary price tag. Sometimes less really is more. Call today! In the late 1970s, Pontiac was one of the few domestic automakers who remembered how to make horsepower. This highly optioned 1979 Trans Am, for example, is powered by a 403 cubic inch V8 that makes a respectable 185 horsepower. It\'s also rather rare given that it isn\'t gold, black, or silver and showing up in this one means proudly letting everyone know you\'re a big fan of the 1970s. The color is called Nocturne Blue, and it is both gorgeous and rather unusual for 1979 Trans Ams, and this handsome example is in great condition throughout, showing careful ownership and excellent care throughout its life. However, unlike many of its siblings, this one has pretty good color matching throughout, proving that it\'s been well maintained and kept out of the sun, but the soft shine suggests vintage paint. These cars were also heavy on the decals and pinstripes, of course, and they remain in excellent condition with very little fading and excellent adhesion. The blacked-out grilles and color-matched headlight buckets are in excellent condition, and the cool Trans Am taillights are still bright and clear. The only way Trans Ams came in 1979 was loaded, and that included a luxuriously appointed interior. The blue fabric seats in this car remain in good condition with wear appropriate to a car with half as many years on it-they\'re excellent. There are a few creases here and there on the driver\'s seat, but the passenger\'s seat is amazingly well preserved and the back seat looks like new. The dash features a cool engine-turned panel that houses a full array of functional gauges as well as a later AM/FM/cassette radio that powers a set of speakers fitted to the door panels. The dash pad, console, door panels and even the headliner are all in very good shape. This car comes equipped with factory A/C and you\'ll notice that this is an authentic power window car, with those round, black Firebird emblems on the doors installed to hide the holes where the window cranks would ordinarily live. The Oldsmobile-built 403 cubic inch V8 makes great muscle car sounds and still moves the car with genuine authority. Sure, it\'s a little scruffy under the hood, but there are no major issues and a weekend of detailing would pay big dividends. If you\'re interested in driving, on the other hand, you\'ll be happy to know that it starts quickly and drives beautifully. The snorkel feeding the air cleaner (which only looks like a hood scoop, but is non-functional) is in excellent condition, and many of the original components are still intact. Routine maintenance items have obviously been conscientiously replaced during the last 34 years, but overall this is a highly original and nicely preserved engine bay. The chassis is more of the same, with signs of proper maintenance and good care in a warm, dry climate. The wheels are period Keystones with gold inserts to match the decals and wear fat 245/60/15 Goodyear radials, with the original \"snowflake\" alloys included with the car. If you\'re a smart buyer, you\'ve undoubtedly already noticed that these cars are red hot right now, and this one comes with a ton of receipts and other documentation. Forget what you remember about the \'70s and enjoy the reality-these are awesome cars that are simply a blast to drive. Call now! This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom. Legends are earned the hard way, and not every car with a big engine from the muscle car era qualifies. But one special car that can do it %26acirc;?\" and do it all day long - carries the intimidating name of \'The Judge\'. Pontiac\'s top GTO, The Judge was everything that was great about muscle cars, all rolled up into the most outrageous wrapper you can imagine. So when you see this Canadian-built 1970 GTO Judge, complete with its numbers-matching powertrain and a top-flight restoration, remember that you\'re in the presence of greatness. Were there any differences between Canadian and US-built Judges? Well, not really. Same great shape, complete with the Endura front bumper splitting the grilles, same outrageous colors and graphics, and the same dedication to performance. So the main difference in owning a Canadian built model like this one is that you\'re owning something even that much more rare. The exhaustive and thorough restoration was completed just a few years ago, but don\'t be surprised if you were to look at it and think it just rolled off the assembly line yesterday. The paint is a very accurate re-creation of the factory Pepper Green, and bearing in mind that this was 1970, it was a very popular choice. The finish work on this restoration is exemplary, done to a very high standard as you\'d expect in a car of this pedigree. It also carries a correct Ram Air III hood, a rear wing, and beautiful reproduction Judge decals, including the brash fender flare accents and stylized \"The Judge\" emblems. Finish quality is impressive, with a great shine to the paint, sharp steel creases, nice panel alignment, and a high-quality overall look that suggests the guys putting it together knew it was, well, a legend. They did the chrome, too, so the rear bumper sparkles, the stainless trim glitters, and it\'s all very impressive in person. Given the theme here, it only seems fitting that Legendary supplied the interior of this GTO. That means exact reproduction seat covers, correct door panels, and properly woven carpets that replicate the originals quite nicely. The color is rather unusual but also very appropriate in the green Judge, and with a few upscale accents, Pontiac was able to position the Judge not as a price-leader as originally intended (it was to be a Super Bee competitor), but rather as the top-of-the-line from GM\'s performance division. The woodgrained dash features a full array of instruments, including a tachometer, although it also includes the usual trio of aftermarket dials down low. The center console is simple and houses a Hurst T-handle shifter for the 4-speed gearbox. An original AM radio remains in the dash, one of the car\'s few options, and the trunk is correctly outfitted with a full-sized spare and jack assembly. Pontiac\'s legendary 400 cubic inch V8 provides motive power, and this is indeed the car\'s original, numbers-matching powerplant. Topped by a Holley carb underneath that Ram Air intake system, it barks to life easily and rumbles menacingly through a pair of Flowmasters. Proper chrome valve covers and Pontiac Turquoise paint keep the engine compartment looking quite stock, and there are new components everywhere you look, from the alternator to the brake booster. Long-tube headers bolster low-end torque and a the aforementioned 4-speed gearbox powers 3.55 gears, so it\'s equally happy on the street or the highway. Handsome Pontiac Rallye II wheels are fitted and wear period-correct G70-14 Goodyear redline tires that emphasize just how correct this car is. Documented with a build sheet and other PHS papers, this is an investment-grade Judge from our friends north of the border. And it is, of course, legendary. Call today!
