For sale is my 1955 Packard Patrician 4 Door Sedan with only 58,000 miles on it, 8 cylinder engine, weighs 4,275 pounds. Transferable registration is clear and in my name. Have owned it for 10 years, bought it with 52K+ miles on it from my father's gas station partner. He had it garaged with his 20+ car collection for 15 years, believe he was only the 3rd owner at that point. Since purchase I have installed seat belts so I could ride with my kids, and replaced the exhaust. Everything else on it is the same as when I purchased it. Still runs great, starts right up and handles smoothly. Perfect car for a restoration project, or to own and drive as is. Car has power windows, power brakes, power steering, power antenna, power leveling system. Pretty modern for a 60 year old car. Additional photos (54 total) are available at http://s725.photobucket.com/user/smcci77/library/Packard?sort=9&page=1 Also took a video while driving it a while ago. My apologies for the quality of the video, hard to hold a camera in one hand and put the car in gear and drive with the other, but video does show how the car starts up and rides smoothly. http://youtu.be/UUhZQY8kDSI Car still starts up right away and drives well, will take another video and upload shortly. Very little rust on car besides floor board and front bumper. Even the tail pipe section under back taillights is in good shape, that area is known to be a problem spot but not on this car. Car came with a self leveling suspension which was a big deal in 1955. Previous owner installed a lever under the steering wheel to control leveling manually instead of original automated system. Helps to lower and raise the back of the car if you have more or less passengers for a smoother ride. What needs to be fixed to drive right away? For me nothing as I'm used to driving it as is and it starts up right away and drives well, but I'd suggest replacing the brake booster if nothing else. Saw the part in Hemmings for $250 a little while ago. Worth adding for better braking as you get used to the car. If you are buying the car and planning to do a full restoration, and this is a perfect car for that, you'll need a new vinyl dash, headliner, right window pane (line crack as seen in pix), new carpet, new antenna, fix power window on driver side (believe it is missing one link), snags at 80% up, but closes 100% with a little help past that one spot, patch seat or new upholstery as driver seat has a worn area, fix the gear selector (car shifts in and out of gears fine, selector on dash doesn't line up with gear. Mechanic believes a piece broke off in selector, but I never bothered to have it taken apart and adjusted.), fix windshield wiper fluid system (works on vacuum power, previous owner disconnected), new paint job and tires. Serious buyers and offers only please. A non-refundable $500 paypal deposit is required at time of sale, balance due within 10 days of sale. Balance payable by money order, certified check or cash in person. If you live near Smithtown, NY, contact me and I'll take you for a test drive.

I am selling My Packard Patrician. I have talked to many packard enthusiasts, Club members and even museums. And I am told that it is in fact the ONLY patrician with a manual transmission, And the ONLY one that runs on propane. The only other Packard in the world to run on propane is the first Carribean ever made. So this is literally the ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD. So, For $7,000 you can own this beauty. It has a sun beam propane kit on it, Dealer installed when new. This car was owned by the owner of a packard dealership. He drove the car as his personal car for years and owned it until 2010. He kept a meticulous amount of paperwork and reciepts and records for the car. He also has a few letters and even a dyno sheet of a secret motor that packard was developing in 1953 that was 852 cubic inches. I have all of this. The car runs great on Propane as well as gasoline. All at the flip of a switch. The self leveling torsion bar suspension works great, or you can turn the self leveling part off and lower the car to where you like. I tend to lower it as low as it goes and drive around. The power windows work great, the power seat works, as well as the power antenna. The only thing that doesnt work on the car is the radio. It lights up but the tubes are bad. Typical older radio. The transmission shifts fine, just like it should. I have not drove the car but a few miles because of the original dry rotted tires. I have extra drums and shoes for it. It is an amazing machine and EXTREMELY RARE as its the only one in the world. So Please, come take a look at it and take it home! You wont regret it. If you have any questions you can call or text 7404758964. I will gladly answer any questions you have about it.

My son is now 21 and drives the Camaro you'll see quickly in the video, when he and I take joy rides these days it's either in his car, my Charger or our boat. Unfortunately that leaves the Packard sitting idly by, just don't have time to use it frequently enough and it should be owned by someone who has the time to enjoy it like we used to. Car has power windows and power brakes, pretty modern for a near 60 year old car. Took pictures of it on 10/19/14 which are shown and additional photos are available at http://s725.photobucket.com/user/smcci77/library/Packard?sort=9&page=1 , also took a video while driving it after that. My apologies for the quality of the video, hard to hold a camera in one hand and put the car in gear and drive with the other, but video does show how the car starts up and rides smoothly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUhZQY8kDSI&feature=youtu.be Serious buyers and offers only please. You are bidding on my 1955 Packard Patrician. The car was purchased in 1996 out of Columbus Ohio. It came equipped with a 352 4bbl V-8. The car was mechanically sound as the original owner went thru all the mechanics. The body was another story. A new set of rocker panels was obtained from Mike Dulinski(most Packard people know him). The restoration shop grafted those in and the rest of the body work which was minimal was done. Four new doors were installed to get electric windows. The transmission is tight and works fine WW Tires are new Bumpers front and rear have been chromed as well as the Dagmars and the exhaust extensions. Paint has been professionally done in Black. Brakes are all new. Interior is all done in Black and Red in the Packard 400 style along with new carpet The torsion level system works good. I took the liberty of painting the Reynolds wrap with red instead of the proper black and chrome. I have had some road time with the car but due to being unemployed and out of work the car has sat for a while. I start it up regularly to keep it from deteriorating, but it needs a new home so here is a chance to get a great car for a relatively inexpensive price. I was planning on having some fun with the car out on the local show circuit, but the economy being what it is, there will be no chance of that. The car needs to SELL, that’s SELL not give or donate. I f you wish additional pictures, both finished or during restoration, e-mailme and I will provide
