I'm offering my 1958 MGA for sale. It is black with a red interior. The car was restored prior to my purchase in 2008. This sexy classic starts fast and runs great! Overall, this English Roadster is in fine shape and is an excellent driver. It has the original 1500 CC engine with just over 64,000 miles. The frame is straight and the car has no rust. The interior is in very good condition featuring a wooden dash. All the lights and gages are in working condition. The suspension, brakes and transmission are also in fine condition. The tires have less than 3,000 miles and look great on the knock-off wire rims. The car has been well maintained and cared for over the years. The car comes with a new top, however it was never installed, as I only drive it on sunny days :) Please feel free to call me directly or email me with any questions. My cell is 773-960-5336. My email is [email protected]. Thanks for your interest. Thank you.

Pictures taken with cell phone On May-09-15 at 14:00:33 PDT, seller added the following information: California Car Len, This is my father-in-laws (Gary) car, he bought it from the original owner, a Madera, Ca resident. The car was bought for the daughter of a local resident when the daughter was in high school, driven for some years and then parked in a barn until Gary purchased it. At time of purchase the speedo had 68K on it, and didn’t work, original owner said she hadn't driven it long after the speedo stopped. Gary, purchased it, drove it very occasionally, only local in the small town of Madera, maybe once a month and then parked it in his garage for several years, just didn't have time to mess with starting it and getting it out, it was parked sideways in the garage. In 2009 he trailered it to British Steel in Fresno, CA to have it restored, not frame off but very through. They replaced everything that needed replacing including the hubs and wheels. I am not sure how they prepped the body for paint but am pretty sure it was taken to bare metal, the car had a blue Earl Shibe paint job over the original red. The dash was still red when Gary purchased it, it was a darker red, the color on it now is Miata Red, Gary is partial to red cars. Since the restore, the car has been driven very little, once a month maybe, then recent less than that due to health reasons. The engine is the original and doesn’t smoke. I would like to say a couple of things about who I am. I am helping Gary sell this, he is 83 years old and barely does email. I am very involved with this family and the restoration of this car, I had and recently sold a 1967 custom mustang and had a career as an aircraft mechanic. I tell you this to give myself credibility. This is a beautiful car. Gary spent $23000 at British Steel and we have in invoices to prove it. Tom

This is my 1962 MGA MKII that has been torn down and the restoration process started. This is originally red with black interior (highly desirable combination). At some point someone painted it blue. I have too many projects going on now, so I'm looking to sell this rare gem. The car comes with all of the items pictured as well as some additional parts, many are new from Moss. I have a clean title from Virginia in my name, ready to hand over to the new owner. What you need to know:Orginial 1622 motor - stamped and seen in the picture.Rare cylinder head - stamped with "16" which is the correct head for this motor.Plates - plates are correct for this motorCyliners - new heads, never fired in motorCrank shaft - "BA38AX" - correct for 1622Motor caps - all 3 caps, not from this motor and will need to be machined but you'd have to do this anywayTransmission included Work underway/new:All new rails for the floor pans (which are wood, don't have but can get at Moss)New rockersNew seal platesNew tonneau studsNew window bracesNew cockpit wood and hardware (over $400)New cockpit aluminum corner railsRepaired fenders New front and rear fender bolt kitsNew bumpersWhats needed:Body has surface rust. You can see where I sanded down to make repairs that the metal is still strong and good. A sand blast or sanding is all that is neededFinalizing the alignment of fendersRestore suspension systemsMotor to be rebuilt, all of the critical 1622 motor pieces are herePlease reach out to me if you have questions. I know what this car is worth and the potential here, easily a $35k+ car when you are done! Car is being listed locally, and I reserve the right to end this posting at any time. Car is available to be seen locally. I expect you will come and pick up the car and the parts in person. Other arrangements can be made but at your expense. I require $1500 down as a non-refundable deposit, with full payment made within 7 days of purchase and prior to handing the car over to you. Again, let me know if you have any questions.
