VIN: GT242321959 MG MGA COUPE STREET ROD for sale. Motorcar Classics presents this ultimate British-American hybrid Street Rod. The car is featured in Maroon with Red interior and Black vinyl roof. The basis of this car was a 1959 MGA fixed-head coupe that had been damaged in the front end. It was professionally built by substituting a custom front end from the firewall forward. The engine is a real Ford 428 Cobra Super Jet V8 with Tri-Power carburetion. The motor was built by Richie Zul (W. Babylon, NY) who is known for high performance engines. The transmission is a Ford C6 3-speed automatic. It runs a 3.83 Ford rear with drum brakes and Hoosier tires all around. The custom racing headers have block-off plates to run the exhaust through the rear for street use. Or the exhaust can be opened up for maximum noise and power. There are only about 60 miles on the car since it was built. The engine is estimated to be putting out about 600 HP! With a curb weight of just 2,200 lbs., this car is FAST!. Astute Ford performance enthusiasts will see that the real value here is the motor, which would be difficult to duplicate for the price of this entire car. So if you are a builder you can imagine putting this motor into a Mustang, or into a wide variety of other projects where it would be a huge asset. There is lots of fun and lots of value here for a very low price. QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS PLEASE CALL OR TEXT CRAIG 516-885-9356

farm fresh 1957 mg mga roadster the engine , body and transmission are numbers matching but the car is in rough rough shape it is basically a parts car PLEASE READ WHOLE POST I am relisting this due to buyer not contacting me back I will try to paint a perfect picture of what you are looking at but feel free to email or call me with questions , the mga was just taken out of a barn on the east end of long island when I purchased the mga I was in pieces and for all intensive purposes it is still in pieces , the front end of the car was still together but the rear clip was completely off the frame what you are looking at in the pictures is the entire car put together temporarily , the rear clip is just laying on the frame and the fenders are being held on with one hanger bolt , when the car is purchased all the parts you are looking at basically will lift off the rear of the car ,I temporarily put the parts on so everyone can see that I have basically the whole car here , now the good most parts are intact and seam to be in pretty good condition for a old car the engine turns over the rear end spins freely the transmission seams to go through the gears , the shocks seem to work the dash is pretty solid tires and wheels look good , the front clip of car looks great and I think I have about 90% of the car , now the bad the car has been sitting for 30 plus years and needs a complete restoration the floors are gone and the frame rails under the rocker panels have a lot of rust and rot . I am not a mechanic nor a body man I just like to tinker with old cars and I happen to be lucky enough to stumble on to this gem , the vin# is bp15gb 19711 I think from research it is a 1957 that is supposed to be white and built for export to the states , the car will need to be towed and I will not ship it , I also will not give the car away I think there are to many valuable rare parts to let it go for the wrong number so please do not low ball me , my c-e-ll # is 63one --96five-six015 text me a question , I have tried to describe the car to the best of my ability and I will be selling it locally so I reserve the right to end listing at any point car is being sold as is with a bill of sale thanks fro looking and good luck

I am selling my 1962 MGA Roadster. The car is black with a red interior and white top. The MG starts easy, runs and drives well. It has an early 1800 engine which is a common upgrade on the As. The 1800 improves driveability and it has no problem keeping up with modern traffic on highways. The engine is strong and smooth, it starts immediately, maintains good oil pressure (60 psi), and always stays cool. The transmission shifts nicely and precisely through all gears. The car was repainted in the mid 1980s and has been garage kept. The body is rust free and although the paint job is older, it has a good shine. The chrome front bumper could use re-plating. The bonnet/doors open/close easily and fit tight and the underneath is solid and clean. The interior and seats are in good shape and free of any rips or tears. It also has a classic Moto-Lita steering wheel with a beautiful riveted wood finish. The gauges, lights, etc all function properly. The soft-top and frame are in good condition. Potential buyers are welcome to inspect the car at my house. My cell phone is 845-558-5270.

1961 MGA MK I Roadster – 48K original documented miles with original tool kit Up for auction is my 1961 MGA MKI roadster (chassis # GHNL-87890). This beautiful Iris Blue car was built in July/August of 1960 and is a matching numbers car with its original 1588cc MGA engine (16GA- U-18751) and 4 speed gear box. It was painted once in its lifetime many years ago in its original factory color of Iris Blue. It comes with its original tool kit (very rare and expensive), convertible top, side curtains, spare wheel, jack, starter crank, manuals and documentation for the past 30 years. Odometer reads 48,501 original miles and is believed to be authentic and accurate. I purchased this car from the second owner who owned it for almost 25 years who bought it with only 33K miles. It’s a North Carolina car from new with no rust or accident damage. This MGA is registered with NAMGAR (#7406). It runs and drives excellent and is an honest, unrestored and unmolested MGA. This car was maintained, garaged and well cared for by its previous owners and never rusted or repaired. This car is registered with vintage New York plates from 1961. Mechanicals: The MGA is currently registered in New York State, Insured and has been safety inspected. It sits garaged in Huntington, New York (Long Island). Turn the key, hear the fuel pump tick, pull the choke out three clicks the engine starts right up every time. Engine idles at 800 and is as smooth running as a sewing machine. It runs very strong and does not smoke or have any oil leaks to speak of. Once the engine warms up after a minute, you push in the choke and off you go. Engine acceleration is smooth and sounds great. Carbs were tuned and set up spec on along with a valve adjustment and timing several months ago. It has a nice crisp exhaust note through its new stainless steel exhaust system. Oil pressure is strong at 75+ psi and revs quickly to 6000 rpms without any hesitation at all. I have owned many MGA’s in my time and this car is one the smoothest and best running and driving cars of them all. Steering is nice and tight and shocks are firm. Gear box is quiet and pulls well in all 4 gears without any grinds, noises or hesitation. The clutch is perfectly aligned, light and a pleasure to shift up and down through all the gears. You can literally drive it 60-80 mph all day long. The following are new parts/services: New Blue Loop carpet set New Gas Tank New Fuel pumpRebuilt Master Cylinder (Clutch and Brake)New Interstate battery New tune up parts (wires, cap, rotor, points, condenser, plugs)Rebuilt carbs, tuned and balancedValve adjustment and timing set New gas and air filtersRadiator flushed and paintedRebuilt generatorNew hosesNew Stainless Steel Exhaust systemNew rear chrome bumperNew ARMCO Wind WingsAmber turn signals (front and rear)New H-4 Halogen headlights 55Watts New Chrome Hub Caps The brake system is very good and the car stops quickly and in a straight line with no fade or pulling to either side. Sometimes the right rear wheel locks up in heavy braking but that can be adjusted. It has factory front wheel disc brakes and rear drum brakes. Pads and shoes are all in good condition. Radiator and engine has been flushed and all hoses replaced. Engine runs cool with no overheating at all. Charging system works as it should. All gauges and lights work perfectly. I have driven this car on 100 mile daily trips with confidence. It literally needs nothing and can be driven anywhere. Body: Body is straight as an arrow and accident free. The car was painted sometime in its long history in its original color of Iris Blue. Paint is presentable but has some scratches, touch ups and imperfections. All body panels fit well with excellent door gaps. Fenders, doors, inner and outer sills are original panels. There is absolutely no discernable body filler or rust that I can see on the fenders, rocker panels or dog legs. Wooden floors are in fair condition but firm. The frame is perfect and rust free. No patches or evidence of rust anywhere. Front windshield glass and chrome metal frame is perfect with no scratches, cracks or chips. That is the telltale sign that this is a low mileage car. Luggage rack seems to be an aftermarket period item. Interior: The dash is 100% original with working gauges, buttons and knobs. Blue Loop Carpets is newly installed and looks incredible. Seats are covered in Black leather. Door panels are original and in nice condition. Original banjo steering wheel comes with the car (Moto-Lita wheel does not come with the car, It belongs to a friend of mine and I eventually need to give it back to him someday). Door caps and cockpit rails are in leather and all in nice condition with a nice tight fit. Closing: This is a 54 year old car so it is sold “AS IS” with no expressed or implied warrantee or guarantees. I am not a broker or a dealer so this is a private sale that is final. It is sold “WHERE IS” in Huntington, New York and if transported will be the cost of the buyer. I have set a reasonable reserve on the car. Hagerty Insurance Co has an agreed upon value on this MGA of $28,000. Low mileage MGA’s are getting harder and harder to find in unmolested and unrestored condition. These cars are getting very sought after by collectors and car enthusiasts and are appreciating rapidly for good quality cars. I have a current valid transferrable New York state registration. The state of New York does not issues titles on cars built prior to 1972. If you are a serious buyer and have any questions or need any detailed photos please call or text me at 631-339-3349 or contact me through E-Bay email by asking me a question. I will sell to Europe/ worldwide and to anyone who appreciates this low mileage 1961 MGA MKI. I have the right to end this auction early since I will advertise on other venues. I will request a $500 deposit within 48 hours and the balance shortly thereafter. I will hold the car for you until payment and transportation has been made. Regrettably the payment of two college tuitions this fall forces sale. Thanks for your interest. Dave.

A new era sports car for its day, it was extremely stylish and an instant hit, selling more than 13,000 units in its first year of production. The MGA was a true 100+ mph sport car, this particular MGA with its period supercharger is even more. This MGA was acquired in 2009 after sitting for more than 20 years by its most recent owner. It then embarked on a complete and thorough restoration with no stone unturned. The addition of a period supercharger was added to bring a reliable rise in both horsepower and torque figures. A 3.9:1 differential from a 1964 MGB handles power distribution. The braking comes from the MGA’s original front disc brakes and the addition of larger MGB rear drum brakes. The restoration is quite superb in every respect. The restoration cost of this MGA far exceeds the cost of replacement, you will not find a better example. An exceptional 1950’s sports car and one of the best driving, most reliable and fun sports cars of its period, this MGA is complete with its British Heritage Trust Certificate, original factory brochure, and copy of its owner’s and warranty manuals. This MGA is absolutely superb in every way. The MGA was in a completely different league to its predecessors. It is eligible for some of the finest historic rallies and comfortable both on the road as well as the concours lawn. Offered for a fraction of its restoration cost.If no longer covered under manufacturer warranty, the vehicle will be sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied.
