This is a 1963 Mercury Monterey with the electrically retractable rear Cruiser window. Mechanically this car is like new with over $10,000 spent in overhauling the engine, transmission and replacing power steering pump, alternator, fuel pump, A/C compressor and related parts, muffle & exhaust pipe and upgrading the cooling system with a larger radiator and the addition of an external thermostatically controlled electric fan. Also the front suspension has been repaired along with new brakes on all 4 wheels. Invoices are available to verify these expenditures. The total mileage on the car is slightly under 87,000. The exterior of the car is original with a few minor dents and scratches. The interior is original and should be upgraded as well. The car was purchased from the estate of the man who was doing the restoration.

Beautiful 1963 Mercury Monterey Coupe !!! Please go to classic cars.com and see lowest price for this car is $9800 and as high as 40,000. This car is close to finished but needs some work. All new brakes, tires, hubs, master cylinder, shocks, rebuilt carb, tune up, re-cored radiator, new metal bubble tank, etc. Engine runs strong and car is impossibly straight for age. Needs some gaskets replaced to prevent leaks, breezeway motor for rear window needs replacing (window is currently up in fixed position), front electric seat motor needs work (seat currently in fixed position), driver side window is cracked. These are not hard repairs especially if you are in the business. Paint is ok but with a few repairs and paint this car would be incredible. This was a one owner (my uncle) California car !! Original sales slip and handbook, also has original black and gold plates. Too many projects need to let one go or I would finish it. Have cruised PCH many times, this car is a head turner.

Selling a 1962 Mercury Monterey S55 Convertible. Car is Black but originally was a champagne colorHas the 390 V8Car Has A White Convertible Top. Not In Great Shape. Small Hole in Back and Rear Window Has Sun Fade.It is a true S55. Vin will verify it. I have a binder full of reciepts and the original California Plates For The Car. Black PlatesRuns and Drives. The Bad:Needs Floors. Interior is Rough. Tears in All The Seats but comes with NOS Seat covers in the box. Ready to put on.Carpet is Shot. Needs New Carpet. Bumpers and Chrome Are Decent But not Show Worthy. Stainless Trim In Decent Shape. Loose on Passenger Side of Car Trunk in decent Shape. Must have been repaired in the past. Does need body work in several places. Passenger Rear Quarter. Rocker Panels. A Few Spots Here and There. But Overall A Decent Driver Or Driving Project.
