1956 Mercury Monterey 2 dr hardtop, 312 V8, Arizona car since new. Clear AZ title in hand, has been in storage since 1980. 29,000 miles. A very nice original 2 dr hardtop. Rolls and steers for transportation. Car needs to be restored. The car does NOT run. Has a small rust hole by gas pedal on driver side from windshield leak. Truck floor and the rest of the floors are in excellent condition. spar tire well is excellent. Body supports underneath are excellent. Needs driver side window glass, front windshield has crack in it. This car is an excellent candidate to make a running and driving car with a great patina look. Sold as is. 1955 Mercury Montclair, 2 dr hardtop, rust free Arizona car since new, 79000. original miles this car has been in storage for many many years tucked away in a garage. Engine runs excellent, new fuel pump, new battery the gas tank has been cleaned. This car is an original blue and white car, it still has original interior which needs to be redone. Original Arizona chrome, chrome strips were removed many years ago buy the 85 year old owner who was to paint the car but never did so all the chrome is stored in the trunk (check Pictures ) The chrome needs new clips to be installed. The car has a 312 V8 4 barrel, power steering, power brakes. The tires are old and need to be replaced. The brake system needs to be refurbished. A really solid, original car, this Mercury came from the factory as a Carnival Red with Black interior car with a white top, the prior owner covered it with gray primer. The car still has it's original vinyl interior, though I'd recover it. The factory top is still on the car, and a BRAND NEW STILL IN THE BOX white top w/pads comes with the sale, and the black top boot is in the trunk I haven't found any rust on the car. the 390 2v runs out very well, though it could use a new doughnut on the right bank. Tires are fair, the power steering and power brakes work very well. All windows roll up and down, doors open and shut with ease. The car came to me missing most of it's trim, and I'm working with the prior owner to acquire it, though there aren't any promises being made. This is, and will be a very special car. Lots of Fords around (I'm also working on a '64 Galaxie convertible), yet how often to you come across a Mercury? I'd love to keep it, but I need to thin out the herd.On Oct-24-14 at 07:14:32 PDT, seller added the following information: I was asked about the car's running condition, and all I can say is that I've been using it everyday and I'm having a hell of a lot of fun! Typically, it does have a little "Ford morning sickness" which means that it needs a little tranny tune up. It hauls ass, it's loud, it's big, it's ballsy, and it's WAY different than anything else on the road. Maybe I should keep it and sell the XL convertible!
