The SL line has longevity; it is the second-longest series produced by M-B. It was code-named “R107? inside Mercedes during the production phase. Hello, you are viewing a 1980 450sl Mercedes with 60,860 one owner miles. This southern car has been garaged most of its life and it shows! This is the last year produced for the 450sl. This car is collector quality! This Mercedes is in Original, excellent condition, that is well maintained and not abused. The paint is a rare dark blue color that is in excellent condition, that has a great shine. It does have some chips and small imperfections being that it is 34 years old (over-all looks great). NO RUST!! The tan leather interior is in excellent condition (I just removed the front seat covers that protected the leather for most of its life). No rip, tears, or wear. The dash (no cracks), wood, door panels, headliner and carpet are also in excellent condition.. Mechanically the car is EXCELLENT!!!!!!! Runs, drives and shifts perfect with no warning lights on. (Just put new front brakes and sensors and replaced the window motor,spark plugs and wires). Everything works as it should. The heat blows hot and the air conditioner blows cold. Tires and wheels are in excellent condition. Drives very smooth and straight at a 80mph. I would not hesitate to drive this car on a 2000 mile road trip. The blue soft top is in very good condition, no rips or tears. The hardtop is in excellent condition (one small ding). Also included are 2 sets of keys, original spare, tools and jack. The car is sold in “As Is Condition”. I do welcome and encourage presale inspections.
