This is the last year for this very desirable model and they are disappearing quickly from the market. Post 1980 Mercedes brought over the 380sl, a model burdened with issues. Most collectors seek out these earlier 450s as they are reliable and perform much better. This car was last purchased in 2010 by a friend of mine. The car is finished in Signal Red and has Palimino interior. Previous to that the car was in the southeastern parts of the US. The car is powered by a 225hp 4.5L V8 engine mated to a 3 speed automatic transmission. The vehciles came standard with power windows, air conditioning, power steering and power brakes. The car has the factory hard top. The factory cloth soft top is in need of replacement but is operational. The seats are new as my friend had started to make some improvments to the vehicle. The car starts and runs as it should and has new exhaust. The tires are in good condition and the car has the original Mercedes alloy wheels.
