For sale is my 1999 Jaguar XJ8 Vanden Plas Supercharged V8. This is a very rare car, it has the luxury of a longwheel-base Vanden Plas and the power of an XJR. The price new at the dealer was close to $100K, that was the reason not too many people opted to order this top of the line-version and ordered an already luxurious base XJ8 or VDP instead. I bought this car in South Florida with the intention of keeping it in my garage as a weekend car and waiting as it eventually becomes an collectible classic one day. However, since a few things changed around me, this car is available for the next owner. Like already mentioned earlier, this is the ultimate edition of the XJ8 -305 Series. I'm not going to list all the options this particular Jaguar has, because it has EVERYTHING, what was available from the factory at this time. The car is in great, all original condition and was always kept in a garage. No rust, still has factory paint and never involved in any accidents (still has all the factory ID stickers in place) . The interior is super clean, leather is still soft and nice, the wood trim and dashboard are excellent. Everything works as it should, has ice-cold A/C. The tires, battery, fuel pump, filters, brakes and fluids have been changed recently. First owner kept the car in a climate-controlled garage of his vacation home in South Florida, thus the low mileage. There are No fluid/oil leaks of any kind. Although the car still looks stunning, it does have a few blemishes. Due to the fact that the car spend its whole life in Florida, the clear coat starts showing first light signs of aging in a few spots, mainly on the top, lids and fuel door. It only shows in direct sun light in the form of slight hazing at close up inspection, you have to look very hard and most people do not even notice it. I am very particular and therefore I feel I should address it. Besides of that, the car still has a nice glossy paint, looks excellent and turns heads everywhere I go.I provided plenty of pictures and invite anyone who want to come and see the car in person. Reluctantly offered for sale is this 1998 Jaguar Vanden Plas in excellent condition. This is the much beloved car of my 78 year old Mother, and it is only due to a recent sharp decrease in her mobility that the sad decision to sell it has been made. The car has been a 2nd car for her and even when she was able to fully use it, it was seldom driven, hence in part the low miles. We have all of the records from day one including the window sticker and all books on this car. It has never been in an accident or had anything other than normal wear and tear items replaced on it. It received a new $160 battery 3 months ago.Mechanically, it needs nothing. The car had one repaint int he correct, original color 2 years ago. It has seldom left the garage since. The interior is also in good shape, with the exception of the light wear on the drivers seatback to the leather as well as the center front armrest. The remainder of the interior shows very well and the lambswool rugs are present and in nice shape. These are often missing on these cars. Factory rims are currently on the car with Michelins that have 75% tread or more left. The sale will also include a set of Dayton Wire wheels with Goodyear Viva tires that have 80% tread left or more. They were intended to be placed on this car, but it just never happened. As such, I cannot guarantee fit, but they were purchased after research showed that they would. 2 of the Dayton spinners are missing. 2 sets of original keys and remotes. a very, very nice car that looks and drives as a vintage vanden plas should.Please ask any and all questions prior to submitting your bids.
