Selling because of health issues. Please Read: New fuel pump and fuel filter Driveable but ONLY front brakes work at the moment. All rear brake components were replaced. Last items that need to be installed is rear brake pads and crossover brake line, entire system bled. Deep scratch in driver side door. AC and heat are not working. It would not be true If I told my readers that I am offering for sale the most perfect and the cleanest Jaguar, since I tell things exactly as they are, or I don't say anything at all. I can proudly say that I owned several of the cleanest XJ models that were all in showroom to brand new condition. I sold them all to very happy buyers, which my feedback will show. Good evidence of my honest dealings and the quality of vehicles I had in my collection of Jaguars. This particular vehicle was purchased from The Toy Store, a dealership in Towson MD as a collectors condition vehicle with photo shopped photos and for a very high price. When the vehicle arrived It was clear that this was not a collectors vehicle and it would only make a good daily driver and that's only after I put in about $1200 on service and repairs. I knew at once that I would be reselling the vehicle and I made a choice to spend money on the mechanical and not the cosmetic. Rotors and brakes were all replaced and all original. The AC and heater system was repaired and filled. An oil change was given and some minor repairs were made. The vehicles paint has flaws. The passenger side paint is not in its best condition. Some imperfections there. The interior is in much better condition. Front seats show some normal wear, but the rear seats are like new. The headliner needs replacement. Carpets are perfect and wood is in very good condition on the dash but door panels show some cracks. The vehicle drives very nice. Has new Cooper tires and all 4 are matching tires. The vehicle has a minor oil leak and its obvious that its from the oil pan, since the top and the mid engine are clean. This vehicle can make a very nice daily driver and can be close to perfect with some little care. I paid too much for it and after for shipping it from MD and later alredy spending $1200 on it left me no more room or desire to continue spending. The new owner will benefit from all the funds I put in to its mechanical. I know I am at a loss already and want to simply recover some of my funds. This is my true honest story of this vehicle and nothing to hide. I simply want to recover my loses and everything known to me is in my description. Thank you for your time

Exceptional ride and interior. The leather is in great shape and the wood overall for the age is in very good condition with some cracks near the right side air vent. The paint, well it is 31 year old jaguar paint. Overall the paint is ok however the hood will need attention, please see the hood picture. No or very very small visible rust on all four window corners and other locations. The window corners are major rust areas on most cars I drive this car daily in the Atlanta area and it never misses a beat. Totally reliable. I recently drove the car to Sarasota and back - cruised at 80 all the way! Everything works and the car is very smooth and comfortable. I have had GA and FL plates on this car during the last 12 months - same owner saved sales tax. There are a lot of inexpensive jaguars out there that will cost you a lot of money after you buy them so beware when just looking at the purchase price. This car has had extensive work and is ready to be used on a daily basis or repaint the car and you will have an outstanding show car! If you are interested I would be happy to scan and send a copy of the work supporting the $14,200. Remember mechanically very strong, the interior is very good with great leather, however 31 year old jaguar paint. With the exception of the hood the paint looks fine from a few feet away. I have 4 older jags and three other cars and storage is getting very expensive so i am selling the car for that reason only.

Jaguar XJ6Series II1974 4.2 straight six sedan in spectacular condition & presentation This a really pretty XJ6 Jaguar sedan out-fitted in Sable (which I affectionately like to call "UPS brown"!) with honey tan leather interior. The overall combination presents very elegantly indeed. This particular Jaguar was delivered new in California where it resided for about half its life, then about 10 years in Texas and the last remaining years in Seattle with a senior British car enthusiast. As a result, she is completely "dry" without even a spec of rust or scale. Her condition is quite amazing. The body on this car is very straight and never been in any accident. Looking under the hood and trunk is very evident of its originality. Its hard to tell with the exterior paint but it too appears to be mostly original and, if not, only subject to small touch-ups. There are marks & chips here and there from normal use and you can see in certain light evidence of 70s style adhesive side mouldings having been removed on the doors. Otherwise, the paint is consistent and lustrous. There is no fading or major blemishes. There are no signs of rust at the typical places below the front and rear windows. The underside is clean and dry. The interior of the car is in fantastic condition with excellent Connolly hide leather upholstery finished in the Biscuit tan which is perhaps better described as a "warm ochre" colour. The leather is in outstanding condition with just the right amount of patina giving the car a very nice classic look. The headrests are firmly padded and the back of the front seats were refinished in correct matching fabric as per factory specifications. All the wood on the dash is in superb condition. The wood lacquer is in a satin finish, without any lifting and the wood presents beautifully. Compared to the average example it way exceeds and I would rate it 10 out of 10. There is no typical sagging in the headlining. It appears to have been replaced at some stage. The carpet is in excellent shape and is the original fitment. The satin finish of the light mahogany wood in this example blends beautifully with the tan hides – making the interior of this car very rich and inviting. All interior chrome finishes are nice. Overall she looks wonderful with a great British classic look. Interior features and functions are operational including electrics – windows, gauges, lights etc. The A/C needs recommissioning . Everything is generally very clean and crisp. The chrome, stainless steel and bright work finishes are all good without any pitting and the rubber around the car is fine. Especially the US spec bumpers which are normally all sun beaten and damaged. Mechanically, the car is good condition and the spectacularly clean and original presentation under the bonnet clearly shows that. Exhaust is good with the correct looking exhaust tips fitted. Recent work included a rebuild of the head after an identified head gasket leak (cost: $3,000). The car is fitted with a set of period correct looking Firestone 215/70-15 whitewall tires. These are brand new with 100% tread. This is a Jaguar that appears to be free of their usual nuances and typical issues of its age. The 91,500 miles is not verifiable but everything about the car certainly supports it and, in fact, presents as a much lower mileage example. This is a 9 out of 10 driver example that would make for a gorgeous “weekender” - one that you could take to your next Jaguar meet with pride and joy. You would find it hard pressed to find another in equivalent condition. Mechanically in excellent condition, interior completely redone. Just needs a paint job to finish it off. I have over $20k invested in this XJ6 and I know I can't expect to get that for it, so if you are looking for an 87 XJ6 (the most desirable year) please consider this car. When I purchased this car about 7 years ago, I got all the mechanicals in order. All of the work from the day I bought has been done by a Jaguar Specialist. I have all the receipts, please ask if you want me to send photos of the invoices. First was a total top of the engine rebuild, everything that needed replaced was (over $4100) Next was the suspension and brakes, everything new all around ($6400). New tires and spoked rims (rims were $2k). Then on to the interior, carpet is original, I purchased NOS front seat bottoms to replace the worn ones. Then I redyed the entire interior in the original color. New seude headliner. All new wood from CG Woodcraft in England. They reproduce real book matched burl wood replacements. Everything I could get wood for I did. Also got the wood steering wheel from them (about $1500 spent on wood). Now to the final item, the paint. It needs a paint job. That was next on my list to finish the car off. Unfortunately I need to sell it, I relocated and no longer have the storage space to keep it.
