Original - Code Correct - Thunderbird Coupe 2-door Hardtop. Very Clean. No Rust. No bondo. No collisions, Runs smooth and strong. No smoke - Does not burn oil. Clean title - No negative VIN - Title / Registration report entries. Current VIN - Title / Registration Report is available. Email me for a link to see it. Auto Check (EBay's Vehicle History Report provider) will not supply reports on vehicles manufactured prior to 1981, and they will not allow me to provide a link to a vehicle history report for this vehicle here. The report confirms what I've stated here. This vehicle has never been in a collision or had any other negative VIN entries placed against it. I had the original transmission professionally rebuilt 3,000 miles ago. Trans works perfectly and I fixed the gear shift linkage / sag issue, which is common to these classic Fords. The Original 390 FE, 4V, runs strong, smooth, and quiet like it should. No smoke and does not burn oil. I have replaced a number of the old gaskets, and seals to stop leaks, etc.. Everything under the hood is original or replaced with code correct Ford parts. In November 2016 the Brake Vacuum Booster failed. The Braking system was then rebuilt, including a complete system flush, new Master Cylinder and Brake Vacuum Booster, etc... The emergency brake vacuum release also works as designed. New tires and new rear shocks were added in December 2016.. The Original Power steering pump was professionally rebuilt and reinstalled this past January (2017) because of leaking pump seals. The P/S pump lines were replaced as well because we were there and easier to do at the same time. The Original radiator has been replaced with a new high flow aluminum radiator. The original expansion tank is in place and does not leak. I also installed a new water pump, thermostat and radiator hoses. There are no cooling system leaks and she runs at normal temps in City and on Hwy. All exterior and interior lights, as well as all gauges, speedometer, vents, heat / defrost / fan controls, rear vent, and dash clock (sometimes), work. The original radio is in place and works. The primary sound system is a Kenwood Bluetooth / Aux / etc./ remote controlled stereo, which is installed under the drivers seat. It has a great sound. All windows in the car work smoothly, except passenger side wing window. It won't open. The trunk is clean. Has code correct spare tire and the original jack / lug wrench from 1966 is still mounted in the trunk. The interior is very nice. The door panels and front seats show normal wear for a 51 year old automobile. Drivers side door panel has a small tear at the arm rest, which is covered with red plastic tape (see photos). There is a very slight indentation on the exterior passenger door. The indention is slight and hard to see. I tried to photograph it - see right side passenger door photos - center door, below the center body line. The rear taillight housing gaskets leaked this past winter while being driven back to TX. from KY; Therefore, this past January (2017) the old gaskets were replaced with NOS Ford gaskets, the drivers side lens was replaced (due to a crack) and all 11 (9 taillight/turn and 2 reverse light) bulbs were replaced. They all work. WHAT IT NEEDS: Dash clock works but stops after a minute or so. The clock needs to be removed / cleaned / reinstalled. Front seats could use new foam and minor TLC. Rear seat is solid and like new. The heater core was bypassed by the previous owner. I assume it leaks - I never checked to confirm. The remainder of the heat system controls (front and rear vents, fan, defrost, heat/cold, etc..) all work normally. The sequential turn signals work but are temperamental. They blink, but not always sequentially. Hood signal indicators work as designed as do the lower cowl lights. Still has original electro-mechanical switch, which works; however, the contacts need to be serviced / cleaned, or the original unit replaced with a new electronic control unit. The original electro-mechanical switches are no longer available. Original switch is serviceable / repairable if you want to keep the car "all original." The radio antenna cable is not connected. With the Kenwood Bluetooth / Aux etc...access stereo in place it did not seem necessary. Stereo has great sound. The original radio is also connected to the speaker system. I bought this classic T-Bird, from the prior owner out of Nevada, as a graduation gift for my son. You will see the prior Nevada registration in the VIN History Report. I did, or had done, all the work necessary to make this classic a safe and reliable daily driver for him and it has proven to be a great reliable / dependable vehicle. He has since joined the Army and needs a more economical vehicle. In addition, he has no garage available to him,and we do not want the T-Bird sitting unprotected while he is deployed; Therefore, we are selling it - hence the last long trip she made back to Texas from Fort Campbell, Kentucky this past Christmas when he came home on leave. She's a reliable daily driver or she could be a classic show car. She has a fresh tune up and oil change. This T-Bird is structurally and mechanically sound! I purchased this sweet Thunderbird almost three years ago from the original 91 year old owner in California. It then had only 50K miles on it since the owner was unable to drive it much in recent years. He had never taken the hardtop off since new, thus the convertible top was never up, and the top is in like new condition. After purchasing the car I drove it home to Texas via Route 66, had a great trip! I have most of his maintenance records since new, and mine as well. New Michelin tires were put on it upon arrival home. Recently it had a complete tune-up and continues to run and drive great. The 4-wheel disc brakes and rotors were also replaced. The car has been serviced regularly since I have owned it, and is in great general condition. Standard equipment on the car includes 3.9 liter V-8; Power top, windows, locks, seats, steering, and brakes; Air conditioning; cruise; tilt wheel; 6-disc AM/FM CD stereo, more.I am convinced one can have many more trouble free miles with the car, however it is being sold as is, where is, and no warranty is given or implied.

Thank you for looking at my 1956 Ford Thunderbird. Very good older restoration. Factory hardtop with portholes. Radial wide whitewall tires. Continental kit. Electronic ignition. Modern sound system installed...can be easily removed, if desired. Clear title, current Texas antique vehicle license plate expires March 2018. Runs very well. Fun to drive. 312 V-8 engine and automatic transmission. Paint and chrome and interior (seats and carpet) are in good condition. Headliner in hardtop has minor wear and tear. 12 volt electrical system. Horn and lights work fine. All plastic and lenses and glass are fine. Gauges are all working. We're seeing a lot of interest in unique ones like this 2005 Thunderbird that offer a wonderful color combination that's not the usual yellow or red. And with just 30,628 original miles, it's exactly the kind of gently-used car that makes the best future collectable: one that you can enjoy as it appreciates. The color is called Medium Steel Blue, which isn't a very interesting name for such a dramatic color. Perhaps it's because we're so used to seeing brightly-colored T-Birds, but this one has presence. The finish is still deep and shiny, and like many of its siblings, this car has never been used in the daily grind. Instead, it has been a fair-weather friend since day one, and for that reason, the finish looks incredible. Only 1463 Thunderbirds were built in this color, making it one of the less-common choices and it was only available in 2005, the Thunderbird's 50th anniversary. Body gaps are as the factory set them, the nose is in excellent shape with only very minor signs of age and use, and the chrome details still sparkle, making this convertible look very sophisticated overall. We've sold a lot of these cars, but we can't remember many that had so many people stopping for a second look here in the showroom. The interior is equally subtle but just as attractive, with black leather seats with steel blue inserts just for a splash of color; the Thunderbird was nothing if not stylish. There are some very, very minor signs of use, of course, but overall this is a very well-preserved ragtop. The two-tone leather steering wheel shows the most wear, but it, too, is quite minor, indicative of the car's overall condition and level of care. Crisp, white-faced gauges contrast brilliantly with the rest of the dark interior and just about every feature you can imagine was standard, from automatic climate control to a list of power assists. There's a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo system that sounds great even at speed with the top down and this particular Thunderbird offers heated seats, which extend the top-down season just a bit. The power convertible top is color-matched to the bodywork, as is the removable porthole hardtop that looks great with its tinted windows. And as you'd expect, the trunk is in as-new condition. Ford's 3.9 liter DOHC V8 wasn't a tire-shredding monster, but it worked just the way it was supposed to: quite, confident power under all conditions. The last decade has proven that it's quite reliable and with so few miles, this one is only just now getting broken-in. I'm sure there are modifications for these cars, but the best ones are just the way the factory made them, right down to the original air silencer and V8 engine cover that make everything look tidy under the hood. A 5-speed automatic transmission was the only choice in the Thunderbird and it's linked to an all-independent suspension that does a great job of balancing sporty handling with a comfortable ride. A muted dual exhaust system gives it a nice V8 burble that never gets rowdy and 4-wheel disc brakes are exceptionally powerful, particular on a car that never gets pushed to its limits. Bright chrome wheels have a familiar look but no curb rash or peeling, and carry 235/50/17 Michelin radials. Documented with a lot of original paperwork, manuals, and receipts, this is the late-model Thunderbird that everyone would like to take home. And for the moment, it's quite reasonably priced.
