65 Ford Galaxie 2dr Hardtop About the Car. I bought this car as an average runner/driver for around 3500 dollars. I have done a lot of work to the car and spent an enormous amount of time and money. It has been a complete frame off restoration. As you can see from the pictures it has not been completed. It needs paint and reassembly. I have all the parts and pieces to finish the restoration and they go with the car if it sells. So if you are looking at the pics and thinking it is a hunk of junk, it is not true. Almost all of the time consuming and expensive parts of the full restoration have been completed. The metal work and body work have been completed, it basically needs some sanding and paint. The interior is complete it does still need to be installed. I have a lot in this build and probably can't list everything but here are some details. 390 cid V8 rebuilt engine with no miles on the rebuild, has an upgraded cam, 4 barrel carb w/aluminum intake, 4 speed transmission, posi rear end w 370 gears, front suspension has been rebuilt, undercarriage has been redone, front has disc brakes and rear is drum brakes, has new 17" tires and wheels, has the factory ac that works, upholstery is new, carpet new, dash pad new, headliner new, has two hoods that go with it a thunderbolt style hood, and a Torino style hood. I put 10,000.00 on the price, this is negotiable. I realize I'm not going to get back what I've put into it and I realize 10k is a higher starting price. I am willing to negotiate but the car isn't going for what you would pay for it if all this hadn't already been done to it. Please call if you are interested (817) 269-6071. I do not text and my son is running this add for me, so email responses will be slow to respond and if you really aren't interested I don't want to just run endless errands. Thanks and happy car hunting.

63 1/2 Ford Galaxie 2dr Fastback About the Car. This is one of my favorite cars. I bought this car as an average runner/driver for around 3500 dollars. I have done a lot of work to the car and spent an enormous amount of time and money. It has been a complete frame off restoration. As you can see from the pictures it has not been completed. It needs paint, upholstery, and reassembly. I have all the parts and pieces to finish the restoration and they go with the car if it sells. The metal work and body work have been completed, it basically needs some sanding and paint. The interior for this project is not complete, I have the interior parts that came with the car when I bought it but I have not had them re-upholstered. That being said, I have a lot in this build and probably can't list everything but here are some details. The frame has been painted and undercarriage complete, whole car has been sand blasted, body work done and is in an epoxy primer. It has a completely rebuilt 406 cid V8 engine with no miles on the rebuild (it is still on the engine stand), Tri power 4 speed car. It has the factory cast iron headers, solid lifter engine, fast back body style looks marvelous (great car for a ford/nascar enthusiast). Has 17" wheels and tires that are seen in the pictures. Have all glass as well. Have everything to finish the car for a hobbyist who would like to engage in this project. The interior needs to be done and as I've stated all the original pieces I have but haven't re-upholstered them. Car needs sanding and painting, and complete reassembling. I put 12,000.00 on the price, this is negotiable. So don't email me with nasty comments. I realize I'm not going to get back what I've put into it and I realize 12k is a higher starting price. It is one of my favorite cars in the world and I am only selling it because I need the money. I am willing to negotiate but the car isn't going for what you would pay for it if all this hadn't already been done to it. Please call if you are interested (817) 269-6071. 1959 Ford Galaxie 500, teal and white, 2 door sedan. Has been restored but not in original color. Was running at time it was put in garage. Father passed away 2009 and my mother can no longer drive. Need to sell the car. Has not been started in about 3 years. I am going to have mechanic get it running, Shouldn't take much to get it running again. Beautiful car. Bought in 2007 I believe, restored in 2008. Has been kept in garage. Chrome was redone but does have some light pitting in places. Car had plastic on seats when my father bought it, Will send more pics to anyone seriously interested.

It was born October 28, 1966 in Ford Motor Companies Los Angles plant, and resided in the state until we purchased it. It is a very original car in many senses. The motor has been rebuilt and the body received a respray of the original Raven black hue. Most of the chrome and trim were removed, polished, and reinstalled to keep originality as much as possible. The 352 V-8 fires right up and runs like a champ. It features a 4 barrel carburetor, dual exhaust, chrome dress up kit, and recent tune up. Power is transferred to the 3:00.1 Ford rear end through a smooth shifting Ford-o-matic 3 speed transmission. That transmission is operated from a mostly original XL interior via a chrome T handle shifter rising from a factory console. A very rare site on a big ole Ford! The black bucket seat interior is very comfortable and on those super hot days you can use the cold blowing factory air conditioning! The chassis is clean and what you would expect from a real Southern California car and rides on new white wall radial tires and refurbished suspension. The dual exhaust has that classic Glass Pack exhaust note that reigned supreme in the mid sixties. The trunk is clean and tidy like original with a new full size spare available if needed. The body and chassis appear to be original sheet metal with only one floor pan on the drivers side replaced. The codes on the door read as follows:(76B) Galaxie XL Convertible(A) Raven Black paint(86) Black bucket seat interior(28K) Built October 28, 1966(71) Los Angles DSO(1) 3:00.1 axel(7) Ford-a-matic transmission This is an outstanding full size and sleek convertible that anyone would be proud to own. Very Beautiful Galaxie 500 Convertible, very clean, drives and shifts great, interior is 51 years old so it's getting time to think about a re do. New Convertible black top. Rims and tires almost new, I don't believe I've ever gone out in the car without a wave, thumbs up, that's a cool car, eat.....   Getting ready to move to my cabin in the Black Hills and wife wants to bring her BMW convertible. Remember Happy Wife, Happy life..  I thought this would be with me until late in my life but it's got to go..   You will not be disappointed with this car.   I have looked at hundreds of these classics and many well over 40,000.  This one is not there but you could put a new stock or custom interior in it and be well on its way.  For the bad,,  Speedo does not work and Dash Lights do not work.   I even hate writing this description cause I really don't want to sell it but here we go.  Thanks Jay

With a slick hardtop roofline, a potent matching-numbers 406 under the hood, and a 4-speed between the seats, these were factory muscle cars before there were muscle cars. Nicely finished in traditional Corinthian White with a gorgeous turquoise vinyl interior, it's an upscale cruiser that can still hand out beatings on the street. Recently repainted and looking great, there's no way to make the Galaxie look bad. Ford hit the styling out of the ballpark, with crisp lines and those big, round taillights that reflected the '60s enthusiasm for the jet age. The paint went down over well-prepped sheetmetal, and even on those massive quarter panels, there's nary a ripple. The finish is expertly done and shows almost no flaws yet has a soft shine which always seems perfectly appropriate on these cars. Professional workmanship makes it stand out and the other guys at the show will always be frustrated when this car shows up because it'll attract all the attention. All the trim (and there is a lot of it) is in excellent condition. Both bumpers appear to have been re-chromed, and the long stainless strips that frame the sides of the car are straight and bright. This one also proudly wears a 406 badge, which reflects the engine living under the hood, but let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet. A 4-speed with bucket seats and a console is a cool industrial-strength early muscle car look, and it works well in the Galaxie. Since the original interior was Chestnut, everything in the car was replaced when the rest of the car was refinished, so it remains in outstanding condition with no damage or overt signs of aging. The deeply pleated seats show exceptional detailing, which is often lacking in aftermarket seat covers, and even the metal buttons in the seatbacks have been retained. This one remains almost entirely stock, including the AM radio in the dash, and it's kind of nice to not see a group of aftermarket gauges hanging under the dash, especially on a car with this much performance potential. The 3-spoke wheel fits the Galaxie's personality perfectly, and that 4-speed shifter on the console makes a bolt statement in a full-sized luxury car. Gentleman's hot rod indeed! The trunk is highly authentic, with a reproduction mat, full-sized spare, and a correct jack assembly. As I mentioned, the engine is the original, matching-numbers 406 cubic inch V8, and it makes all the right sounds and amazing power. Dressed in black with gold Thunderbird valve covers, it's the ultimate early '60s powerplant if you're a Ford fan, both muscular and refined, making the performance seem almost effortless. There's a chrome air cleaner with correct "406 High Performance" decal, and a big four barrel carburetor living underneath that makes the most delightful sound when you crack open all four barrels. Beautifully tuned, settles into an even 750 RPM idle with only a hint of the cam inside burbling through the dual exhaust system. The 4-speed snaps through the gears, and the entire car feels robust and sturdy, as if it could take the abuse all day and with 3.50 gears in the 9-inch rear end, it's an easy highway cruiser, too. The chassis is clean, wearing a very light coat of undercoating for noise and heat control, and it wears 15-inch steelies with vintage Firestone redline tires that look butch and stuff the wheel wells properly. Fast with class, that's the Galaxie's motto, and this one shows you why. If you're a Ford fan, few cars can match the 406 Galaxie's reputation. With a slick fastback roofline and a great-running 352 cubic inch V8 under the hood, these were factory muscle cars before there were muscle cars. Nicely finished in Peacock Blue with a handsome black vinyl interior, it's an upscale cruiser that can still hand out beatings on the street. Repainted several years ago and still looking great, there's no way to make the Galaxie look bad. Ford hit the styling out of the ballpark, with crisp lines and those big, round taillights that reflected the '60s enthusiasm for the jet age. The paint went down over well-prepped sheetmetal, and even on those massive quarter panels, there's nary a ripple. The code B Peacock Blue finish has a good finish to it today, which always seems perfectly appropriate on these cars, and it makes a wonderful statement at the local cruise night where it will be warmly welcomed. All the trim (and there is a lot of it) is in excellent condition. Both bumpers appear to have been re-chromed, and the long stainless strips that frame the sides of the car are straight and bright. While the 390 badges on the front fenders do not reflect what's under the hood, it's always fun to have a little fun people while sitting at the local redlight. A wide bench seat is a cool industrial-strength early muscle car look, and it works well in the Galaxie. Some parts of it were most likely restored when the rest of the car was refinished, but there's also plenty of originality here and the line between new and old is hard to discern. The deeply pleated seats show exceptional detailing, which is often lacking in aftermarket seat covers, and even the metal buttons in the seatbacks have been retained. This one remains almost mostly stock, with the original AM radio in the dash, although there's an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo in a cool custom housing on the transmission tunnel, plus an upgraded A/C unit under the dash that looks quite authentic. The 3-spoke wheel fits the Galaxie's upscale personality perfectly and a pair of cup holders makes it practical for your favorite cruise night get-togethers. The trunk is highly original, with a carpet mat, full-sized spare, and a jack assembly. As I mentioned, the engine is a torquey 352 cubic inch V8, and it makes all the right sounds and amazing power. Upgraded from a 2-barrel to a 4-barrel carburetor, it is an excellent choice for your luxury muscle. Dressed in chrome valve covers with an open-element air cleaner, it's the ideal early '60s powerplant, both muscular and refined, making the performance seem almost effortless. Beautifully tuned, it settles into an even 700 RPM idle with only a hint of the cam inside and the burbling dual exhaust offers trick cut-outs just behind the front wheels for a dash of '60s street performance. The 3-speed automatic transmission snaps through the gears, and the entire car feels robust and sturdy, as if it could take the abuse all day. The chassis is clean, wearing a coat of undercoating for noise and heat control, and it wears 15-inch Torque Thrust wheels with 215/70/14 blackwalls that look butch and stuff the wheel wells properly. Fast with class, that's the Galaxie's motto, and this one shows you why. If you're a Ford fan, few cars can match the Galaxie's reputation.
