97 Triple Black SVT Cobra Coupe for Sale4.6 liter 32v Dohc with t-45 speed.EXTERIOR-American Racing Rebel's chrome 18x9/10.-tires are BFGoodrich KDW Nt. 275/35-18 front and 295/35-18 rear. Tires have about 6k miles. Right rear has about 1k miles as it was replace due to road hazard.-Black paint job that was done in October of 07, Car was stripped to bare metal/urethane and primed and block numerous times. Car was disassembled and painted, glass was out, hood, decklid and fenders off. Jams were painted. The car was color sanded and buffed and is perfect. I have driven the car 15k miles since paint. My Cobra is powered by the original 305 horsepower version of the 4.6-liter V-8 with 32 valve overhead cam motor. The car has never been driver in the rain or snow. I am the 2nd owner, the 1st owner is my bother in law who only put 6200 miles on it for its 1st 8 years. Currently is has 30,700 miles. It is number 1873 of 3480 made and 1 of 979 triple black convertibles made. In 2006 through 2008 I upgraded and replaced the following · Steeda Caster Camber Plates · Ford Motor Sport Springs · Jack Roush Shocks and Struts · New Ford Motor Sport plugs and plug wires · Cobra grill emblem · BF Goodrich G Force tires 255 40ZR17 · New Ford Motor Sport Clutch and Pressure Plate (two years and less than 500 miles) All original parts will be supplied with the car, even the original tires if you want. The Cobra has a clean Carfax however, it does indicate a mileage inconsistency. This is due to an incorrect entry by the smog check technician into the computer system. The hand written copy from Smog Stop shows the odometer reading at 30,146 which is correct. The technician unfortunately typed the mileage as 60,146 miles on the Smog Check Vehicle Inspection Report. This wasn’t realized at the time. The car was stolen on 3/19/2013 and recovered on 3/21/2013. The list of items replaced include: · Keyless Entry Module · AB Switch assembly direction indicator · Cup Holder · Switch plates on both doors · Lower trim panel under the steering column · All of the trunk panels The only article still missing is the boot for the convertible top. Both the front and rear bumpers were removed and painted. The cars paint is a #1 with only a very small blemish, less than 1/8” round on the trunk lid. The right side skirt does not fit flush. The interior is in very good conduction and has never been smoked in. The car drives very very good. It has not been driver for the past three years as I am now an owner of a 2012 Boss 302 LS that takes up my free time. So if you want a very good and clean SVT COBRA this is it.

It was no longer just some careless badging with mild tuning or an upgraded motor on a dying chassis. It was becoming a developed GT. It received an all-new independent rear suspension. Mated with its 320 horsepower 4.6 alloy block V8, this was (finally) the Cobra that the market demanded. Only 4,055 convertible Cobras were built in 1999 and a mere 278 of them were delivered in the desirable white/black color combination. This Cobra was sold new from a local Los Angeles Ford dealer in July of 1999. The first owner drove the car for about a year and then traded it back to the Ford dealer. The current owner purchased the car as a certified car from McCoy Mills Ford of Orange County in October of 2000 with 12,000 miles on it. This owner is a mature enthusiast who was looking for a nice open car for Sunday drives. After many years of servicing and enjoying the car, he decided he wanted a bit more power. He enlisted the help of Vortech Superchargers. Vortech is one of the leading brands for these systems. The installation is extremely clean and has a factory look to it. Over $5,000 was invested. The end result was a very clean and handsome engine bay and 371 rear wheel horsepower on the dyno. This system is smog legal in all 50-states and easily passes California’s very strict emission testing. All the original engine parts removed have been retained and will be included with the car. Although these Cobras came with most available options as standard equipment, there were still a few items that could be ordered. It appears that this example was loaded with most of them: Leather power seats Rear spoiler/wing Mach 460 sound system CD player Tonneau cover Power convertible top This SVT Cobra has been extremely well cared for. It has always been garaged, detailed/serviced regularly, and rarely driven in inclement weather. The exterior looks fantastic. All the paint is original with minimal signs of use. The soft top is in perfect condition. It comes standard with a rear glass window and defroster (big improvement). The wheels are original with no curb rash and wear brand new Michelin Pilot Sport tires (45,000 mile tire warranty included). The front brakes and rotors were recently replaced. The rears have more than half life remaining. The interior is equally as nice with no tears, rips, cracks, smells, etc. It looks very close to new. Everything works properly. The A/C blows ice cold. All the gauges work. The sound system sounds great. No service has been over-looked. It gets regular oil changes with synthetic oil. It is never abused or raced. It drives great and feels very tight. The supercharger system is fantastic. It feels like something the factory would do. This is a wonderful and very well preserved convertible that is ready for open-top touring. California registration is paid through February of 2015. A/C, one of the lines on the low side has a very slow leak, to get it working I just recharge it and would blow cold air again. Rather than fool anyone I decided to leave it as it is so it can be properly taken care of. The Cabin Heating worked once in a while but hardly ever used it. Last time I tried, it didn't blow hot air, don't know what the issue is there. Handbrake not working, small cable broke 3 months ago. I installed the new replacement cable on the handle but didn't finish the install, the new owner can properly take care of it. Thump/Snap in front suspension when moving from a stop, sounds like Outer Tie Rod End, but I have not had time to pinpoint the issue so new owner will have to address this. Alternator half year old, bearing/pulley has small whine at times. Driver Power Seat leather worn and torn in some spots, Drive Power Seat motor is very tired and weak. Mach 460 rear Sub amps and speakers not working, might be disconnected? I never checked these out because I hardly ever used the sound system and always enjoyed listening to the engine and exhaust. Some light dents, chips and scratches (see pic's). Windshield wiper reservoir motor not working. Front Corner lights Rubber dried and some parts broke off, from the elements of nature, but does not affect the function of the lights in any way. Clear coat paint fade on Wing and upper portion of Rear Bumper. Right Fender behind corner light dent from hitting FWY Road debris.
