2017-01-01 89 Description: Up for auction we have a very clean 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1. Very good running/driving condition lots of new parts!!! We have a clean/clear title in hand. Please read description carefully before placing a bid or making any offers. This is a true verified 1970 Mach 1. Paint is approximately 2 months old Pepper Gray Metallic with black Mach 1 striping. Paint job is a 2 stage base/clear that has been cut and polished to a nice shine. Undercarriage was given a rubberized undercoating at same time of paint. Many new exterior parts and add ons. The engine is a Ford V8 351 Cleveland, brand new 2V heads runs great with plenty of power. Engine is built with many performance add ons (Holley carb, Edelbrock intake, Pertronix distributor, Aluminum radiator, Headers) bottom end of engine is stock. Engine is turn key and does not overheat. Transmission is a rebuilt C4 three speed automatic shifts fine through all gears no issues. The interior has been redone with deluxe comforweave Mach 1 bucket seat upholstery rimblow steering wheel and a center console. Wheels are brand new Magnum 500's 15x7 front and 15x8 in the rear wrapped in new Cooper Cobra GT radials. Exhaust is full length headers running into dual 2.5 inch aluminized piping and Flowmaster mufflers producing a very throaty tone. The brakes are factory power disc up front with drums in the rear. Brakes work good with ample stopping power. Suspension is stock coil springs up front with leaf springs out back. 9 inch rear end. New shocks all the way around. Very well kept mustang ii with original numbers matching 302 engine and automatic transmission. Miles are original not rolled over yet. 100% sure about the mileage no doubt at all. Matching rims and tires have about 90% tread. Interior is in very good shape and looks very good for being almost 40 years old. Door panels are great and seats are also excellent only one small rip. Rear seats and rear interior panels look amazing, no marks. Starts on first turn every time. This is an absolute eye catcher and conversation piece. I have my favorite Cragar Wheels on the car however it does come with the original wheels and new tires. The Mach one is currently professionally set up with a 4-Speed Ford Top Loader. For you "original equipment" enthusiast, I have the original FMX Automatic Trans, shifter, linkage, Pedal, Driveshaft...everything to put it back to original, if you so desire. The engine compartment looks new. Very clean and impressive. The motor is tight, runs awesome, no smoke or leaks. It has a slight build and retains the stock look right down to the decals! The Shaker sits perfectly as it should in the hood. It pulls hard and shifts smooth through the gears. The interior is excellent as well. It took me 10 years to find this car...I had one in High School 1979-1980 and decided many years later that I had to have another. This car is RARE!! You just don't see many 1969 - Acapulco Blue, 351-4V with a Shaker Scoop Mach 1 Mustangs. I have followed them for years. For those looking for a true 1969 351 4V SHAKER car, this is it! The car was professionally set up with the more desirable Ford Top-Loader 4-Speed. The car has the look, sound, and feel of a true muscle car. This is not a typical tear down restoration with a bunch of after-market parts…this is a true nicely kept vehicle, with a beautiful clean engine compartment, a super nice interior, a great “stance”, and the overall looks are there! When you pull up somewhere in this car...people notice you, and want to talk to you. The sale includes 4 beautiful original wheels and are fitted with new tires. If you are not interested in the Cragar Wheels currently on it…I will negotiate a deduct amount with you from your winning bid, and keep them myself as I have a use for them. I also have other misc extra parts for the car; weather striping, rear seat belts to install, sound deadening material for under the folding rear seat, etc...I would like to do my very best to fully describe any vehicle faults I know of for those bidding and cannot inspect the vehicle. As awesome as this car appears and is, here are a few areas I would fault it; The headliner has a 3” tear, The rear fold down seat squeaks, this is a common problem. I have a roll of special sound deadening material that comes with the car, I was told to install under the entire seat. Some of the gaps are not perfect…between the door and fender, etc…another common problem for 1969 technology. These gaps can be improved with investing time and patience adjusting things. I don’t believe it has the original block, the number stamped just above the starter is C90E-6015 9C27. The rubber boot on the Shaker sags some. The hood weather strip is worn I have the part. There are a few paint "bubbles" at the bottom of the passenger door. They have not changed in years. To my knowledge all the panels and floors are original. As mentioned a Florida and California car, stored inside, not driven in rain. I was informed by an interested bidder, that the black out paint and striping on the hood was not per exact specs. I wanted to disclose this as a potential "flaw" . If this is a concern of yours, I can certainly provide measurements for you. I just wanted to disclose this, in the event it is true. Car can be made available for inspection. I would prefer pick-up, however if you have it transported please plan to make all the arrangements and pay for all costs. I will assist in any way possible! Straight and clean 1971 Ford Mach 1 Mustang. This Mach 1 has only had a couple owners and it has always been in southern California. Still retains the California Blue plates as shown. It has been well cared for and it shows. The original interior is in fantastic condition. From the seats, to the dash, door panels, headliner, etc. The body is very straight and clean, has all of its original panels, and it is without repairs of any kind. The floors, frame, and trunk are nearly perfect with Zero rust or patches. The original motor, transmission, and rear end are all in place and it runs and drives great. Brakes and steering function properly as well. I ordered the Marti Report and it is included and shown. There has been a lot of time and money spent on caring for this Mach 1. No dents or even dings to mention. Glass is all excellent. It has new Cooper Cobra tires on the original wheels. All the lights and gauges work. Clean California title in hand. I travelled long and hard to the central valley to a desolate town. There I encountered a friendly fellow that sold me this mustang. He had found it and just sat on it for 5 years. It was time for it to go as he was in a remodeling phase. The deal was made lightning fast as the phone rang incessantly. This car has a great body and I wouldn't hesitate to run it around as is. The motor looks like it will need to come out and be gone thru. The transmission linkage feels mushy and will need your attention. Everything mechanical should be examined before you hit 100 mph. This is a great color for the model. The interior is in sad shape. Yes this is a project that will require quite a bit of time and patience. Not for the faint of heart and light of wallet.
