1954 Chevrolet 5 window, 3100, short bed, step side half-ton truck. Just finished a year-long nut and bolt, frame-off restoration. Photos of the build are available. No rust, even in corner pockets. Starts instantly, runs very well, handles correctly and rides smoothly, with Michelin radials, gas shocks and alloy wheels. Automatic, 350 Small block, Power disk brakes, stock suspension. Frame is unmodified. Open drive-line with 10 bolt Eton posi rear. Paint is fresh, everything is new or refurbished. Body is straight as a string, good shut lines, shiny. Among many other things: New tinted glass in doors, wings and windshield. Original glass in three rear windows. New carpets, mats (with sound proofing) door cards, handles, locks, wind lace, seals, etc. Gauges work, new speedometer, with GM adapter to correct speedometer. New glove box, lighter, temp gauge, etc. Parking brakes work 1986 production 350 4 bolt main crate engine, rebuilt with hypereutectic pistons, RV cam, new everything inside. 1.94 heads, Weiand aluminum intake, Edelbrock Model 1405 (600 cfm) 4 bbl carburetor, new pipes, wrapped exhaust, two new glass packs. New electronic ignition distributor, fuel pump, etc. K&N element. 16 inch thermostatically controlled electric fan, with shroud, on the new polished aluminum radiator. Runs 175-185 degrees at all times. Transmission rebuilt, 3 speed, new floor shifter. Rebuilt 12 volt alternator. Brakes are disk Camaro type. 5 lug Chevy wheels front and back, Corvette 7 inch power booster with dual master cylinder located under floor, with adjustable proportioning valve for fine tuning the braking system. Every wire on the truck is new. All lights, turn signals and gauges work. New gas tank, sender, etc. All new rubber, door latches, locks, seals, windlace, glove box, etc. Spray bed-liner and new bed wood, plus LOTS of stainless steel bolts. Driven less than 20 miles since complete rebuild as of posting of the ad. This design is the last of the first series trucks. The rarest of the 'Advanced Design' Chevrolet trucks, these single windshields, unique grill trucks were only in production from 1954 to early 1955, just 16 months, ending the first series.
