1968 Chevrolet C-20 Pickup Truck with enclosed camper shell. Patina. Great Condition for its age She has served me for nearly 20 years (owned since 1997). Sad to see it go, but I need to give it a good, new home. Good, running vehicle used as daily driver. Has a light patina. Deserves a full restoration, but still performs like a champ for daily work. Some rust around cab roof seams. Needs new tires. One small dent on right front fender. Many recently replaced items. Engine: 327 cubic inch V8, rebuilt by current owner in 2000. 327 cubic inch V8, original model to vehicle, but not original engine block. Relatively low mileage; possibly around 60,000 miles. Runs well, has some valve guide wear on left cylinder bank. Some smoke upon starting. Clears up after a few minutes. Transmission: TH400 3 speed automatic transmission, replaced with torque converter in 2007 ¾ ton suspension 3.55:1 rear gearing, changed out from original 4.56:1 in 1999. Rear Wheel Drive Long bed with matching camper shell. Camper shell to cab seal leaks a little, as they all do. Pallets are handy in bed to keep items off the bed floor in case of rain. Galvanized steel rear bumper with trailer hitch. Solid aluminum-chrome aftermarket rims, great condition. Has some rust around cab roof seams, needs new tires Brand new items: water pump, starter, heater core, master brake cylinder, rear wheel cylinders, battery Message me with any questions. Very good condition,'50's pickup fires up and runs great. I relocated back to Los Angeles and had a transporter bring it here a few months ago. Kept in a garage in downtown L.A. driven occasionally on the weekends. About eight months ago I drove it from Baton Rouge to Houston - about 490 miles with no problems. Gets up to about 90 mph. Midnight blue metallic. Heavy duty rear bumper - I used to use this truck in my house renovation work. Can hold about a 600lb load without issue - has wider tires than original so if load gets too much - will rub on tires. Redid the leaf springs and front suspension. I'm told by mechanic that it has a '84 Chevy V8 motor, Edelbrock carbs, electric fuel pump. Power steering, power breaks, A/C blows cold. Sometimes the fan doesn't turn on - I think its a wire but the unit works - I had it re-freoned last summer. Sometimes you just have to turn it off and back on. Interior black bucket Range rover seats- electric and adjustable used to use the adjustments- wired up - they just need to plugged in. I'm not a mechanic - I used Robert Roggiero, a race car mechanic in Los Angeles for all the servicing the last ten years I've owned it. Have at least $20k in it. Was originally aqua - when I bought it was a faded red. Bought from some guy in the mountains of New Mexico and brought it back to CA i on trailer in 2005. At that time it had a three speed stick. Now has a B&M shifter on the floor and automatic transmission. You're welcome to call my mechanic for the history of renovations, upgrades, repairs, etc. Damn good, DEPENDABLE truck. I drove it just about every day for years (since 2005). But I went back and got a masters degree last year and need to sell to pay off my loans. The wire was replaced and the a/c now functions properly.
