2001 Chevy Camaro convertible with 84,000 original miles. Great looking, great running car. Brand new top. Clean title. My grandmother bought it new and sold it to me a few years ago. I don't want to sell it, because it's so fun and all payed for. However, my wife and I have a baby and a baby car seat won't fit in it. There are two things that need attention: The passenger side window motor should be replaced, as it is very slow. Also, the front seats have cracks in them due to age and use. Other than that, it's great. I will miss it, but parental duty calls.

Greetings! Up for your consideration is an awesome Z28 convertible for sale. It is in very good shape for being 21 yrs old. Lots of mods and love on this car. Paint is in good shape, I'd give it an 8 out of 10. I can't tell if the car has been repainted but bumpers and a few spots definitely. The vinyl graphics are faded but still give it character. No signs of any collision anywhere I look other than some stress signs on rear bumper, as if from parking bumps. No signs of rust either, other than a couple of 1/4" holes thru the passenger side floor board it is solid. The top is in very good shape except for the rear plastic window- opaque with a small crack and seal around it is coming apart but does not leak. The power top operates smooth as it should. Power windows are a bit lazy but work. 18" tires are like new, installed by the previous owner mid 2014. Chrome rims are nice but starting to peel. Aftermarket ram air hood is in great shape but not functional. The LT1 engine has an aftermarket camshaft and the heads have been ported, emissions have been removed but available if you want to put them back. The exhaust is pacesetter headers to full magnaflow exhaust, no cat. The 4spd auto transmission was rebuilt in 2013 and works fine, fluid is clean, does have an aftermarket pan. The rear shocks are QA1 adjustables. Brake rotors are drilled and slotted. The interior has been tastefully redone with matching door panels and blue trim. The previous owner bought the car in 2006, doesnt have any knowledge of the specifics of the mods done to the car. He's an older gent and just wanted a cool convertible to pimp around in. He added aprox 8K in the 9 yrs he owned it. I took the car as payment for another job a few weeks ago, it's still titled in his name. I installed a new Battery, O2 sensors, filters, wipers, oil, optispark, wireset, water pump, thermostat, hoses, valve cover gaskets, valve seals, and intake manifold gaskets- all new not remanufactured. Car does not leak any oil or coolant. Starts up every time, has good heat and a/c. Sounds really good and overpowers the undersized tires no prob. It drives and handles well, no rattles or squeaks. It has an alarm system and comes with 2 sets of keys and remotes. If you're in the Holbrook NY area, swing on by my shop and take a look. This auction is for a bone stock 1998 Camaro z28 6-speed convertible with 155,000 miles and miles will go up slightly as I'm currently using it as a daily driver to work. the car is rust free and in really nice shape with the exception of some minor dings, scratch's here and there and a scuff on the left front fender that would probably buff out. the convertible top works but the frame looks to be missing 2 bolts that connect the arms together on the passenger side, I found a hole new piece on ebay for $145. the top looks almost perfect with no major leaks that I've noticed. the leather is super nice with very little to no wear. The leather on the steering wheel is wore threw but I have another wheel that I will throw in with the sale. The carpets are in very nice shape with some minor stains in the back floor area. the dash has no cracks and is clean. I have all new upper and lower ball joints that go with the sale ( not sure if it needs them but they are included ). The car appears to have been painted at one time but shows nicely and was repainted the stock color. Tires need to be replaced, brakes stop good, a/c is cold heat is hot, power options all work and no service lights on the dash. car rides nice on the highway at 75 and transmission shifts clean n smooth. the cars engine is strong and issue free, NO smoking, knocking, ticking SHE FIRES RIGHT UP AT THE TAP OF THE KEY. The power steering pump is going bad and I'm going to be replacing it with a new one and there is some faint noise in the rear sounds like a axle bearing. In my opinion is does not sound like a rear end, the more I've been driving the car it seems to have gotten quieter ( the car spent a lot of time in the last owners garage sitting). However it could be the rear but I don't believe it is and at highway speeds the sound is gone. THIS CAR IS NOT PERFECT BUT IS DEFINITLY A GOOD SOLID DRIVER. Per GM Factory records only 1254 Z28 Convertible Camaros’ were made in 1992 This one is a 5 speed convertible with repainted original color Purple Haze/Hawaiian Orchard with added Black Heritage stripes instead of the original Godly silver stripes. 3rd owner extra car stored in garage since 2004 driven less than 2,000 miles in 11 years. Carfax shows no accidents or mileage issues. Odometer shows 104,195 original miles on original Chevy 305 TPI engine, Borgwarner T5 transmission and Chevy limited slip differential. Rebuilt original heads by G & M Precision in Covina Mechanical work performed by Family Automotive in Covina, CA and Orr Automotive in Montclair, CA All new upper gaskets, trany and rearend seals. New items include: canvas top, Centerforce Stage 2 clutch disc and pressure plate, Bosch fuel injectors, Delco starter, rear end and trany seals, Flowmaster exaust, engine radiator, water pump, fan motor, heater core, front disc pads and rear brake shoes, fuel pump, gas filter, coil, ignition wires, ignition switch, key cylinder lock, spark plugs, air filters, fuel filter, serpentine belt, battery, seat upholstery, dash upholstery, Z28 mats, u joints, rear shocks and headlights. Rebuilt items include: master cylinder, calipers, wheel cylinders, Delco electronic control module, ICM and steering column. Changed fluids in engine, trany, rearend, brake cylinders and radiator. Enertainment for this car comes by way of a Sony stereo with original placement upgraded speakers and trunk subwoofer with 600 watt amp. I have owned this car for several years. While it has higher miles they are mostly all highway the previous owner commuted between Miami and Orlando. The car runs and drives well. The body / paint is in very good condition with the exception of the rear bumper has some spider webbing on one corner where it was bumped into while in storage. The car has been part of larger collection and I am now out of space and selling a couple cars off. The top was replaced a few years ago and is in excellent shape, recent brakes with slotted rotors. I rebuilt the transmission about 30,000 miles ago. The car is sold where it is and as is. Only known issue is A/C needs to be recharged which isn't a high priority in the Northwest where I live. The car is being sold with the original white wheels. The engine and transmission are original to the car "numbers matching" and I have a copy of the dealer invoice. These I suspect one day will go up in value and hagerty's index has the value in the 12-13,000 dollar range.

But if you want a 2002 Camaro Z/28 convertible that's about as close to new as you can get, well, this might be it. With just 9001 actual miles, it's an unusual and unusually handsome tribute to the end of third-generation Camaro production. OK, so it took a few years for the Camaro to make a comeback, but that doesn't diminish the appeal of this gorgeous sliver ragtop. Bereft of stripes, spoilers, and scoops, the Camaro's ultra-clean shape speaks for itself and looks fantastic, especially rendered in bright silver paint. The redesigned nose works rather well with the smooth hood and details like the faired-in side mirrors and neatly integrated rear spoiler work especially well here. As you'd expect with so few miles, the car is virtually unmarked and someone obviously bought it with the idea of putting it away for posterity. That means no rain, no commutes, no racing, and the bodywork shows evidence of proper care since it was purchased 13 years ago. Z/28 emblems on the front fenders remind everyone that this is no pushover six-cylinder car, and with twin exhaust pipes peeking out from under the rear bumper, everyone knows this car means business. None of the high-risk areas have been retouched, meaning that the clean chin and rocker panels are that way because of care, not restoration. The black leather interior works perfectly with the silver bodywork and it, too, is pretty much as-new in every way. There might be some very minor stretching on the driver's seat leather, but otherwise it's clean and well-preserved. The Z/28 came loaded with just about everything Chevy could throw into an F-body, including A/C, power windows, locks, mirrors, and seats, cruise control, and a great-sounding AM/FM/CD stereo system that fills the convertible with sound. Gauges are big, bright, and clear, and, of course, fully functional, and don't let the automatic shifter fool you; this is indeed a serious performance car. A black canvas roof fits well and seals up nicely thanks to a heated glass rear window and the trunk, while not huge, is deep enough to handle a few overnight bags. Oh, and there's also a CD changer back there, perfect for road trips. The 2002 Camaro came packing Corvette firepower in the form of a 5.7 liter LS1 V8. The all-aluminum small block was the most potent American engine in 2002 and testing proved that it lost nothing to its fiberglass sibling in the horsepower department. Of course, this one is completely unmodified and nicely preserved, with correct decals, markings, and equipment under the hood. The battery has been replaced, but otherwise it is all OEM and with this much performance available, you probably won't miss the aftermarket upgrades. The 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission is no handicap, either, making this a fantastic car for cutting through traffic and a superlative high-speed cruiser for long trips. The Z's suspension is capable but not too harsh and with 4-wheel disc brakes, stopping power is impressive. Those chrome wheels were an extra-cost option and wear 245/50/16 Goodyear radials which are likely the car's original shoes. Documented with the original window sticker and manuals, this is the third-gen Camaro to put away in your permanent collection. This is actually a rather rare car, a 2002 V8 Camaro that isn't an SS. The standard Z/28's clean looks are smooth and chiseled, and it arguably wears the facelifted headlights and grille a lot more successfully than its more extroverted siblings. It's still easily identifiable as a Camaro, of course, but it keeps a lower profile, and in black, has a very grown-up look that's less boy racer than you'd expect. The black paint is original, and with just 48,859 original miles, it's in decent shape considering that it's also 13 years old. Perfect? No. But the car has the look of a machine that has led an easy life and few Camaro convertibles have been subjected to the daily grind, including this one. For a convertible, this one is rock solid, so the doors close with reassuring solidity and it shows off rather nice build quality with tight gaps and good attention to detail. Out back, you get distinctive tri-color taillights as well as the neatly integrated rear spoiler and a modest ground-effects kit that makes the Z look long and low. The black leather interior has a great look for being 13 years old and despite the open-air motoring it has experienced over its lifetime, it's in very good condition. The seats have some slight comfort marks, which only makes the leather that much more inviting and there's no denying that it was built for speed as well as comfort. There's some light fading on the carpets, which is pretty typical on convertibles, but things like the back seat, door panels, and dash pad are excellent with almost no wear at all. Big, bold gauges were part of the Z/28 package and this car comes loaded with just about every option, including power seats, windows, locks, and mirrors, plus A/C, cruise control, and a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo system. It's also got a quick-shifting 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission that makes this a great point-and-shoot machine in traffic and allows you to focus on the road. The black canvas convertible top is in excellent condition and stows under a neat boot that gives it a clean look. And for a convertible, the trunk is deep enough for all your gear and remains in good shape. Chevy's all-aluminum LS1 needs no introduction, and its installation in the Camaro created one of the best performers of the early 21st century. GM downplayed the horsepower, but testing at the time pretty much confirms that this is a Corvette-spec motor. Modifications are common but this one remains entirely stock, which assures you that it hasn't been abused or treated to questionable upgrades. It starts easily, idles smoothly, and still yanks the clean ragtop up to speed with effortless ease. It's been well-maintained and the LS1 has proven itself to be virtually indestructible, so it's got plenty of life left in it. Someone has kept up with the detailing under the hood, so it's quite clean and the chassis is equally clean. It's still running its stock exhaust system, complete with catalytic converter, so it's emissions legal just about everywhere and the unique 16-inch Z/28 wheels and 245/50/16 Kumho tires are ready to go. If you're looking for affordable top-down fun with a V8 engine, you just found the all-time champion. Clean, fast, and nicely maintained, this Camaro more than lives up to the hype.
