I'm selling a 1983 Chevy Camaro for a friend. He is the second owner. It was bought in California by a buddy of his in 1983. drove it for 2 years on nice days only. Then but it storage. My friend bought it and put it in storage. Never drove it. It has never been driven in snow and has always been in storage in the winter. It has 21,256 miles on the speedometer. I will tell you that the speedometer does not work. Think its the cable. So it would need to be replaced. It had all the original fluids in it up until about 4 months ago when we had them drained and flushed and filled with new fluids. The a/c did work over the summer when I tried it. The heat works. For what I've noticed all the stuff works. Wipers, radio, power windows and locks, etc....... Runs real good. We had to put a new fuel pump on it to. It has power windows, power locks, its an automatic, its the last year of the carburetor before they went to the electronic style in 84. Its white, no t tops. Its got two new tiers on the back and the ones on the front are in nice shape. My friend had z-bart, sprayed in it. If you dont know what that is. Its where they drill a hole in the door jam and sprayed an undercoating inside the body areas and around the engine compartment. That was to prevent rust. The interior is in great shape. This auction is for a 68 Pro-Touring Camaro SS RS Convertible. Nothing has been spared in the build of this car. It is ready for a cruise night or a trip across the country. The engine is 2002 LS-1 from a Trans am that has been completely gone through and updated. The transmission is the 4 speed automatic from the same 02 Trans am and it has also been gone through completely. The rear is now a 9" with TCI 4 link system and disc brakes. The front subframe is also from TCI. A complete Willwood brake system is used. The tank is a custom piece from Rock Valley with internal pump. The body is totally redone. The firewall has been smoothed as well as reworking the inner fender wells. Paint is PPG base/clear and it has a mirror finish. The top is a custom made cloth from Al Knoch and is power operated. All trim on the car is new as well as all weatherstrip and glass. The new windshield wiper system is from Raingear. The Rally Sport front is a new electric system from Ecklers. The interior is all new with seats recovered at Al Knoch, gauges from Classic Instruments, an Ididit tilt steering column and a unique, fabricated console housing a Kenwood stereo and custom shifter. Welcome to our listing for this Great Looking and Affordable 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Tribute. In this era of high dollar Camaro's it is exciting to be able to offer a Camaro that most people can afford. This Camaro has a good amount of upgrades and is in "Driver Quality" condition without doing any additional work. The Camaro was mostly finished when we got the car and some of the description will include what we were told about the car. We were told it has a 327 CU IN engine with victor jr heads. There is definitely a cam of sorts in the Camaro as it has a awesome rumble coming out of the exhaust. In the photos you will be able to see the edelbrock performer intake manifold and headers. Cooling is accomplished with a 4 core aluminum radiator and electric cooling fan. The transmission is a turbo 350 and you can tell there is minimal stall torque convertor. The rear end is a 10 bolt and it has posi traction with single leaf suspension. Even though the brakes are non power drum the Camaro stops easily. The power steering makes cornering a breeze. The body and paint on this Camaro are a SOLID 7 of 10! The panels are straight and the fitment is good. The paint has a nice shine especially for a driver quality car. It has had full patch panels on the rear quarters. The rest of the Camaro is solid as well. The underneath of the Camaro is good as seen in the photos. The only remark you might make is at the rear of the car when they did the patch panels they did not replace the inner rear lower panels. This would be as easy fix if it bothered you as it would not require paint or body work. This Camaro SS Tribute features the highly desirable Cowl Hood, Front and Rear Spoilers, and Z/28 hood and deck striping. We also installed NEW wheel well moldings to accent the exterior of the SS Tribute. Yes, it does get a lot of looks as you cruise down the streets. The interior of the Camaro SS Tribute looks very good. We replaced both front and rear seat covers and put in a new padded dash. The door panels on the SS Tribute are all new. The carpeting is very respectable as is the headliner. Overall the interior shows very nicely. Other items that have just been completed are new door rubbers. The odometer currently reads 39,844, but is not being represented as actual. Miles are EXEMPT on the title. This Camaro SS Tribute rolls on the Factory 15" X 7" Rallye Wheels with "BRAND NEW" trim rings and center caps. We also just installed the NEW Cooper Cobra white lettered 215/70R15 which make the car really stand out. Final thoughts on this Camaro SS Tribute. Even though we would call this a driver quality car it would certainly be good enough to enter most outdoor shows and cruise nites! Especially when you consider the PRICE POINT of this Camaro SS Tribute. Again, this car sounds GREAT! You want to punch it the minute you hear the exhaust rumble! It launches easily from a stop and it exhilarating to drive. It gets plenty of looks and it's a blast to drive. If you have been looking for a 1969 Camaro and have a budget, take a good hard look at this one. It is more than presentable and has all the right stuff! The hood, a performance engine, the stripes and spoilers. It will be almost impossible to find a Camaro SS Tribute with all these features at a lower price!
