I can assist with financing and transport as needed. Here is a gorgeous 1968 Z/28 Camaro that is one of the nicest looking I've seen. It has been through a lot of recent restoration work including new paint and a rebuilt 302ci motor with less than 500 miles. It runs and drives as good as it looks, but there is so much more to tell. Built in May 1968, this rust-free car remained in Colorado until 2015. After spending its initial years on the road, it then found its way to the race track. The original engine was a casualty of this lifestyle, as was the transmission. So too were a few parts typically removed for lighter weight, such as the bumpers, radio, heater, and dash pad. But in 1978 it began the journey back to street duty. Missing parts were replaced (receipts included), and a new 350ci short block was purchased from Luby Chevrolet on 11-13-78. Of course a 350 seems sacrilegious now, but it made sense back then. After going through an inspection on 4-19-79, it was returned to the street. The car spent the next 24 years and 60,000 miles living a quieter life. Along with general maintenance, it was repainted brown and had a power steering conversion. Then in 2003 it was purchased by its last owner who spent the next twelve years restoring the car to its present state. Which brings us to today. As mentioned, this is a rust-free Z/28 that also looks great from underneath. It has a nice straight body that was stripped and repainted in 2014. The quarter panels were replaced and a cowl hood installed (while not an option in 1968, it really adds to the car's look). The pearl metallic blue paint is beautiful day or night. The trim and moldings were all reconditioned for a nice shine. It also has new 15" Rally wheels, center caps, and trim rings along with BF Goodrich tires. The motor is now a 302ci setup that was professionally rebuilt and balanced in April 2015. The block was overbored 0.030" and received Racetec 1000760 domed pistons with file fit rings. A Comp Cams 12-210-2 hydraulic camshaft was used for good, reliable street driving. Cylinder heads are the correct 3917291 castings from 1968 and have hardened valve seats. The aluminum high rise intake is topped by a Holley 750cfm carb with electric choke. The transmission is a correct 1968 Muncie M21, and the 3894860 12-bolt rear end houses an Eaton positraction setup with 3.73 gears. There are many new suspension, brake, and steering components throughout, contributing to a safe and comfortable ride without any squeaks or rattles. Body mount bushings have also been replaced. Much of the original code 711 Ivory/Black custom interior has been replaced in kind, maintaining the black carpet, dash, and steering wheel along with ivory seats and door panels. The shoulder belts and passenger grab handle remain in place, and the N30 steering wheel appears original to the car. The gauges, wipers, and heater all work properly. There is also an aftermarket stereo that sounds nice. Now with any first generation Z/28 Camaro there are always questions of authenticity. The following appear original and are unique to the 1968 Z/28: - Radiator: UH-code 3-core 21" - Tachometer: 6k redline / 7k range - Glove box decal: E70x15 tires - Rear springs: 4-leaf assemblies Further, the following are also present and required for a 1968 Z/28: - VIN staring with 12437 - Front power disc brakes with proportioning valve - Factory stamped holes in the left frame rail (for dual exhaust hanger) - 5-blade fan with clutch - Deep groove pulleys (except power steering) - Speedometer cable routed to right of steering column Finally there are also the correct rear bumper guards and 3/8" fuel line, and of course the fender badges. There are also many receipts from the last 40 years, some of which refer to the car as "Camaro Z28". This iconic Camaro is one of the most desirable cars from the 1960's. In addition, it really is a sharp car with a great ride and nice power. All the hard work has been done, saving all the good stuff for you. The crack on the hood happened because the aftermarket hood didn't fit perfectly so they had to take the skin off the aftermarket hood and put it on an original. The bodykit was not primered properly, so the paint has started flaking there. Those parts need repainting. Otherwise the paintjob is good, bodykit can be removed, the paint underneath is good. The video was taken a while back when the bodykit and hood didn’t have any issues yet. The Car has some vibration when taking off. It is most likely the throwout bearing. Otherwise, there is a new racing clutch installed on the car. Smaller fixes: · Car is missing the emblem on the front bumper. · Car is peeling paint on the ground effects, but they can be removed and underneath the paint is still good · The hood of the car has a small crack in it. · The wiring for the electronic locks and power seats needs installing. · Door handle bezels are needed · Driver’s side pillar cover is needed · Antenna is needed · Car has no radio installed at the moment · New wiring harness is needed for the dash to make the error lights on the dash go away, because of the new Trans Am dash The car does have plates on it, even though not shown on the images, so it is drivable right away. Always garaged. Only driven on nice days and it shows. Paint is shiny and doesn't have swirl marks! No rock chips, no scratches, and no dings. Interior is very nice as well: very clean and even smells new. Runs and drives great - started right up at 5 degrees the other day to back it out of the garage to take a couple pictures. -18" C5 deep dish wheels with practically new tires. You can't buy these wheels anymore. -6" rear one-piece spoiler. You also can't buy this spoiler anymore. -3" Cowl hood. Very hard to find these. -Wings West ground effects Performance upgrades include: supercharger (Procharger), Comp Cam (nice lopey idle), valve springs, pushrods, full stainless exhaust (long tube headers, ORY, and adjustable Borla cat-back, Safely tuned, some suspension upgrades, 3.73 gears, short throw shifter, and I am sure I am missing a couple other things. At the time of purchase the original owner had it Ziebart undercoated, because of that (and the fact that it has never been in any snow, salt or even left outside for any period of time) it is a rust free, rock solid, super straight Z28.The previous owner purchased this Z28 over four years ago, and went through it from one end to the other. All receipts for that work come with the car. I also have both build sheets.Body: The body is super straight with very nice lines. The paint is mostly original paint. The nose has been repainted along with a few spots here and there with a perfect paint match. Decals are very close to perfect with just a couple small spots where they lifted and repaired.Suspension: Every wearable part in the suspension has been replaced including but not limited to: ball joints, springs, all bushings, tie rods, sway links, & shocks. After all the parts were replaced a complete alignment was performed. The spec sheet is available.Engine & Transmission: The original engine had a lifter noise; so it was removed, inspected and rebuilt by Foster Racing Engines of Jackson, MI. with all machine work done by Precision Engine, also of Jackson, MI. It is the original block bored .30 over with all the original tin and crank. The original 194 heads were junk when GM made them so they were replaced with a set of drilled GM LT1 2:02 camel hump heads that were also completely redone with all new valves, springs, guides and seals. Everything else in the engine is new including but not limited to Eagle, Speedpro, Edelbrock, Melling the list goes on. When the engine was out a complete new LUK clutch kit, OEM fork and pivot ball were also installed. The transmission shifted perfect but was still inspected. New bushings were installed in the shifter along with two U-joints.Interior: The interior is very nice with a perfect dash. The seats and belts are original and very nice. New components include but not limited to sail panels, headliner with trim, rear armrest, package tray, carpet, door trim.The wheels were sandblasted, properly primed and painted to match. Then wrapped with new tires, beauty rings and lug nuts.The end result is a super strong running and very nice driving Z28. To the best of my knowledge; this is a three owner Z28 that was originally purchased in Michigan. At the time of purchase the original owner had it Ziebart undercoated, because of that (and the fact that it has never been in any snow, salt or even left outside for any period of time) it is a rust free, rock solid, super straight Z28. The previous owner purchased this Z28 over four years ago, and went through it from one end to the other. All receipts for that work come with the car. I also have both build sheets. Body: The body is super straight with very nice lines. The paint is mostly original paint. The nose has been repainted along with a few spots here and there with a perfect paint match. Decals are very close to perfect with just a couple small spots where they lifted and repaired. Suspension: Every wearable part in the suspension has been replaced including but not limited to: ball joints, springs, all bushings, tie rods, sway links, & shocks. After all the parts were replaced a complete alignment was performed. The spec sheet is available. Engine & Transmission: The original engine had a lifter noise; so it was removed, inspected and rebuilt by Foster Racing Engines of Jackson, MI. with all machine work done by Precision Engine, also of Jackson, MI. It is the original block bored .30 over with all the original tin and crank. The original 194 heads were junk when GM made them so they were replaced with a set of drilled GM LT1 2:02 camel hump heads that were also completely redone with all new valves, springs, guides and seals. Everything else in the engine is new including but not limited to Eagle, Speedpro, Edelbrock, Melling the list goes on. When the engine was out a complete new LUK clutch kit, OEM fork and pivot ball were also installed. The transmission shifted perfect but was still inspected. New bushings were installed in the shifter along with two U-joints. Interior: The interior is very nice with a perfect dash. The seats and belts are original and very nice. New components include but not limited to sail panels, headliner with trim, rear armrest, package tray, carpet, door trim. The wheels were sandblasted, properly primed and painted to match. Then wrapped with new tires, beauty rings and lug nuts. The end result is a super strong running and very nice driving Z28. I have all the receipts along with both build sheets.
