I have no longer any interest in this car nor do I want to spend the money for tags and insurance to get the c ar inspected. The engine is strong but tends to smoke a bit when first starting up and giving it the gas. I have spent over $5,000 in parts on this car and I know I won't get that back. My loss your gain.

1989 Chevrolet Camaro Iroc-Z Convertible RARE- Out of over 100,000 Camaros built in 1989 only 3,940 were Iroc-Z Convertibles! This is one of those special cars for that special person. Well equipped and in nice shape for the year and mileage this Camaro is meant to be enjoyed and taken on many rides top up or down. White Exterior over Red Interior complimented by a Black Convertible Top. Let's not forget that for the money, this is a lot of car! This 26+ yr old runs well and performs as it should with plenty of get up and go. Completely tuned and runs great. 1 year warranty on recent service. The Interior as is typical with most convertibles has some sun bleaching but nothing that would stick out as poor rating for this car. Surprisingly enough the vinyl surfaces are not brittle and in great shape. Exterior paint has plenty of shine though it has a few scratches and chips here and there. Stripes and pinstriping are a bit worn but typical with a classic. Great Looks and an Iconic nameplate that is well regarded then and well known today. Here's a short background history found on Conceptcarz' website.... To honor the International Race of Champions, Chevrolet introduced the IROC-Z in 1985. The package included an improved suspension, decal package, and a 305 cubic-inch L98 Tuned Port Injection system borrowed from the Corvette. The IROC-Z was featured on Car and Driver magazine's Ten Best List for 1985. The L69 small-block engine was offered from 1983 through 1986. The LB9 small-block was introduced in 1985; the L98 small-block was introduced in 1987; the LO3 was introduced in 1988. The LB9, L98, and LO3 stayed in production until 1992. The third generation Camaro was produced from 1982 through 1992. The all-new 1982 Camaro was shorter and lighter that now had a fastback appearance with a large, compound-curved window. It continued to use General Motor's F-body platform and were the first Camaros to use factory fuel injection, four-speed automatic transmissions, five-speed manual transmissions, 16-inch wheels, and four-cylinder engines. The 1989 Camaro consisted of the Camaro RS (Rally Sport) and the Camaro IROC-Z. This marked the return to the RS designation which had last been used in 1987 on a limited edition California only model. Bodystyles included a hatchback coupe and a convertible. The Camaro RS was the least expensive version and came standard with a 2.8-liter V6 engine. The RS convertible came standard with a 170 horsepower V8 engine. Standard equipment included a PASS-Key theft-deterrent system, manual lap/shoulder front safety belts with a visual and audible warning system, manual rear lap belts, an energy-absorbing steering column, an energy-absorbing instrument panel, energy -absorbing front seat tops, safety glass side windows, laminated safety windshield glass, safety glass rear window, safety interlocking door latches, passenger-guard inside door lock handles, inertia locking folding front seat backs, safety armrests and direction signals with lane-change feature. Other features included side marker lights and reflectors, parking lamps that illuminated with the headlights, four-way hazard warning flashers, back-up lights, a center high-mounted stop lamp, multi-speed windshield wipers, an inside rear view mirror with vinyl bonded glass, a starter safety switch, dual-action hood latch system, low-glare instrument panel finish, low-glare windshield moldings, low-glare wiper arms and blades, low-glare metallic steering wheel surfaces, and an audible reminder for ignition key removal. For 1989, Chevrolet produced 83,487 examples of the RS Camaro, 20,067 of the IROC-Z Coupe, and 3,940 of the IROC-Z Convertible. 111 examples of the IROC-Z were fitted with the optional 1LE competition package.

Impeccably maintained and restored to original 1988 Chevy Camaro IROC-Z convertible. RARE and authentic (not a superficial IROC conversion . . . check the build sheet codes). 305 V-8 runs strong and solid with no hesitation. Motor has no leaks or issues. Smooth shifting and powerful with no rattles or squeaks. SUPER COLD and fast blowing a/c. Cruise control and all electric windows and locks work. Self closing trunk also works like a champ. New brakes, new shocks, new tires, new convertible roof, new interior door handles and arm rests. This car has the original am/fm cassette system that works, as well as the factory alarm with remotes (uninstalled). It has a new amp and subwoofer (mounted in trunk) and new rear speakers that are wired discreetly to an audio jack so you can use an iPod or iPhone or any music device without disturbing original radio and dash. The interior is impeccable except for one worn spot on driver seat that is not noticeable. The dash is perfect with no cracks or warping. Exterior paint is perfect with high gloss and reflection. Only exterior blemishes are slight scratches on front lower bumper and rear but they are not visible unless closely inspecting. Head turning, fast driving super clean antique collectible American Muscle car. There is not a cleaner IROC-Z, especially a convertible, in the South for this price. This car qualifies for antique auto insurance through Hagerty. I currently have comprehensive to a value of $15,000 with roadside assistance that runs only $300 for 12 months! Car is located in a garage on 69th Street in Miami Beach. Please call or text Doug at seven, eight-six, 2two3 . . . seven-one53 with any questions or to come see it. Asking $8,000 but will consider reasonable cash offers for quick sale. Don't even try low balling before seeing this exceptional collectible. Look at any other and then see this one. It is RARE to find one this pristine for less than $15-20k. Camaro, Chevy, Mustang, Challenger, Z28, Z-29, IROC, IROC-C, classic, antique, collective, muscle, Ford, Chrysler, american, rare,
