Once in a lifetime barn find! Plenty of patina that only a Colorado truck could offer. This 99% original Studebaker is the perfect starting point for a restoration, hot rod, rat rod or resto mod build. Rust sure, rust thru, no! 75,738 miles! $6,200 or best This truck has the perfect amount of rust. The cab is in fantastic shape, doors operate the way they should, all the gauges are intact, wiring ect. My plans were for a tube chassis and some serious HP but honestly this is too nice of a truck to go any other direction besides restoration in my opinion. Colorado truck for most of its life if not all of it. Ft. Collins and then to Steamboat Springs where it was saved from a farm. Originally Gray with brown interior and red wheels with pin stripes this is a truly hard to find in this condition. Ran when stored and taken off the road. Last plate shows 1997 tag. Truck has a rebuilt battery and a some new plugs. wires need to be replaced I'm sure and next in the diagnosis chain. I started to dig into this project and haven't had the time to designate to it like I would have hoped so my loss and your gain. Wiring seems fully intact minus the starter wire(still needs to be redone ultimately.) Lights work, motor turns over by hand or by power but doesn't want to kick. I do not have the keys so that might have something to do with it. Clean Colorado title in hand 170CI Inline 6 cylinder 3 on the tree w/overdrive - See OD knob on dash Regular Cab SHORT BOX Step Side Original Chrome bumpers front and rear Cab Visor included 99% original - Missing hood emblems, driver window is lexan, steering wheel center emblem, interior door arm rests and one interior handle is not original. Heater, block heater and dual battery bracket original seat recovered The only spot of rust thru is at the very front the of the bed and it is a very small amount! The cab steps are in excellent condition, floor boards, engine bay, bed are all in great shape. Truck does have dents and dings, please see pictures and ask any questions you may come up with. Nothing anyone wouldn't expect from a 66 year old truck that was used as a truck but most of it can be easily fixed or adds that much more character if you decide to leave the patina. Driver rear fender is the worst shape out of them all and the only one that may be cheaper/easier to replace but still fixable with a little more body/collision repair knowledge. Two large dents are no biggie but the lower corners of that fender are rusted out. Rear fenders can be sourced for roughly $2-300 Please feel free to send me your phone number and I would be happy to talk about the truck or simply send me an email! Truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. Thank you for looking.

WATCH VIDEO ABOVE FOR A MORE DETAILED LOOK. 1950 STUDEBAKER 1/2 TON 2R5 SWB TRUCK. LOCAL TRUCK ALL ITS LIFE. 2 OWNER. LAST OWNER BOUGHT IT '65, USED IT FOR HIS CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS UNTIL '72 AND THEN PARKED IT UNDER HIS HOUSE IN THE BASEMENT. THERE IT HAS BEEN PARKED EVER SINCE. WONDERFUL PROJECT THAT IS REALLY SOLID OVERALL. ALL ORIGINAL WITH THE STOCK FLATHEAD 6/3-SPEED. MOTOR TURNS OVER GREAT BY HAND AND EVERYTHING UNDER THE HOOD IS 100% ORIGINAL. TRUCK WAS PULLED INTO THE BASEMENT IN 1972 AND COMPLETELY COVERED WITH ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING. COULDN'T SEE ANYTHING BUT A SMALL PORTION ON THE TAILGATE. EVERYTHING IS HERE EXCEPT THE KEYS. I DO NOT HAVE THEM AND COULDN'T FIND THEM ANYWHERE. WINDOWS ROLL UP AND DOWN SMOOTH. TIRES ARE ACTUALLY NICE AND TUBES HOLD AIR. GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR A VERY NEAT AND RARE TRUCK TO PUT BACK ON THE ROAD. SOME BODY RUST ON LOWER CAB CORNERS AND DRIVERS DOOR, DENTS AND DINGS. DRIVERS DOOR WAS CAVED IN AT ONE TIME FROM WHAT I CAN TELL AND POPPED BACK OUT. BUT ALL IN ALL IT IS A GREAT FOUNDATION. ASK ANYTHING, ANYTIME. ALWAYS HERE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS WITH 100% HONESTY AND ACCURACY. I RECENTLY PURCHASED A FEW ANTIQUE CARS OUT OF THE BASEMENT OF THE FAMILY WHO OWNED THIS TRUCK. IT WAS AN "ALL OR NOTHING" DEAL AND I JUST DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO PUT INTO THIS TRUCK RIGHT NOW. CLEAR INDIANA TITLE IN HAND. THANKS FOR LOOKING. BEST OF LUCK TO ALL. Shipping: Shipping costs are the buyers responsibility but I will work out the details with your shipper to load the truck up. Truck is sold "As Is" and "Where Is". No warranty expressed or implied obviously BUT if you are in the area you are welcome and encouraged to come and physically inspect it anytime you like. I'm not an expert on these things so PLEASE ask anything anytime. I'm happy to answer. Nothing to hide here. Paying: CASH IN HAND IS KING BANK TO BANK WIRE CASHIERS' CHECKS See my **EXCELLENT** FEEDBACK to know who you are buying from prior to purchase. PAYPAL IS NOTPREFERRED! I DO NOTLIKE PAYPAL AND I THINK THEIR FEES ARE OUTRAGEOUS! HOWEVER IF YOU WANT TO USE PAYPAL,YOU WILL HAVE TO BE LIABLE FOR THE EXTRA FEES. SORRY...BUT IT'S JUST RIDICULOUS WHAT THEY CHARGE FOR BASICALLY DOING NOTHING.

i have for sale my 1949 studebaker 2r16a 1 1/2 ton truck. it has 30885 miles showing on the odometer, the engine runs good but could use some tuning, i put a new coil on it and 5 new plugs(one of the plug holes has been drilled and tapped with a larger plug) it probably could use cap and rotor and wires and fresh gas, i dont know how long it had been setting when i got it and have never put gas in it. I had it tagged and insured and drove it some on a few short trips around the house, it drives and brakes well, the clutch works good but it grinds in between shifts (probably needs fresh fluids) i bought it off a lady who inherited from her late fathers estate and he had done some restoration to it. the flatbed has all new treated lumber, its been converted to 12volt, it has a lot of new lights on it but they need wired up. the truck will need wired completely, the key works and it charges and thats all that is wired, it needs a start button put in, i start it by crossing over the solenoid. the truck has 6 new tires that still have the (injection stubs) on them. the truck has been painted at some point and looks decent but nowhere near what i would call quality. the floorboards are perfect, the rockers may have had some rust repair but it doesn't look like they were horrible. the seats have been recovered. all the glass is good with the exception of drivers door vent, it is cracked on the inside layer. and the gauge cluster glass is cracked. I currently have the stake sides off of the bed but it is included, is in original condition , the metal post are great, the wood is decent but some pieces are chipped , cracked etc. the only other thingi can think of is the radiator leaks, it may be repairable or may need replaced. if you have any questions feel free to ask or come look at it in person. Ive tried to list all that i can think of but may have missed somethingthanksbrett

And by "a little different," I mean a Studebaker like this 1925 Studebaker sedan. It's got all the familiar upgrades, so it's a pleasure to drive, but nobody else will have anything like it and if you're tired of cookie-cutter fiberglass rods, this is an awesome alternative. This big Stude is imposing from any angle, combining the upright formality of a '20s sedan with the muscular look of a modern rod. It was built quite a while ago but recently freshened, so it has the right look and plenty of upgrades to make it a joy to drive. The black paint is appropriate on a big sedan like this, although you'll also find custom touches like the red and gold highlights and even very, very subtle ghost flames on the front end. They were careful to keep all the many details that make these cars unique, from the big grille shell and drum-style headlights to the cowl lamps to the rear-mounted trunk, all of which look pretty good with the other mods such as the semi-flush taillights and big driving lights up front. Yes, it's got a few signs of use, but we can guarantee that nothing else you can buy (especially at this price) will attract anywhere near as much attention. And it's still practical, too! The interior is totally custom, with alligator and ostrich hides on the bench seats and door panels. On the other hand, the wooden window garnish moldings are pure 1920s, as is the massive wooden steering wheel that still sits on the original steering column. Upgrades are many, including A/C, an AM/FM/CD/iPod stereo radio in an overhead console, and a pair of Auto Meter gauges in the center of the dash. The rear seat offers massive stretch-out room and still uses original window cranks and door hardware for a vintage look, and you'll note that even the windows have been pinstriped. None of this work could have been cheap and everything remains in good condition overall, meaning you can get in and head out on the road without any worries. The engine is a recent 350 cubic inch crate motor installed about eight years and 10,000 miles ago. It's considerably more powerful than the Stude's original inline-six and pushes the big box through the air with ease. It's pure function under the hood, with the accessories tucked in tight to the block, headers wrapped in protective heat wrap, and a 4-barrel carburetor up top. There's a big radiator up front and with all that frontal area, keeping things cool is effortless. The front suspension was borrowed from an '80s Malibu, and includes power steering and front disc brakes and there's a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission that makes this a great highway flyer. Out back, the rear end from a Blazer sits on gigantic leaf springs and there's even a heavy-duty hitch if you need some extra carrying capacity; the Stude's heavy-duty frame won't mind. The dual exhaust has a nice burble and the red steel wheels with trim rings and hubcaps look just right, even wrapped in fat BFG rubber. Either way, it would make a very cool car hauler. On the right door, it says "Roy R. View Large Images ? ? Description Pretty cool Studebaker here guys. Locally owned 2nd owner. Garage stored for the last 20+ years. Driven sparingly. 36,800 miles believed to be correct. Previous owner stated that the miles are correct. guy is in his eighties. Think he was shooting straight with us. When we acquired the car, we did quite a bit of work to it in our shop. We replaced the water pump, coolant, plugs, wires, cap, points, and rotor. We replaced the brakes all the way around, including new wheel cylinders. New battery and fan belt. New front brake hoses. New master cylinder. New whitewall radial tires. Comes with very nice Studebaker full wheel covers. There are a lot of related books, receipts, and other publications from the era, that go with the car. Looks like it had an amateur attempt a long time ago at paint and body work/rust repair. Paint is blistering/peeled on a lot of the body. The car could be used as is, as an occasional driver, or a body shop guy could take this baby to a whole new level. It really should be stripped down, repaired, and repainted. The carpet and seat covers have been replaced, and look great. Trim is pretty good. Minor pitting in some of the chrome. This Studebaker fires right up, and runs and drives better than one would expect. It steers and stops just fine. It just needs some good tlc to get the body looking fresh again. Studebaker only made the bullet nose models for 2 years. This is the Business Coupe mode 10G-Q4 of which only 2421 were produced. Of that group, only one was made with a V8. No one knows what happened to it, so I built my own. I took the photo from the Salesman's Brochure for my reference model. This is not a stock color that was offered that year, but the advertisers choose a powder blue for the manual. My goal was to put a Studebaker 289 V8 motor in place of the inline 6, add front disc breaks, new Edelbrock 4-barrel carb, and convert to 12 volts so I could add A/C for cruising hot August nights. This is basically a new car now and over restored for sure. The engine, tranny and rear have all been rebuilt. This model has an electric overdrive and will cruise at 68mph running 3000rpm and purr like a kitten, no strain at all. All new shocks and front springs and tires on it. This is not a hot rod but a cruiser. New rubber all around, new headliner and interior, with tinted glass. This is a nut and bolt restoration on which I have spent thousands of hours with attention to the fine details in the restoration. It has been over 10 years since the project was completed and everything is still like new. Paint, chrome, body work, glass, all still look brand new. She has only 4,000 miles on the new motor and driveline. (32,120 miles on body) Has always been garaged and only wet 3 times (caught in rain twice and washed once). The sale comes with many extra parts and a full set of manuals. A CD containing over 3000 photos of the project in all phases comes to document the work. All receipts and conversion notes as well. I have enjoyed the car but now I want something new to work on so I need to find a new home for her. This is a turnkey show car unlike anything you will ever see A unique car and piece of automotive art. A car truly ahead of its time. The Engine and Drive Line I was able to find a fairly fresh 1964 Studebaker 289 bored 80 over. The engine was mic-ed out and rebuilt replacing all underspec parts with new ones. New rod bearing, rings, valves, valve guides. Both heads were sent out and rebuilt. I have driven it only 4,000k miles and it is strong and tight. The stock carburetor was replaced by an Edelbrock 1404 carburetor. The engine is bolted up to a tranny from a 1959 Studebaker truck with a 3-speed on the tree, and electric overdrive. The original 2 piece driveline was modified to fit the new engine and tranny. The rear end is from a 1964 Lark and is a Dana 44 with a 3.31 ratio. Suspension and Breaks I replaced the front drum breaks with a conversion package from Jim Turner which uses off the shelf OEM disks and rotors .The old Champion springs were replaced with new HD coils to support the extra weight of the V8. All the bushings in the upper and lower a-arm's replaced by Studebakers West. New shocks and sway bar bushings were installed to complete the restoration. The steering was left stock wheels were replaced with new steel rims in 15x6 format Wide white wall radials size P205/75-R15, on both front and rear were mounted Body Prep and Paint I went with a basecoat/clearcoat combination, using the DuPont ChromaBase system for my trim and exterior paint solution. All the panels were stripped down to bare metal, treated with acid, cleaned and coated with either POR15 or Everclear Epoxy Primer 2K. Two coats of color and 3 coats of clear were applied then color sanding and final buffing. Cooling and insulation This car was built to be a Florida vehicle so I removed all the old heater support and even plugged the hot water outlets on the water manifold. Vintage Air came out with a bracket for the Studbaker V8 and it went on without any issues. I ordered the smallest evaporator unit I could find, due to the small dash area in these cars. Southern Rods Econo-Kooler with A/C only had the best solution. The dash is only 8" deep and I could not get the AC unit to fit so it was exchanged for the under dash unit. I had to modify the dash to accept the 16.25" faceplate of the AC unit. I ended up cutting out the cigarette lighter and ash tray area to make it. I'll end up losing the glove compartment when the chrome dash trim is mounted. The A/C passenger vent will interfere with it opening. It was a pretty anemic glove box anyway. The windows were tinted professionally and baked on when the glass was out of the car. Ten years later it has no lamination or peeling. I did scratch the drivers side window in assembly. The entire cab is lined in a thermal blanket to keep heat out. All new rubber was used in the project so the cab is pretty air tight. The AC blows cold and hard. Electrical Gauges & Wiring The stock 1951 model was 6volt positive ground. I converted to 12 volt negative ground to support the AC unit. All wiring was replaced with plastic modern wire in the proper gauge. A Painless Universal Fuse Box was installed and I built a custom wire harness for it. All connections were crimped, soldered and heat shrinked. Great pain was taken in hiding the wires and the battery was relocated to the trunk. The gauges were changed to 12 volts. The gas gauge was replaced with a 12 volt unit and the faceplate of the 6V was used to keep the dash stock. The gas gauge is not accurate, I think it's the sending unit is a different resistance than the gauge expects. Other than that, all other electricals work. The car has only been wet twice and washed once. It has been kept in a garage all it's life. In the winter it goes up on jacks stands and I run the engine every month until warm to keep the gaskets fresh. What does not work? The 12 volt gas gauge is not accurate. There is a small leak in the front windshield passenger side. The new Edelbrock 1404 carburetor can get starved out under high acceleration and get air in the line. I have checked the line for leaks and found none. The fuel pump is the standard mechanical one correct for the Studebaker 289. The fix is to pressurize the fuel tank to prime the fuel pump and it starts back up. I carry a tire pressure reserve tank behind the seat for this. Now I don't lead foot it off the line anymore and it has not failed under normal driving conditions in the last 6 years. An electric fuel pump will solve this. ** NO TRADES! To those that may not be so familiar, a short potted recap...After the merger of two long established automotive companies in 1955, the Studebaker-Packard Corporation looked to design their own “Finned” car with the development of the 1956 Studebaker Golden Hawk.Raymond Lowey and his design studio were commissioned by Studebaker to design a more “European” styled car. In 1953 Studebaker launched the Starliner Coupe, recognised as "one of the most beautiful cars ever made." Beautiful they were, but powerful, they were not.In 1956, top-of-the-range, Golden Hawk; the evolution of the ’53 model was launched. It also addressed the issue of under-power with the fitment of the Packard 352” engine, producing 275 BHP. Studebaker had succeeded in producing America’s fastest family car in the Golden Hawk. This car was bought in 2007. The last known time it had been “On the Road” was in 1983. The car underwent a 51/2 years body-off restoration, which was completed in April 2012. Whilst not a numbers-matching car, it’s fitted with a fully reconditioned Jack Vines, Packard 352” engine and ‘Ultramatic’ transmission with a 4588-Tru-Cool LPD unit, ensuring the transmission doesn’t overheat. The scale and scope of the restoration work is vast with labor hours topping over 1,100. NOS and Studebaker International’s re-manufactured rear lights, a complete Phantom Auto Works (Rene’ and Bonita Harger) interior – green & white with silver Mylar, black vinyl dash pad, headliner and retainers matched to Studebaker’s most often ordered exterior color combination in 1956, ceramic green & arctic white, to create a dazzling mid-50’s automobile. The glorious fully restored valve radio is linked to twin rear mounted aerials. Complimenting the interior visual aurora is a re-manufactured Shrock Bros. white steering wheel. Front and rear bumpers, headlamp rims, front grills, running and backup lights are just a few of the examples of where new chrome has been sourced. Underpinning this beauty is a stove-enamelled chassis. New components including brake system and brake servo, fully rebuilt front and rear suspensions and electrics provide a small insight to the exhaustive attention and detail driving this magnificent vehicle’s restoration program.Since the car’s complete renovation, it has covered less than 3,300 miles. This car is truly Automotive Art on Wheels!Condition Disclaimer:This vehicle is sold "AS IS" and there are no mechanical guarantees expressed or implied or any other warranties supplied or implied and should be assumed to have some degree of wear. We are celebrating our 15th year in the classic and collectible car business. We strongly feel that investing in a classic car or truck is still one of the safest and definately the most fun place to have your money stored. We are proud to unveil one of our awesome trucks. We have the best selection of trucks right now that we have ever had. Ever seen an innocent looking Studebaker pickup with amazing Supercharged V-8 power? Well this Stud has an attitude! This fully restored R2 pickup is absolutely beautiful! It is packed with a blown 259 c.i.d V-8 and a 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive. It has a sleek body with show quality Burnt Orange paint and stealth looks. It is a high quality restoration throughout including an immaculate steel bed. This truck is extremely unique with disc brakes, Positraction rear end, excellent body, interior, and chassis. Every time I walk past this truck I cannot believe how cool it is. It rides on a stock chassis, with steel wheels, wide white wall tires, complete new high performance aluminum exhaust, and nice/clean hardware. The exhaust sounds terrific. Sound more like a muscle car than a pickup for sure. The immaculate interior is beautiful. Look closely at the headliner. We have only had one or two Studebaker trucks in our 15 year history so I do not know if that is stock or custom with all those pleats. It looks great. A chrome shifter, column mounted tachometer, matching custom painted dash, bench seat, and full gauge pack is included. It is mostly stock without a bunch of modifications and the dash was left alone. If you have been looking at trucks and want to really get some jaws dropping at the next car show or cruise night, consider this R2. As I said it is very unique, ready to show, drive, and enjoy. It only has 6679 miles since the restoration so it still is quite fresh. Financing, insurance, and delivery are easily available. Street Dreams can assist with all aspects of shipping: Overland is only 1.00 per loaded mile. Canada ranges from 2500-3500. Overseas ranges from 3500-5000 dollars but most countries end up about 4000 US dollars. Thank You for taking the time to preview our auction. Many more thanks to our bidders and buyers.
