Encino Cream with chocolate brown and white interior. Built in South  Bend Indiana in November of 1954. 224 cu in Pacesetter V8 with 2 speed automatic transmission. All numbers matching, older restoration with all documentation of maintenance dating back to 1995. Many spare and NOS parts included. The interior, engine compartment and over all exterior show very nicely. New Tires, Complete service and fluid flush, Carb Rebuilt by National Carb in 2016, new rotor distributor cap, plugs, wires, ignition, all performed in 2016. Small amount of rust bubbles on the passenger side fender down low (see photos) and 1-2 starting on the driver side in the same spot. The rest of the car appears to be rust free. There will be a few small drops of oil after several days sitting in our showroom but in line with what you would expect from a car of this vintage. It is in very nice driver to show quality. I am not a Studebaker expert but happy to answer any and all questions. Lee F Slaughter Fine Cars Since 1948 | Rhys Slaughter | 904-829-3151 | St. Augustine FL 32086

Take one low-key 1966 Studebaker Commander 2-door sedan, add 383 cubic inches of blown Chevy stroker motor, a 5-speed, and a suspension to hook it up, then dress it up in show-quality paint. If you want attention, this nasty Stude delivers in a big way. The color is Pewter Gray from the GMC truck color pallet but it sure works well on the angular Studebaker. Small cars were pretty popular in the '60s, and the Commander looks awesome now that's been given a steroid injection. There are still signs of Raymond Loewy's vision in the dramatically sculpted fenders and the modern paint seems to make them even more prominent as the light plays across the surface. Someone spent a ton of cash on the bodywork, getting everything very straight and giving the paint a fantastic shine, and as a former economy car, the gaps are probably better than new. The front bumper was molded into the body and the simple, clean front end will have onlookers puzzling over its identity at shows. The big engine hanging out of the hood isn't much for keeping a low profile, but the car practically demands attention everywhere it goes, such is the quality of the work. Someone has thoughtfully added "1966 STUDEBAKER" decal on the windshield, which will surely cut down on questions at the shows and there's a cool Hurst badge on the tail that's a cool period addition. The interior is not as hardcore as the bodywork would have you believe, offering beautiful modern buckets with 5-point harnesses, plush carpets, and full interior trim. The wood-rimmed steering wheel warms things up a bit and a few flashes of red on the pedals and center console are a nice contrast to the otherwise monochromatic interior. The original instrument panel has been augmented with a big Auto Meter tach in the center and some auxiliary gauges under the dash, and the steering column is now a tilt unit that makes it easy to get comfortable. This cruiser also includes a neat under-dash A/C unit that blows nice and cold as well as a Sony AM/FM/CD stereo head unit that sounds great thanks to lots of sound-deadening materials inside the body. The trunk is still useful, although the mini tubs, fuel cell, and battery take up some of the space, but you can see how beautifully finished it all is. That big 383 is based on a 4-bolt main block stuffed with an Eagle rotating assembly with H-beam rods. Special blower pistons and a roller cam were selected to work with the BDS 8-71 supercharger and two Holley double-pumpers. RHS cylinder heads handle the force-fed mixture and an MSD ignition system lights it up. It's a tight fit in the Stude's little engine bay, but workmanship is outstanding, with custom side panels and a smooth firewall and lots of attention to detail. There's a big aluminum radiator up front that keeps it cool even with the A/C running and you're really going to dig how the headers snake out through the sheetmetal inner fenders. A Tremec TKO600 5-speed manual transmission sends all that supercharged horsepower back to a custom 9-inch Ford with 3.70 gears inside, so it's quick but easy-going on the highway. The chassis has been extensively modified and upgraded with rack-and-pinion steering, ladder bars, and 4-wheel disc brakes, plus a custom Flowmaster exhaust system that sounds wicked. Traditional Torque Thrust wheels are probably a low-key choice and they look awesome wrapped in big-n-little 205/75/15 radials up front and 29.5x12.5-15 Hoosier meats in back. Beautifully built, insanely fast, and rare enough to attract attention without being obnoxious, this cool Studebaker couldn't be duplicated for twice the asking price. 1955 Studebaker Commander Coupe This car was purchased in 2014 from a seller in Minnesota. It is being sold as part of an estate sale. Unfortunately we do not have the paperwork showing when it was restored or what all has been done during the restoration process. It does have a clean Oregon title with permanent Minnesota collector plates. The title reads 19,221 miles which was a misprint at time of title change. The actual odometer reads 17,912 miles. This car runs and drives beautifully with a 259 V-8 with overdrive and 3 on the tree column shift. It has a four barrel carburetor, new dual exhaust from the manifold back, running 185 hp. This car looks great and stands out. Runs very smooth and doesn't smoke or overheat. Motor sounds very nice. It's been garaged and everything work great all the way down to the horn. The am radio does work, but you can only use the push buttons to change stations. The knobs do not move the radio dial. The drivers side window does have about a 5" crack and needs to be adjusted and could use new rubber around the wing window. It can be a little tuff to roll up. The interior is in excellent condition and show no wear. The body of this beauty is straight and chromed out! Like any car it does have a few imperfections. Which I have posted pictures of. There are a few chips around the drivers side headlight ring and a 1" scratch on the chrome front bumper. On the passenger side the front fender has a little chipping where it meets the door panel. Wheels and tires are in great shape. Tires are like new. The hood has been recently repainted, but if you look close enough the color is off just a hair. Most people don't even notice it. As for the mechanics of this car, they are excellent with very few problems. The belts and hoses are in good condition and the valve cover gasket is dry. The rear wheel cylinder on the passengers side leaks a little. Motor is very clean, however there were a few drops of fluid under it when I moved it. Its been sitting in the same spot for a couple of months. We recommend serious buyers have the car inspected. We are not experts on cars in anyway and we have not had this car inspected. We are going on the information the family has given us. For questions, more photo's or to make viewing arrangements you can contact Tony at 503-989-0240. This car is sold "as is" with no warranty. Buyer must pick up or make shipping arrangements and will be responsible for all costs. Title will be released when car is picked up, along with a bill of sale after payment has cleared. Palpal is not accepted on this purchase, however a $500 deposit is required thru paypal, check or money order within 72 hrs. Please communicate this to seller. Buyer will pay with cash or certified funds. I am not a dealer nor an expert and I do my best to describe each item I list. All items are sold "as is", so please look closely at all pictures and ask any questions you might have before bidding. Thank You for looking.

Studebaker only made the bullet nose models for 2 years. This is the Business Coupe mode 10G-Q4 of which only 2421 were produced. Of that group, only one was made with a V8. No one knows what happened to it, so I built my own. I took the photo from the Salesman's Brochure for my reference model. This is not a stock color that was offered that year, but the advertisers choose a powder blue for the manual. My goal was to put a Studebaker 289 V8 motor in place of the inline 6, add front disc breaks, new Edelbrock 4-barrel carb, and convert to 12 volts so I could add A/C for cruising hot August nights. This is basically a new car now and over restored for sure. The engine, tranny and rear have all been rebuilt. This model has an electric overdrive and will cruise at 68mph running 3000rpm and purr like a kitten, no strain at all. All new shocks and front springs and tires on it. This is not a hot rod but a cruiser. New rubber all around, new headliner and interior, with tinted glass. This is a nut and bolt restoration on which I have spent thousands of hours with attention to the fine details in the restoration. It has been over 10 years since the project was completed and everything is still like new. Paint, chrome, body work, glass, all still look brand new. She has only 4,000 miles on the new motor and driveline. (32,120 miles on body) Has always been garaged and only wet 3 times (caught in rain twice and washed once). The sale comes with many extra parts and a full set of manuals. A CD containing over 3000 photos of the project in all phases comes to document the work. All receipts and conversion notes as well. I have enjoyed the car but now I want something new to work on so I need to find a new home for her. This is a turnkey show car unlike anything you will ever see A unique car and piece of automotive art. A car truly ahead of its time. The Engine and Drive Line I was able to find a fairly fresh 1964 Studebaker 289 bored 80 over. The engine was mic-ed out and rebuilt replacing all underspec parts with new ones. New rod bearing, rings, valves, valve guides. Both heads were sent out and rebuilt. I have driven it only 4,000k miles and it is strong and tight. The stock carburetor was replaced by an Edelbrock 1404 carburetor. The engine is bolted up to a tranny from a 1959 Studebaker truck with a 3-speed on the tree, and electric overdrive. The original 2 piece driveline was modified to fit the new engine and tranny. The rear end is from a 1964 Lark and is a Dana 44 with a 3.31 ratio. Suspension and Breaks I replaced the front drum breaks with a conversion package from Jim Turner which uses off the shelf OEM disks and rotors .The old Champion springs were replaced with new HD coils to support the extra weight of the V8. All the bushings in the upper and lower a-arm's replaced by Studebakers West. New shocks and sway bar bushings were installed to complete the restoration. The steering was left stock wheels were replaced with new steel rims in 15x6 format Wide white wall radials size P205/75-R15, on both front and rear were mounted Body Prep and Paint I went with a basecoat/clearcoat combination, using the DuPont ChromaBase system for my trim and exterior paint solution. All the panels were stripped down to bare metal, treated with acid, cleaned and coated with either POR15 or Everclear Epoxy Primer 2K. Two coats of color and 3 coats of clear were applied then color sanding and final buffing. Cooling and insulation This car was built to be a Florida vehicle so I removed all the old heater support and even plugged the hot water outlets on the water manifold. Vintage Air came out with a bracket for the Studbaker V8 and it went on without any issues. I ordered the smallest evaporator unit I could find, due to the small dash area in these cars. Southern Rods Econo-Kooler with A/C only had the best solution. The dash is only 8" deep and I could not get the AC unit to fit so it was exchanged for the under dash unit. I had to modify the dash to accept the 16.25" faceplate of the AC unit. I ended up cutting out the cigarette lighter and ash tray area to make it. I'll end up losing the glove compartment when the chrome dash trim is mounted. The A/C passenger vent will interfere with it opening. It was a pretty anemic glove box anyway. The windows were tinted professionally and baked on when the glass was out of the car. Ten years later it has no lamination or peeling. I did scratch the drivers side window in assembly. The entire cab is lined in a thermal blanket to keep heat out. All new rubber was used in the project so the cab is pretty air tight. The AC blows cold and hard. Electrical Gauges & Wiring The stock 1951 model was 6volt positive ground. I converted to 12 volt negative ground to support the AC unit. All wiring was replaced with plastic modern wire in the proper gauge. A Painless Universal Fuse Box was installed and I built a custom wire harness for it. All connections were crimped, soldered and heat shrinked. Great pain was taken in hiding the wires and the battery was relocated to the trunk. The gauges were changed to 12 volts. The gas gauge was replaced with a 12 volt unit and the faceplate of the 6V was used to keep the dash stock. The gas gauge is not accurate, I think it's the sending unit is a different resistance than the gauge expects. Other than that, all other electricals work. The car has only been wet twice and washed once. It has been kept in a garage all it's life. In the winter it goes up on jacks stands and I run the engine every month until warm to keep the gaskets fresh. What does not work? The 12 volt gas gauge is not accurate. There is a small leak in the front windshield passenger side. The new Edelbrock 1404 carburetor can get starved out under high acceleration and get air in the line. I have checked the line for leaks and found none. The fuel pump is the standard mechanical one correct for the Studebaker 289. The fix is to pressurize the fuel tank to prime the fuel pump and it starts back up. I carry a tire pressure reserve tank behind the seat for this. Now I don't lead foot it off the line anymore and it has not failed under normal driving conditions in the last 6 years. An electric fuel pump will solve this. ** NO TRADES! 1941 Studebaker Commander for sale. The car has been parked for a few years and is not running. The car has the flat head six with three spd on the column and orig six volt system. The engine turns freely and has compression and spark but I assume the carb needs some attention. The body is solid with only a few spots of rust. I have most orig trim but i know the pass side grill is missing. The inside is rough and the floors has some spots that need patched. The brakes are not working on car. The car rolls freely and the headlights work. This would be a great start for a rat rod project. The windshield is busted on the driver side and the door glass is cracked but they are both flat glass so they are cheap to replace. call 1 618 697 8294 for more info. The car is for sale locally so auction may end at anytime. I will help with pick up but buyer is responsible for all cost

1950 Commander Here is your chance to jump right into the collector car driving season with a beautiful turn key '50's icon. Get in, start it up, and head to the cruise-in or car show. Join the Studebaker Driver's Club and learn why so many folks around the world love and admire these cars (over 12K members).
