1957 CADILLAC ELDORADO BIARRITZ CONVERTIBLE- #489 OF 1800 PRODUCED. 3 OWNER CALIFORNIA BLACK PLATE CAR WITH 96,000 ORIGINAL MILES. I HAVE OWNED MANY OF THESE CARS OVER THE LAST 30 YEARS AND THIS IS A MOSTLY ORIGINAL RUST FREE CAR .THE FIRST OWNER WAS THE FAMOUS DANCE INSTRUCTOR -ARTHUR MURRAY. THE CAR WAS SOLD NEW IN CALIFORNIA. THE SECOND OWNER BOUGHT IT IN 1961 AND SOLD IT IN 1977 TO THE 3RD OWNER . THE ORIGINAL MATCHING NUMBER MOTOR WAS REBUILT IN 1983 BUT NOT FIRED UNTIL 2016 WHEN I GOT IT RUNNING.HE MOVED NEAR CADILLAC MICHIGAN IN 1994 AND I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM HIS SON . THIS BIARRITZ HAS SOME OF ITS ORIGINAL FACTORY PAINT-COPPER METALLIC. THE INTERIOR IS ORIGINAL COPPER LEATHER WITH THE FRONT SEAT REDONE IN VINYL IN 1977.WHILE THIS CAR HAS A SINGLE CARB, WHICH WAS SOMETIMES REPLACED AT THE DEALERSHIP, I DO HAVE A DUAL QUAD CARB SETUP, BUT IT NEEDS SOME WORK. I ALSO HAVE THE BARREL CLOCK., AND CALIFORNIA TITLE AND OWNERS MANUAL. THE CAR RUNS FROM THE GAS TANK AND MOVES. IT NEEDS BRAKE WORK AND SOME TRANS WORK. THE PASSENGER WINDOW STOPPED WORKING RECENTLY. THE FLOORS ARE RUST FREE ORIGINAL . THE BODY HAS HAD SOME PAINT WORK. IT ALSO HAS ITS ORIGINAL FIBERGLASS PARADE BOOT.. Nice top bows. Although the restoration appears to have been done a while ago, it has held up very nicely, with just a bit of age showing. An example of this is the inner top pads, which show signs of use. . Beautiful Engine Bay, with the 365 Cubic Inch Dual 4 Barrel 305 Horsepower Cadillac V-8! . Very clean engine bay . The cowl mounted trim tag is important, it shows the style number 56-6267SX. SX is the identifying code for the Eldorado option. . . Nice detailing and decals . Clean . Nice undersurface of the hood and nice clean hood pad . The frame in the engine bay was nicely painted when the car was restored.. Beautifully and correctly finished trunk . Nice! . For sale is a 1985 Cadillac Biarritz Stainless Hardtop 2 door coupe. New Re-manufactured engine installed 14,798 miles ago. Odometer reads 45929 and has probably had a rollover as carfax reported. Bought from a man who spent A LOT of money getting this car in shape mechanically. He had the re manufactured engine installed and I have the service records for all of this work. No rust or pitting on chrome or body. Small nicks in paint. Interior is near perfect with the exception of the driver seat showing wear and driver/pass map lights broken. All carpet is in great shape. Tires have decent tread. Garage kept. Never driven in winter while I've owned it. Fires up right away. To the best of my knowledge these are things that need attention--Front Grill isn't original but looks slick in my opinionDriver/Passenger map lights brokenPassenger visor won't stay upPaint-May or may not be original (I'm unsure) but needs attention in some areas. From a distance looks great but closer up you can tell it needs some TLC. New owner would probably opt for a resprayDash has some sun cracksDriver Window motor needs to be looked at as it is not functioning right now. 1962 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible. Beautiful color combination, in the correct (code 10) ebony black paint, with correct (code 1) white convertible top, restored red bucket seat interior, excellent chrome, Factory A/C, loaded with options. This car is a factory Biarritz, (code 6367) not a clone or model 62 dressed as a Biarritz. Very nice car that needs some work, this car has been sitting for about 8 years, the brakes should be checked, car pulls to the right when applying the brakes, the drivers door power window and rear drivers side power windows do not work, car needs some front end work including upper control arm bushings, headlight high beams do not work. Paint is very nice, shines nicely but has typical door dings and chips in the paint from age and use. Colorado car, now has a North Carolina title. Lower rocker panel was repaired years ago and is starting to bubble in a couple areas. Over all, this is a nice car that is deserving of the cosmetic and mechanical work needed to make it a dialy driver or special weekend show cruiser.
