My ex brother in law passed away last year and this was his car. His only son lives out of state so I acquired this vehicle to sell it for him. I have only driven the car about 50 miles and it has always run nice and has lots of power. It is smooth and quiet going down the road. The body is very nice with a few imperfections. There is a small paint scab on deck lid and the rear bumper is cracked on the right side and slightly loose. The left door panel is loose at the bottom. The air conditioning cover under the hood is cracked and taped with duct tape, but does not seem to affect the operation of the heat or air. As far as I can tell all the accessories are working at this time. I have never changed the oil and it is pretty clean and the antifreeze is up near the top. I have only looked under this vehicle from the ground and can not see anything but normal wear and rust from a 2002 vehicle. The ABS light is erratic and comes on at times. I was told that a rear wheel bearing is acting up with a speed senor on it. It does not seem to affect the operation of the vehicle. The Michelin tires are worn and cracked, but the car ride and drives very smooth with them, but they will need replaced in the near future. Overall this is a nice average - above average vehicle. I am telling you what I know about the vehicle. It seems to have a good drive train and drives like it should. My brother in law bought this vehicle in 2012 for $8000. It was a extremely clean car then but has been stored outside the last few years, but still has decent paint. I have had issues getting insurance on this vehicle and need to move it ASAP. This is a mostly original 1971 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible. I bought it a little over two years ago and have enjoyed it the last two summers. It runs and drives well, but sometimes has a vibration around 60mph. It gets about 11 mpg in the mixed driving I do. I consider it to be a low-end driver. In the winters, I: Installed Pertronix IgnitorReplaced front Bushings, ball joints, sway bar links, and CV axlesReplaced starterRebuilt carburetorReplaced radiator (I have the original one that comes with the car if you want it) Includes Factory Service Manual, Fisher Body Manual, and Convertible Top Manual The leather is dry, but I have been applying conditioner to it periodically, which is slowly softening it up. I began repair on two tears in the driver's seat. The car DOES have rust. There is some in the lower parts of the doors and front fenders, a small spot over the right rear wheel well, and the front floors should be replaced. Someone put new metal in over the old rusted metal, so it is not a Flintstones car, BUT, it will eventually need to be repaired right. Because it was not functioning, I removed the A/C compressor. It goes with the car. It needs a new top and repairs to the driver side windows before the car is left out in the rain. Because I store it in a garage, I haven't worried about that, but if you don't have a garage, you need to be prepared with dry storage until it can be repaired. NOTE: If you want particular pictures, let me know and I do my best to get them posted ASAP. But do not make an offer until you are satisfied that you have seen enough to *know* you want to buy the car for that price.Many years ago, I had someone click Buy It Now on a car without asking *any* questions and was dissatisfied with the car once he got it. I do not want a repeat of that experience. I will assist with arranging shipping at buyer's expense. If you are close enough to Cleveland for delivery, I can probably bring it to you for a reasonable fee after the snow melts and the salt is washed away.

This is an absolutely beautiful example of one of Detroit's finest luxury autos ever built. Nothing looks, drives, or handles like a Cadillac. Newer and smaller so called luxury cars just can't compare in ride characteristics. This particular one has been garage stored, never driven in snow and only when necessary driven in rain. The absolute best part is there are only 21,550 miles on it. Mechanically the only known issue is that the power antenna sticks going down. The A/C compressor was replaced in 2011. The wheels and tires have approximately 4,500 miles on them. There is a slight cigarette smell in the interior. I am the original owner of this beauty bought from Central Cadillac in Cleveland, Ohio. It was purchased as the wife's car, hence the low milage. Primarily driven as a pleasure vehicle never suffering the rigors of a daily driver to and from the work place.
