2002 VW Jeeta 1.8 Turbo Mechanic;s Special Engine runs great Oil and Filter just changed Transmission is not shifting properly Bucks and kicks between 2 nd. and 3 rd. gear shift The car can be moved around and reverse works fine but it is not road ready Needs professional transmission diagnosis and repair Possibly a bad control unit or solenoid in valve body ? But most likely it will need a transmission overhaul or replacement It is a 5 Speed Automatic Transmission The Body and paint are excellent and the interior is very nice as well The trunk release stopped working so that will need fixing too Access into the trunk is available through the rear seats that fold down Brakes and tires are about medium condition Moon roof , Owners Manual Clear CA Title Currently on a Non-Operational Status with the CA. DMV There are no back fee;s due and I have the Title in hand Buyer to pay for shipping Local Pick-Up in Marin co. 2004 VW Jetta GL 2.0L, Silver, 162K miles, clean title, second owner (overall well maintained! I've owned this car since it had 156k miles on it and have service records/receipts to go along with the work performed!), non-smoking car. No accidents, no mechanical problems. I have bought a new car and no longer need this nice car. Automatic, Power door locks, Power windows, AC, AM/FM/CD, like new Michelin tires, premium alloy wheels. Everything works, runs and drives perfect. There are few minor scratches and scuffs here and there (small dent on lower driver and passengers side door SEE PICTURE). Best vehicle I have ever owned! Very reliable! The 5-speed manual makes all the difference compared to the automatic transmissions offered in similar models! I am the 2nd owner for over ten years! Have always maintained it with everything the dealer (or my independent mechanic) recommended! Runs great. Very perky and handles like a sports car! The A/C stopped working and I spent $1,350 with the VW Dealer and installed a new "blower and dryer" as they recommended. The, it stopped working again and they say it needs an EVAPORATOR. Dealer refused to honor their repair warranty, so I will sort it out with them legally! I have decided to sell the wagon at a discount, because of the added A/C expense and purchase a new Jetta Sportswagon! This wagon runs like a champ, can't say enough good stuff about it! If you can live without A/C, this wagon is the perfect daily driver! Disappointed I had difficulty with the dealer. They should have diagnosed the A/C problem correctly in the beginning, but now it has resorted to bad feelings and my wanting to buy a new car NOT FROM THEM! PRICED TO SELL!
