Make Us An Offer... *Please read this report below from the Subaru mechanic: The Good: Body is in near perfect shape with no dents and no scratches. Inside is also in excellent shape (well taken care of), seats are all super great, no rips or problems. Dash and all else checks off as very, very clean and good to go. The Bad: Air conditioner belt missing, tires only have 50% left of tread, shocks could use replacement. Exhaust and undercarriage have some rust (car is from New Hampshire). The Ugly: WRX needs shortblock replacment, bearing material in oil. Mechanic also stated that he has "concerns about condition and replacement of other items such as turbocharger, clutch, radiator and hoses, timing belt kit, cylinder heads/ valve work as well as breather and fuel hoses". However he only inspected it so these are not for certain needed fixes. Firewall/ bulkhead compromised where clutch pedal mounts and so it may also need repair he says. Story: We bought it at auction as "minor dents & scratches" vehicle and had it shipped to us in New Mexico. When it arrived we quickly found out that the engine is bad. It ran for about an hour before it conked out on us and our hearts dropped! We had it towed to a local 5 star and perfect review Subaru repair shop where they inspected and tested the car and gave us the bad news. I had bought this car for my 19 year old nephew and we are unwilling to invest in it further so have decided to cut our losses!
