This 1968 GTO is one of 92 produced with the Ram Air package. She is factory equipped with a 4 speed close ratio manual shift transmission with 4.33 Posi-Traction rear axle, as verified by the PHS docs. According to PHS, only 5 black on black Ram Air GTO convertible are known to have been produced. The '68 Ram Air GTO is the only convertible GM equipped with a 4.33 rear end as standard equipment. This fine example still retains her 100% numbers matching original drive train assembly. Sold new at Haynes Pontiac in Hyannis, Mass, she also came factory equipped with "wonder-touch" power steering, front disc brakes, rally gauges with tachometer, all soft-ray tinted glass, ride and handling package. Original wheels are shod in vintage appearing Redline radials for superior ride and handling. She presents as a "concours driven" car, a fresh repaint on a fine older restoration that has been driven on a limited basis. The undercarriage was also re-detailed to driven show car standards.
