Leaks oil.Runs, but not properly. Vehicle putters after a few miles. Driver side window does not roll downLeft rear tire has a slow leakThat's all I can think of that's wrong with it. I had the vehicle for more than 8 years, maintained it to the best of my ability. Bought it from the with 75,000 miles and had documentation of its history. Still have this along with the work I had put into it.

passenger seat recliner is snapped off, but can be used/repaired if you find the parts. Idk how much that would cost. The door interiors have some issues, but they can be fixed if you have the money. I have tons of spare parts you can have for no extra charge if you come by, you can see everything for yourself. I am asking about 10,000 dollars...I can be reasonable. But, that is kind of what I'd like to get out of it...watch the video I am going to post here for more information.

I bought this car in April of 2013 to convert it into a KITT replica from the classic 1980's television series Knight Rider. I have enjoyed it ever since, especially watching it come together. Through FaceBook and other public outlets, I have made many new friends and made contact with hundreds of fellow replica builders around the world. It has been a great experience! I love this car but I'm ready to let it go to a new home! There is nothing wrong with the vehicle and it is fully paid off, so I am not in a hurry to sell it. It served it's purpose for me and I no longer need it to feel fulfilled! Also, can check out my FaceBook page The Knight X Project if you want to learn more about the car. There are many parts to list, too many in fact. So in order to answer some common questions, I have created a Question and Answer section below with lots of pertinent information. If I've missed anything, please feel free to contact me and I can better answer your questions. Q: What year and model is your car? A: My replica is a 1991 Pontiac Firebird, base trim model. Q: What made you decide to use this particular vehicle and not an earlier model? A: I felt more comfortable driving around in a 90’s car than an 80’s car. Primarily because of advances that were made during the 10 years Pontiac produced the Third Gen Firebird; engine, suspension, impact zones, bonding agents, etc. Q: Is your car 100% screen accurate compared to KITT in the television series? A: Since my car is a 1991 model, it does not have the Trans Am side vents near the front wheel fenders. It also retains the ground effects that only were produced during the 1991 and 1992 model run. If you watch old episodes of the series and look carefully, you'll spot countless variations of the car throughout the show. Many different cars were used for a variety to shots. Therefore it is impossible to find a replica that is 100% accurate! Q: Why did you keep the 1991/1992 ground effects on your car? A: I was inspired by another replica out there that was built using a 1992 Firebird base model with a V6 engine. In my opinion it was one of the finest KITT’s ever produced by a conversion enthusiast. It’s still my favorite! Plus the ground effects make my KITT stand out. Q: What have you done so far to your replica? A: All new paint, new headliner, new carpet, repainted center console from a 1982 Trans Am, new center console cover, PMD seats with new upholstery, and of course the infamous 4th season front nose with top of the line quality LED scanner, and a high-end blackout taillight cover (partially installed). Also, the heavily sought after 15” Turbocast wheels with matching bowling ball hubcaps. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg! Oh, and new tires. Less than 500 miles on them!Q: Where did you have your car painted?A: My car was painted by a company in Northridge, California called Picture Car Warehouse. They are a motion picture car supplier that has been building cars and props for multi-million dollar films for decades, such as The Fast and the Furious series, the Judge motorcycle from the movie Dredd, vehicles from the films Argo and Rush Hour 3, just to name a few. You can go to their website and see some of their work. You can also google the owner Ted Moser and view a short film made about him and his process. They did a stellar job on the car, which cost close to $8000 to complete. I had another source value the paint job at $10,000! The result is a finish that looks like a black mirror when you look into it! The paint was a two-stage application and was wet-sanded afterwards in order to remove ripples and orange peel. You could literally use the reflection of this car to get ready in the morning it's that clear! Q: What is your favorite part? A: I would have to say besides the super cool scanner, the Turbocast wheels. They are the accurate 15x7 size and are hard to come by. They’re almost like the holy grail of Knight Rider conversion parts. Once you put them on your car, you immediately see KITT materializing before your eyes. And they’re expensive! Q: Why did you choose a car without T-Tops and a manual transmission? A: I bought my car in original condition. It was a great price and didn’t require any real TLC to function. Not having T-Tops was a trade-off for a car that had not been molested or modified with questionable aftermarket parts. Same with the stick shift transmission! The only part of the car that is not original is the Formula/Trans Am hood that was added during the painting process. It is the bulge hood with the scoop running down the center. And it makes the car look menacing! Q: What vendors did you use to build your replica? A: Lectric Enterprises (Brenon Fulbright), Jay Ohrberg, Knight Designs (Billy Gunter), and Advanced Designs in Automotive Technology (Don Colie). These are all high quality vendors. Q: How does the front scanner work?A: Very simply! There is a control box inside the car that you can operate the scanner with. You can adjust the speed at which the scanner oscillates, the pattern, and there are even sounds built in which filter out through a waterproof marine speaker mounted underneath the chassis of the car.Q: Who designed your scanner?A: A company called Lectric Enterprises. One of the best vendors in the business. The cost was close to $700. It came with the control box mentioned above! Eventually I changed out the scanner with another vendor because it fitmy fiberglass bumper better, but I was able to use the original control box with. As a bonus the new owner will received a spare scanner built by a vendor named Joe Huth. This scanner is considered one of the most screen accurate available! Q: Why should I buy your unfinished replica when I can build one on my own for less? A: If I had to do it over again, I would buy a finished replica instead of building one from scratch. Getting a car painted is easy (albeit expensive), and doing maintenance is not overly challenging. But wait times for parts, especially the highest quality, can take a long time. Unless you have access to a body shop, fiberglass materials, electronics components, upholstery, a wealth of high-end tools and machinery, building a car for under $20,000 on your own will be very difficult. Plus you have to have the knowledge to do it all! Q: How much has been invested in the car?A: A good friend and fellow replica builder once said to me: "I stopped counting after $10K!" Honestly I don't know the exact amount, but so far somewhere in the neighborhood of $25K, excluding the high quality dashboard I have on order with Knight Designs.Q: What does a completed Knight Rider KITT replica cost?I estimate that a fully-functioning KITT replica with all the bells and whistles would cost at least $35K. And the price can only go up from there! I once saw a KITT that could back out of the driveway on its own! Q: Does your car have a clear title? A: My car has a 100% free and clear California title! I will include a detailed Auto Check report for free for your piece of mind. The registration and tags are paid up and are good till March of 2016! Also, the car recently passed California’s strict emissions test, one of the fiercest in the nation. Q: Are there any other upgrades to the car that you have not mentioned? A: Probably. Building one of these cars is very complex and time consuming. I have done my best in regards to summarizing the inventory of work done to the vehicle. As an added bonus I will also INCLUDE ALL EXTRA pieces that I acquired during the project. For instance, I have a single extra PMD seat (a set usually costs $400), miscellaneous interior plastics, a genuine 1982 Trans Am rear bumper cover, and much more. It will ALL go to the new owner! I will load it up inside the car when it is delivered. Oh, and I have a few boxes of very expensive Dynamat sound deadener sheets… that stuff is not cheap! Q: Do you have anymore pictures of the car?A: Yes, a boat load. But they cannot all fit on eBay. I have some on my FaceBook page and I can also provide more to interested parties.Q: What else does the car need to be a complete replica?A: The exterior is 99% complete. It just needs the rear blackout installed over the taillights. That piece is included in the sale. Other than that, the front passenger hubcaps needs to be refinished because I scratched it on a curb. But that is an easy fix. I have 95% of all the parts needed to complete the inside of the car, the dash, the gauges, the custom Gullwing steering wheel and switchpods, and the lower console apparatus. But those will be for sale shortly in a separate auction or on FaceBook. However if you are interested in those items, you can contact me about them as well.Q: If I have any other questions can I contact you directly? A: Absolutely. Building a replica is a commitment and not cheap. If you buy this car, a lot of the hard work has already been done for you! So ask away as much as you want. I know I would! You can call 323-481-8972 to speak to me in person. I am located in California, PST.Q: Finally, the most important question of all, does the car include the cool California license plate KNXGHT? A: Unfortunately, no. That is the one thing I am keeping as a memento of my replica! It took years to get that exact configuration approved by the California DMV. BUT I will include a genuine Knight Rider license plate prop given to me by a Teamster Captain that worked on the show! It’s pretty darn cool…

Hi, and thanks for looking. Selling my 1988 Firebird in K.I.T.T. black. Rebuilt 305 CID V8 with 140k miles on the rebuild. Fresh, rebuilt 700R Auto transmission with less than 4000 miles. Flowmaster 3" exhaust give this car an agressive, sexy muscle car growl. Eaton Posi Rear end. Brand new brake rotors and pads up front. This is a clean, California car that from what i could tell, has no rust. Passed California emmissions easily, so i'm sure that you should have no problem with smog/inspections if you are out of state. This car looks sexy and sounds mean, but it does have it's flaws, as you may see in the pics. The interior is descent and acceptable, but does show signs of wear. The carpet is very clean, as are the rear seats. steering wheel surround is still soft. Has some dents and scratches that you can see in the pics. also had some body work done on the front passenger fender, that was rattled can painted black, and also on the rear driver quarter panel. The power doorlocks to work, but takes a few clicks for the locks to engage/dis-engage. Power windows work as well, but are a bit slow. the trunk lid opens and closes as it should, but has a little play in it that you can hear when you hit a bump. Windshield has a crack, and the front tires do have some dry rot. Left blinker isn't working for some reason. No radio installed, but I will include an mp3 head unit to go along with the car. Also included are extra head light motors. This is my daily driver car and it's never let me down. I get compliments EVERY DAY on this car! everyone loves it and wants a ride in it. This car is clean, and is gaining value every year. Don't pass up the opportunity to own an iconic car that is sure to hold, and grow it's value. If you have questions, please feel free to call me directly at 615-517-1149 If you plan on shipping the car to your location, please call me so that we can discuss the details so that I can help provide the transporter a smooth process of getting the car loaded. Thanks for looking, and God bless!!

up for auction is a very clean and original example of a 1978 pontiac firebird. this firebird has been in storage since 2011 and has clear california title on non op. this firebird is a one owner car. I have all the documentation from wen the car was originally purchased in late 1977. I have the the financing paperwork from the original purchase. along with owners manual and paperwork from the dealer and all service records from the cars whole life since it was new. the car does run well it has small block 305 V8 completely original and untouched this car has AC and yes it still woks well. power steering and power brakes and automatic trans with a console shifter transmission. transmission shifts well. the tires and the interior are pretty weathered from the outside elements. the original carpet in the drivers compartment is heavily worn out and needs replacing. I do have a much nicer matching carpet from a crashed T/A that is included in the sale. the tires I would recommend replacing before any long drives. the car is equipped with original 15 inch pontiac rally wheels, however i am missing one center cap. THERE is NOT any rust or cancer on the car it has been california all its life, the car was originally built in Ohio. the car has less than 53000 original miles and can be verified with the countless service records that i have for the firebird. i really do not want to sell the car but i have another project that needs my attention. it is up to the auction winner to arrange pick up or transport for this vehicle. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me. If you require any other pictures please let me know and I will gladly take them and get them to you ASAP. On May-31-15 at 20:10:04 PDT, seller added the following information: As you can see in the photo of the passenger side quarter panel a poor repair was attempted. Earlier in the firebird life a motorcycle ran into the passenger quarter panel. I have photos of the damage before the repair. Could be easily fixed if new owner chose to repaint, but for now it is perfect since the car is driver and not a show winner yet......

Here is a 3 owner low miles sunny state car it's whole life. NO RUST PERIOD on this car. This beautiful 69 Firebird Convertible spent over 90 percent of it's life in Florida. The last few years here in Los Angeles California. It sat for many years in a heated garage. The 51,000 miles is original. When I got the car 4 years ago, I went thru everything as it had sat for so many years. All rubber, chrome everything was changed. Here is a list of what the car has:350 V8 Engine that has been serviced about 300 miles ago. (It has a set of TA HP Heads for more power)350 Automatic Transmission with Highway gearsRally 2 Package- Sport Wheels, Sport Steering Wheel with Tilt,Tach and gauge package,Hold down barNew Vintage air condition system. Installed to stock equipment. Looks like it is from the factory.Upgraded Power Windows.Electric Door Locks,Power Steering and Power Disc Brakes (We upgraded)am/fm cassette with kick panel speakers and electric antenna.electric topHigh back bucket seatscustom center console Front and Rear Spoilerslight packagebattery doctor (Battery charges when plunged in to save battery)Custom Car Cover Here is what was done on car:All rubber and chrome replaced.suspension redone along with exhaust system.Transmission completely rebuilt.High performance cooling system added no overheating here.High performance starter no heating problem there also.New four barrel high performance carburetor with manifold.Engine gone thru.Rear end gone thru.New fuel system with tank, lines everything.New Convertible top. Mint original interior that looks brand new. The car is pretty much a brand new looking and driving 1969 Firebird Convertible. The outside is painted a 1969 Grand Prix SJ Blue a custom ordered color from the dealer. This color is very close to the 69 Camaro color. A gorgeous color on this car. The only flaw in the car was the repaint of the original color done on this car before I got it. Even though the car looks fabulous if you look real close poor prep was done on the car.Silly to put a perfect paint job on this car never to drive it. It still wins awards at shows. I have tons of paperwork on the car and have had a great time working and driving this car. Time to move on and finish building my custom 1965 GTO convertible. So email and come and drive the car or just have it shipped to you I can help there. Thanks for reading.
