Pontiac Fiero SE 1987 Project Car with Mark II Styling Kit and not running. This 1987 car was bought by my friends husband back in 1991 from someone in MA. He drove it back to California and got himself a NAF Mark II Styling Kit from North American Fiberglass and worked on it for a few months, lost interest and it has sat in her garage ever since. He never drove the car again. 25 Years? and she wants it gone! Rats have moved in and out of it over the years and it shows. I have vacuumed it out. I don't know what he paid for the car originally But the kit cost him 5,995.00. There is a step by step manual included with this purchase but I am not sure it is all there. I see lights and other parts! We have not tried to start the engine as to not damage it since it has sit so long and leaving that up to a professionals. I am not sure if all the kit parts are there nor if all the Fiero original parts that are required to complete the installation of the kit are there. So we are sell this item CAR and KIT ASIS and what you see in the pictures is what you get. There are 2 sets of keys and the key for the tire locking devices on the tires. There are about 4 boxes of parts that are being included with this car. Some definitely you will need and others may not go to this car at all. There is a small part on the fiberglass by the door that has broken. See Pictures! Front Windshield has 2 nicks in it But it looks like all the other glass is good. All the upholstery in the vehicle needs to be replaced. See Vehicle History Report for more details! Size of engine ETC. However, it is a 5 speed stick shift and I think the VHReport has it down as a automatic. For shipping purposes we can put all the small stuff in the car and put the fiberglass body in place on the car and strap them down. Anyone who wants to take a look at this vehicle on our property is welcome to come take a look. Just let me know when so we can make arrangements. If you buy the whole car and kit and just take what you want. That is OK too. We would just get rid of the balance for you. I have pick slip and California registration was non operational through April 2016. So you will need to deal with that!

I bought this car in 1995 (from the original -1st owner - a nice lady who drove it some 68K miles) and I took good care of it: kept it in a garage in WA state, used only synthetic oil, did not race it etc. It was not used for a few years and the fuel tank needs to be emptied, cleaned and it needs a new fuel pump (they go for $60). I had no engine trouble before the pump stopped working properly. (normally you can hear the pump in the 1st 2-3 seconds after turning the ignition key without cranking the engine) I put a voltmeter on the ALDL Connector pin: G (Fuel Pump Test near the cigarette lighter socket) and the voltage gets there OK so it is obviously a pump issue. Here in CA (San Diego -Imperial Beach) where I brought the car, I am not allowed to work on it (apartment buildings /city ordinance etc.) so if you the proper workspace and some 2 hours, this is easy. you are getting a brand new battery: I bought it from a local dealer (supposedly much better than the ones at the local store) and I paid $100; I was hoping to get the fuel pump running with proper cranking voltage as they say that sometimes a good battery is what it takes. The spare tire is like new (never used or installed) important: California bidders, please note that you will need to install a CA catalytic converter: like this: Magnaflow 334006 Catalytic Converter California EBAY item: 191692271243 Price: $95.90 If your local laws require emission tests, it will probably be a good idea to get a new catalytic converter to make sure that the car will pass (WA state where the car was registered did not require such a test) it is a relatively small investment for this car model, and the existent one is old. the interior is in decent shape considering its age. It has the original radio with graphic equalizer and all the car speakers are good. The front tires are in good shape, and it will need new rear tires. For the low "buy it now" price here - it is a bargain. The car is worth much more but I must sell. Please consider the towing: tow dolly vs. flat tow. u-haul has both (for cheap), and the car is light. I used a flat car trailer to bring it to my current location as I cared about the car and letting it ride on 2 of its wheels all the way was not the best option for this nice classic. I have a nice little 1986 Fiero for sale. It has the 2.8 V6 with an automatic transmission. I had been looking for a V6 Fiero for ever! Every time I saw one sitting I would stop to check it out. They were all the 2M4 2.5 L 4 cylinder cars. I had one and much prefer the V6! I bought it from an auto shop in Santa Barbara California. It has been in SB all of it's life. It runs and drives. The engine has a noise in it that sounds like a rod knock. The guy at the shop said that they think it is a stuck injector. I am not enough of a mechanic to be able to tell. It starts right up and sounds good. When I rev it I can hear the knock but it does not seem to be at crankshaft speed. It does not smoke. It seems to have good compression. I took a picture of the gauges with it running and you can see the oil pressure is good. I have driven it up and down the street where I live. The trans shifts well and the steering and brakes are fine. The cruise control works . The windows both work well . The sunroof does not leak. The interior is real decent. The driver's seat has a couple of tears. See pics. The A/C is intact but needs to be charged. I was going to add Freon but it is an R-12 system and I only have R-134. The tires are not too bad and have a lot of tread left. The mechanic said that they just installed a new computer and did a tune up. There is some paperwork for an after market suspension upgrade in the box of extra goodies that come with the car. I do not know enough about it to determine if it has been installed. I just kind of laid the brand new bra on the front to take the picture. I do not think it has ever been installed. It has the Fiero insignia on it. The body panels are all good. No cracking or broken pieces anywhere. The Fiero is still wearing the factory paint job. The clear coat is failing in spots. I have the California title from the seller. I have not transferred it to my name. He told me that there are back fees. I do not know how much they are. If it is registered outside of California they will be deleted. There is a California DMV rule to remove back fees from antique, classic and special interest cars that I have used on other vehicles too. I am sure that the spare tire and jack etc. have never been removed. they are intact and the trunk area looks almost as new! I live in Southern California about 90 miles North of Santa Barbara and 10 miles South of Pismo Beach. I have a car trailer and can deliver it, up to 200 miles or so, after it is paid for. It has good paint and interior (no rips, tears or stains), no body damage, and is stock/unmodified. My father has owned it for 23 years (we think 1 owner before him). He doesn’t drive it anymore so I am helping him sell it. It is a great example of a well-cared for, unrestored 1988 Fiero GT. Almost continuous storage in a garage is probably the biggest contributor to its excellent condition. If I had the space, I would keep this car. It looks great, is fun to drive and really is an eye catcher. In addition to an oil/filter change and new air filter, many gremlins you typically get with a low mileage car have been addressed including: Replaced dead battery New floor mats (backing on originals was beginning to deteriorate, originals will come with car) New clutch master cylinder to replace leaking unitNew coolant tank to replace cracked tankNew heater core due to leaks (no coolant got inside the car)New thermostatCleaned engine electrical system groundsTested radiator fan (Car did not overheat. Wandering temp gage was due to bad electrical system ground connections. Grounds cleaned, issue resolved.)Outstanding issue: The car seems to be a little rich on cold startup. If I get time, I will work on this. I suspect the cold start injector switch might be bad.
