My hobby is buying very rare classic cars and vehicles of special interest, I go through them and get them ready to enjoy, I date code tires for safety repair any mechanical failures and drive and enjoy until more come along. That being said, I have a group of friends that enjoy working on these old cars and they are all very skilled, most have well over 30 years building their own cars and restoring their own cars, we have a great time and turn out some great rides. I have a small very well equipped shop that is climate controlled, but I am limited both by space and money, so they must be sold to move on to others I have already purchased . I really enjoy the hobby and enjoy visiting with other hobbyist so I ask if you have interest in purchasing a car advertised here, pickup the phone ,ask questions ,be informed and take advantage of buying a car from someone willing to tell you about it, instead of just buying a car at auction that you know nothing about. 3-owner car,bought at Bob Moore in Oklahoma City new. I have known the car for several decades,a friend of mine bought it from orig owner. I am listing it for a friend that bought it from him. Hurst Performance Research #849,Car is in registry. Car has correct tornado block.but #'s don't match even though orig owner swears it has not been changed. Has correct D heads,J intake,exht manifolds,air cleaner. Has OH trans and 3:23 posi. Car was repainted in Lacquer in the late 80's,Paint still looks good,has a few flaws[see picts] but have a quart of lacquer paint for repair,nice driver quality. Interior is nice,original seat covers . Door panels have been replaced. Nice dash,tach & gauges work[owner put after market gauges for accuracy] have all orig sending units and will go with car. Power Steering,Power disc brakes,Sport wheel,Rare A/C. Car is straight,no rust,very solid. I bought this 1968 Cutlass convertible about 10 years ago which has a clear 1968 Texas title which is in my name. It was running and driving good when I bought it. About 2 years ago I saw a 69 Hurst olds and I wanted one of them so I had the car Restored to look like a 1969 Hurst Olds convertible. These parts were changed, doors, hood, front radiator core support, trunk lid, front fenders, new front and rear bumpers, new hood scoop, new rear spoiler on the trunk lid, the rear back trunk section of sheet metal off of a 69 cutlass convertible was installed for the tail lights to fit it. This made the car look like a 1969 Hurst olds (clone). It had a Olds 350 engine in it so I got a Olds 455 engine and had it rebuilt. There was only three 1969 Hurst Olds convertibles produced and one of them was destroyed. I had watched the video showing one of the two in existence and tried to copy it as close as I could. There are 2 videos of the car listed at the bottom of this listing that you can watch. This car was built to be driven so it is a driver quality car to be driven. It may look like a show car to some people but it is a driver. You can drive it to a local car show and you might win the show with this car. Due to my bad health I must sell all of my cars and our house. It was just finished being restored October 2014. A $500 deposit required within 48 hours.
